Most folks do not like when they have to go to medical facilities--myself included. Many times a…read morevisit is necessitated for tragic, human illnesses like my dads stroke. And that is why I am here now, and can review WRMC. WRMC, also known as UPMC Williamsport, is a beautiful, recently constructed medical campus very close to downtown Williamsport. During dad's stay, the medical attendees, nurses, physician assistants, social services, and doctors were all very friendly and personable--taking the time to get to know dad the patient, and also visitors such as mom and myself. They always asked if there were any questions or anything they could do to make our visit (or stay) more comfortable. The facilities--the waiting areas, the hallways, the patients room & bathroom--are modern and cared for with a consistent emphasis on cleanliness. I am confident this would be the case even when we are well past the COVID-19 pandemic. Dads meals were all served warm, and he enjoyed them enough to eat as much as he could. Hospitals are not resorts, so gourmet meals should not be expected--regardless, meals appeared to be of good quality. Parking is plentiful, and appears not something you must worry about. I was surprised that WRMC hospital parking had so many handicapped spaces still available during the daytime. I am grateful that WRMC is here, and is a great place for folks to receive quality healthcare!

He's a total idiot - don't know how he ever got through medical school. He has mood changes and anger issues. Don't request any tests; he'll fly off the handle loudly telling you that HE'S the doctor & how he hates patients telling him what to order. He had a resident Dr. there sitting in on my visit once.... he told her, right in front of me that he doesn't allow patients to tell him what to do... he's very arrogant. Whatever he wants to check on you, he doesn't ask , he'll just go right ahead and do it. Being a woman, he's reached right under my shirt and pulled up my bra above my breasts, and then announces that he's doing a beast exam! He's done the same thing to a friend of mine whose also a patient of his. Makes you feel violated. That man is in the wrong profession. I certainly don't recommend this doctor to anyone.

The second person got called to work somewhere else in the hospital. The woman told me I should tell radiology that the front is short staffed and that's why I'm late. She said radiology can be very rude to people who are late, and I wasn't late. (All she needed to say is that they're short staffed) About 10 minutes later the same woman from the front desk came over to tell me that she called radiology and let them know it wasn't my fault I would be late. About 5 minutes after that, a second woman comes over and asked me to self check in on the computer. I did and she walked away. Once I was done I asked the first woman if I should sit back down or stand there and wait. She replied with "I'm not sure what the procedure is." So I started walking back over to the chairs to sit down. She said, "Excuse me, don't walk away". I walked back over to her and she said "Please be patient, we're doing the best we can" in a very rude tone. Ummmm, I wasn't complaining, nor was I the slightest bit annoyed or impatient. When I asked if I should wait or sit she said she didn't know. If she wanted me to wait why didn't she say so when I asked? Anyway, the second woman came right back to get me and sent me on my way to radiology. The rest of my experience was great. No problems, not much more of a wait. But, of course that couple seconds of rudeness from a single person is all I can focus on.
