There's one office and one office only I'll ever ever ever let touch my face and that's Dr. Torkian's. I've been coming to him since 2016 after 3 years of contemplating on doing something to my under eyes. It's been an insecurity of me from it being hollow but puffy and he made me feel so comfortable since the moment I walked in back in 2016. Everyone in the office from the doctor himself, his entire staff, Olivia who makes sure the office runs smoothly and handles it all, to nurse Erin are a dream. Going into the office I was at first nervous because I had gone to a few other consultations where they just wanted to inject me all over my face. Speaking with Dr Torkian and Olivia in my consul. This is not a pushy office, which is great. I'm very conservative and my choices so they have always been helpful. 5 stars for injections. 5 stars for bedside manner. He was a fan of my comedy and we could analyze beauty for hours. He spends a lot like of time w you and we were chums. 0 stars for jumping on a bandwagon for dangerous medical device. I wound up in critical condition as a result. Autoimmune encephalitis, encephalopathy, burns were coming from my brain. Disgusting. Led me to a severe brain injury. My cure was a simple bottle of Gabapentin. Entire bottle day one. My brain attacked my face and CNS. There are 2 of us. She knew to go to Neurologist. She didn't go into an altered mental state as I had. Both our burns were coming from out brains, but mine were electrical. So cure ..anti-electricity pills. Horrific. So, now you know the cure, so the next person could just go to Urgent care and be cured in a day. I couldn't get help. Trapped in my brain w no oxygen. Cooking. Most people could not imagine putting their hand on a stove for five min. I had no choice. I needed to be rushed to ICU that day and be cured. ( Read other reviews) Hospitals won't let me in bc it's "cosmetic.". No oxygen did not help matters. Severe neurological attacks are on the menu and now women know what to do and who to go to, as there is an underground society trying to help one another like Holocaust survivors. Pathetic. So many doctors just saw the 80 percent profit and did not look at safety or aesthetic results. Practices still carrying this bomb should be thoroughly examined. Dr. Torkian completely destroyed my nose. About 9 months ago, I came into his office hoping to have a revision rhinoplasty to make a small change to my nose. I was only looking to lower the tip of the nose and tuck the back portion of my columella. I was having the surgery during the middle of the school year, December 2016, so obviously I wasn't looking for a major change that my peers would notice. When the cast came off, I was in total shock. I looked terrible. I could see my nose was now wide and crooked. My nostrils are completely uneven (I told Dr. Torkian that I was fine with the way my nostrils looked beforehand). The bottom of my nose looked like it had been cut at an upturned angle, and the tip was not lowered. I was devastated. Dr. Torkian made so many changes I NEVER asked for and that were never discussed with me during the consultation or pre-op. To make matters worse, I am now having difficulty breathing (I did not have any breathing problems before the surgery). Six months after my surgery, I made a second mistake of having him operate on my nose again. I wanted both grafts taken out in my nostril rims, hoping this would restore some symmetry. After the second surgery, they were still uneven, and I could still feel a graft in one nostril. When I brought this up to Dr. Torkian, he told me it was just scar tissue. After recently consulting with three different facial plastic surgeons, all of them agreed that this was a graft in my nostril, not scar tissue. I have a feeling that Dr. Torkian lied to me to save face. Regardless, this is further proof that this doctor clearly lacks an attention to detail and does not know what he is doing. If you are considering a rhinoplasty or revision, I would warn that this is a permanent change, and it extremely difficult to reverse. Make sure you pick a surgeon who agrees with your aesthetic goals, and not someone who is going to tell you what you want to hear, then make unwanted changes like Dr. Torkian did. I honestly made the biggest mistake of my life choosing this doctor. I spent $14,500 and ended up getting none of the changes I wanted. It is so difficult for me to look in the mirror now, and I am not sure If I'll ever have a normal looking nose again. read more

