My husband visited the ER in Wilkes Barre location after falling and hitting his head, he had a…read morescan or X-ray of his head only. He was discharged . The next days he wasn't getting any better and returned to the ER because he couldn't walk or use his arms at all. After returning for the second visit his was admitted for Spinal Stenosis, after MRI his entire body. A few days later he had two surgeries on 2 separate days and they both went well. The after care was the problem . The hospital seemed understaffed and his pain management and toileting needs weren't handled well at all. He was transferred to another part of the hospital where the nurses weren't as busy, that was a complete fail. He needed help with the urinal because he couldn't grip or pick up anything at that time. The call lights weren't answered in a timely manner and resulted in him urinating on himself and all over the floor more than once. He was also accused of being inappropriate because he grunted at the end of urinating trying to assure he emptied his bladder! Somehow the nurse and or CNA's took the grunt in a sexual way . Kwaniqua (she goes by Nikki) was the only hands on employee that didn't take that the wrong way. When I arrived from NY my husbands was filthy and there was sticky urine all around his bed. I bathed him and shaved him but he couldn't wait to leave there. I work in healthcare so I was really bothered by the condition of his room . I'm unsure who's job it is to call house keeping but every employee that entered the room had to know the floor needed to be cleaned! The discharge was pretty smooth except his disability paperwork wasn't forwarded to the surgeons office and as a result he didn't get paid. We had to drive back to Pa for a virtual visit because the surgeons license is for PA only, not a big deal but the lack of communication was. 3/13/2026 we're still waiting for paperwork because of a release that was needed. So many balls were dropped related to getting these papers filled out I'm still baffled. Thanks to Bailey in the Orthopedic Office for picking up the ball for the rest of her fellow employees and employer! It took Bailey one day to figure out what many couldn't for whole 60 days. We have the portal set up, paperwork uploaded and his 2nd follow up appt scheduled , all within 24 hours!

Geisinger as a company is absolutely terrible. They want to have a monopoly on everything yet…read morerefuse to extend their services into rural areas. Their phone system is unbearable. You cannot call into the office that you want to speak with since everything goes to central scheduling. If I want to ask my doctor a question I cant just call in and ask. I get 5 different staff members who don't even work in his office first. Now they dont allow you to schedule appointments besides for with your PCP no matter how long the wait is for an appointment. They also have my county grouped with other counties limiting where we can be scheduled and sending us an hour away. If grouped with different counties we could only have to drive 30 minutes. There is no child psychiatrist for snyder county at all. Just video appointments few and far between. Also only 2-3 psychologists for children for all of snyder county and they are all in selinsgrove or lewisburg.

Most folks do not like when they have to go to medical facilities--myself included. Many times a…read morevisit is necessitated for tragic, human illnesses like my dads stroke. And that is why I am here now, and can review WRMC. WRMC, also known as UPMC Williamsport, is a beautiful, recently constructed medical campus very close to downtown Williamsport. During dad's stay, the medical attendees, nurses, physician assistants, social services, and doctors were all very friendly and personable--taking the time to get to know dad the patient, and also visitors such as mom and myself. They always asked if there were any questions or anything they could do to make our visit (or stay) more comfortable. The facilities--the waiting areas, the hallways, the patients room & bathroom--are modern and cared for with a consistent emphasis on cleanliness. I am confident this would be the case even when we are well past the COVID-19 pandemic. Dads meals were all served warm, and he enjoyed them enough to eat as much as he could. Hospitals are not resorts, so gourmet meals should not be expected--regardless, meals appeared to be of good quality. Parking is plentiful, and appears not something you must worry about. I was surprised that WRMC hospital parking had so many handicapped spaces still available during the daytime. I am grateful that WRMC is here, and is a great place for folks to receive quality healthcare!

Hmm. Would've gave zero stars & that's telling a lot. Don't come here. Especially at this location,…read moreit's not worth the time & there's better places to visit. Some of those medical workers are unprofessional & are enabled to disrespect patients, especially minority ones. One of the male workers was giving dirty looks to random patients in the waiting room. I suspect due to racial prejudice & also sexism, he didn't do it to the non-minority patients in that place. Another worker was performing blood-work on a patient & she was behaving in a passive-aggressive demeanor from the get-go. She was talking in a catty, rude manner & tone the entire time. Then her strange, unstable behavior escalated towards the patient who was actually calm & civil during the entire encounter, unlike her. Assumed her actions was also because of racial-prejudice, she acted normal & acted polite with the non-minority patients, yet was completely the opposite towards the patients who didn't look Caucasian. I guess both of those workers forgot who's land they're on. Anyways she kept roughly & loudly throwing items in the trash bin, nearby her. While she was taking the patient's blood, she jabbed the needle into the patient's arm aggressively in a stabbing motion. Was a very belligerent gesture & just inconsiderate. I guess she thought she was going to try to "intimidate" the patient for having the "audacity" to seek care & get her blood-work done. I've studied in healthcare & that's not how taking bloodwork is supposed to be performed. It's supposed to be done in a careful, calm demeanor & set-up. I'm aware she knew that too, I'm not dumb & can't imagine what else she's done to other patients in secret. If this medical practice's workers can't hold back their awkward & malicious, weird little compulsions to mistreat, harm/assault random patients for no reason, then they need to find somewhere else to work. Nobody has to deal with that unacceptable behavior because they're minority, especially as a woman of color. Not to mention & after that all happened, I've had two other people tell me that some of the medical rooms are dirty, some of them have dirty floors & one of the rooms had a dirty floor with some food wrappers on the floor, near the bed. That's disgusting & can't be trusted to be treated properly if I got to worry about catching a infection from bacteria & filth.

I am a 76 year old with an enlarged prostate. I went to UPMC Carlisle Urology for treatment…read more Dr Dussinger recommended surgery. So we set date of 12/16/25. I have severe osteoarthritis and take Diclofenac for pain. The Dr said to go off the Diclofenac 7 days prior to the surgery because of the risk of bleeding. I complied. After the 5th day I was suffering. After the 6th day I could not walk. I took an Oxycodone left over from a shoulder surgery. And was able to call his office. I explained the severity of the pain I was in and asked for a scrip for 2 or 3 days worth of Oxy. He refused!! He told me to resume taking the Diclofenac?? He was willing to risk severe bleeding on the operating table rather than give a perfectly safe scrip for Oxy!! Even if I had agreed it takes 4 or 5 days to get back in my system. We had to cancel a surgery that I badly needed l. What kind of Quack would be so heartless?? Update: I received an AI Generated response to this post. They want me to reach out to them so they can tell how wrong I was. They have my phone number why don't they call me. I have a call into Wellspan to see one of their Urologists.

They kept me, the spouse, well informed all along the way. Everything ran like a well oiled machine. Also, the hospital is easy to get to, with plenty of free parking. I've also gone there for an emergency I had, and received excellent care myself. Would highly recommend Carlisle Hospital to anyone needing to go to the hospital or emergency room.