It's not that I didn't love my nose, but my septum was a little deviated and it was a wide nose and a lot of cartilage-- again props to the doc for totally seeing what's I wanted with my really bad way of explaining. First let me start by saying that my consultation for my rhinoplasty was explained to me in full detail as to what can be done give me the optimum results I desired. The office staff was so friendly and efficient. When I went in the morning of surgery the nurse & anesthesiologist were excellent. Then Dr. Torkian took care of me assuring me and the OR was state of the art. After 2 weeks post op I am extremely happy with the results. I was given a gift certificate and it had no expiration date. It had been over a year since it was given to me. Since there was no expiration date I didn't think there would be an issue. However, when I got there the receptionist ( Latina girl with lots of make-up) asked for it and I told her I had emailed it to the dr's office and then I was shown to the room. Then she comes into the room and starts to ask where I had gotten the certificate and who gave it to me. She said that she couldn't find it and suggested that it wasn't or might have been a counterfeit. I told her that I was given the certificate from a friend that has a client that goes to see the Dr. I was so embarrassed but I told her that they should have an accounting for that and that I could get the cc receipt. I had to call my friend during the middle of the day and bother him. Then she comes in with the Dr and he asked who referred me and I told him and boy did things change. The Dr proceeded to say the very was fine and the receptionist found it in their system. All in all the price per unit was $14 and they usually charge $16. With so many places in BH to get injectables the staff should really be better trained to exhaust all avenues available to them instead of making a client feel that they had been given a fake certificate. Very tacky and very rude. The Dr was nice enough but my experience was ruined. I went to Dr. Torkian because my mom has been going to him since around 2014 and his work on her looks amazing! I did liposuction in my neck completely awake. I know that sounds crazy, and I was so nervous! But surprisingly Dr. Torkian had me laughing almost the whole time! The procedure was completely painless and took only about an hour. I went to Dr Torkian on August 25, 2016 for dermal fillers in my lateral cheeks. Dr. Torkian DID NOT mark my face off BEFORE INJECTING the filler in my cheek on my first visit instead, he told me he was going to "eye ball" the injection sites and inject the filler after I told him NOT to do so. I also asked Dr. Torkian use a micro-cannula to inject the filler so I would minimized any brushing and or nerve damage that I may experience at his hands. But, Dr Torkian told me he doesn't recommend micro-cannulas because it was NOT A GOOD INJECTION TECH FOR HIM TO USE and used a needle to inject the filler in my face. Dr Torkian made several injections DIRECTLY into the Infra Orbital area of my cheeks a.k.a. THE ALERT ZONE, that Allergan advises all its practitioners NOT inject in their patients. BTW- Well-trained injectors mark off the face to prevent nerve damage to their patients. The filler was improperly placed in the left Mandibular area of my cheek. Once again, I wasn't marked off as per Allergen's recommendations to ALL its practitioners. Now, I have because of this I have asymmetric jaw line, ringing in left ear and crunching noise when I chew food. Dr. Torkian injected the infra orbital areas of my face aka the Alert Zone and wasted the majority of the Filler in the sub Malar area of my cheeks and not the lateral cheeks or the ZYGOMATIC EMINENCE as per my specific request and instructions. As a result, there is a large Bolus in the left infra orbital area of my face which that can be seen and felt. By the way, DR Torkian pretended not understand the importance marking off the face BEFORE INJECTING dermal fillers into the cheeks even after I insisted he mark-off my face BEFORE INJECTING me with anymore fillers on the second visit. He laugh at me and told me my husband knew too much about dermal fillers on my second visit but it wasn't my husband who knew too much, it was ME who knew too much. I went home and did I my research about dermal fillers, injections site placement and safety concerns after I came concern about the injection sites location. **Ladies please educate yourself about dermal fillers. Dr. Torkian is awesome. He performed a septoplasty on me this past April and I couldn't be happier! He AND his staff are so genuinely friendly and informative. I am the daughter of two ENT's not located in CA. Needless to say, I know what a great physician "looks" like...he kept me well informed of the pros and cons and his follow ups with me are just as extensive to make sure I am healing correctly as his initial consultation. I never felt pressured by him or his staff to book my surgery. He was so reasonably priced, which came as a surprise since his office is in Beverly Hills. I am glad I did it when I did because I feel like everytime I go, the waiting room is more busy with patients...and he still is always on schedule. As for parking, I have seen him basically every month for a follow up and have never failed to find metered parking right across the street. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!! read more
