Most folks do not like when they have to go to medical facilities--myself included. Many times a visit is necessitated for tragic, human illnesses like my dads stroke. And that is why I am here now, and can review WRMC. WRMC, also known as UPMC Williamsport, is a beautiful, recently constructed medical campus very close to downtown Williamsport. During dad's stay, the medical attendees, nurses, physician assistants, social services, and doctors were all very friendly and personable--taking the time to get to know dad the patient, and also visitors such as mom and myself. They always asked if there were any questions or anything they could do to make our visit (or stay) more comfortable. The facilities--the waiting areas, the hallways, the patients room & bathroom--are modern and cared for with a consistent emphasis on cleanliness. I am confident this would be the case even when we are well past the COVID-19 pandemic. Dads meals were all served warm, and he enjoyed them enough to eat as much as he could. Hospitals are not resorts, so gourmet meals should not be expected--regardless, meals appeared to be of good quality. Parking is plentiful, and appears not something you must worry about. I was surprised that WRMC hospital parking had so many handicapped spaces still available during the daytime. Hmm. Would've gave zero stars & that's telling a lot. Don't come here. Especially at this location, it's not worth the time & there's better places to visit. Some of those medical workers are unprofessional & are enabled to disrespect patients, especially minority ones. One of the male workers was giving dirty looks to random patients in the waiting room. I suspect due to racial prejudice & also sexism, he didn't do it to the non-minority patients in that place. Another worker was performing blood-work on a patient & she was behaving in a passive-aggressive demeanor from the get-go. She was talking in a catty, rude manner & tone the entire time. Then her strange, unstable behavior escalated towards the patient who was actually calm & civil during the entire encounter, unlike her. Assumed her actions was also because of racial-prejudice, she acted normal & acted polite with the non-minority patients, yet was completely the opposite towards the patients who didn't look Caucasian. I guess both of those workers forgot who's land they're on. Anyways she kept roughly & loudly throwing items in the trash bin, nearby her. While she was taking the patient's blood, she jabbed the needle into the patient's arm aggressively in a stabbing motion. Was a very belligerent gesture & just inconsiderate. I guess she thought she was going to try to "intimidate" the patient for having the "audacity" to seek care & get her blood-work done. I've studied in healthcare & that's not how taking bloodwork is supposed to be performed. It's supposed to be done in a careful, calm demeanor & set-up. I'm aware she knew that too, I'm not dumb & can't imagine what else she's done to other patients in secret. If this medical practice's workers can't hold back their awkward & malicious, weird little compulsions to mistreat, harm/assault random patients for no reason, then they need to find somewhere else to work. Nobody has to deal with that unacceptable behavior because they're minority, especially as a woman of color. Not to mention & after that all happened, I've had two other people tell me that some of the medical rooms are dirty, some of them have dirty floors & one of the rooms had a dirty floor with some food wrappers on the floor, near the bed. That's disgusting & can't be trusted to be treated properly if I got to worry about catching a infection from bacteria & filth. read more

I took my dad to the Williamsport, PA UPMC ER on 3/15/2025 & wanted to share my experience. The level of care and compassion from the nurses was top notch. Nurse Katelyn assisted with his discharge. She was amazing. There was another RN that assisted us. I cannot remember her name. She had blonde hair, was wearing a pony tail and had an intern with her. she too was amazing! It is easy to fire off a complaint. I hope people take the time to recognize and compliment those who are going above and beyond and treating others with kindness, care and compassion. This is an excellent hospital. My brother, who lives locally, developed serious bleeding in his lungs and went to their emergency room. He was admitted but unfortunately worsened and required ICU care for 10 days. The entirety of the ICU staff were just outstanding. They tolerated my constant presence, answered questions, and most importantly, they saved his life. My brother is completely recovered and back to work. I am eternally grateful to Drs. Ramesh, Kist, and Akenyemi, along with all the other physicians, mid-levels, and nursing staff. I work at a very large hospital in Phoenix, and can say that the quality of ICU care here is equal to ours. Thank you. read more

Every time we go there we are treated warmly and the staff work as quick as they can. Its always clean and the nurses try to laugh and make the ER a less scary place for kids. They are good at ensuring the next step and connecting us to the next medical professional we may need. read more

I cannot overstate our satisfaction and appreciation for the care that my mom received during her stay here. From the doctors to the nurses to the hospitality staff, we felt safe, informed and well-cared for. Mom came in with an infection of unknown origin and thanks to the care and dedication of the medical professionals, she is leaving with a diagnosis and treatment of the source cause. After a week of care and treatment, the doctors and nurses are too numerous to list here, but we thank each and everyone who provided care for her. read more

I am extremely unhappy with the care my wife was given in the ER. She was sent there by our primary physician because her symptoms were severe. She was so weak she couldn't walk. She was treated extremely rude by both of her nurses and then they complained about her to the other nurses within ear shot of me right outside of her room. All she did was question why tests were being repeated since we brought in the results that were done 3 days prior and the main reason our physician sent her here was to get an MRI of her abdomen area. I guess you aren't allowed to question the medical staff. Even the nurses have an arrogant mentality. Go to Geisinger. Never again. read more

With today's insurance, it's not like people really have a choice of what hospital to go to...especially when the same group buys up all three local hospitals. But if you do have a choice, make it Lewisburg or Danville. I can't tell you the number of horror stories I've heard here, from my one daughter's fractured tibea being missed, to my other daughter being given the wrong heart medication (a medication not approved for children), to nurses tripping over my catheter and IV, to fluid drained from around a collapsed lung mysteriously thrown out without being tested for cause, to our neighbor being told she had only a short time to live due to a brain cancer she did NOT end up having.....again, if you have a choice, go elsewhere. If you don't have a choice, God be with you. read more

I came here for an asthma test, the doctor helping me was very kind. At first, my breathing was inconsistent. But, she gave me some inhaler vapor that felt liker my lungs were being filled up with god's nipples and helped me breath a lot better. 5/5 read more

My father came in by ambulance last week after suffering a heart attack. The doctors and nurses in the ER were very professional and helped him with his every need and request. I don't remember the ER doctors name unfortunately but his nurse Richard was awesome. He was so accommodating to us in our time of need. My family and I know that these professionals go far and above what is expected of them. He is continuing his recovery with the best doctors in the hospital, in my opinion, Dr. Steelman and Dr. Angelo. The nurses that have been helping him in the step down ICU, Janel and Missy are very nice, knowledgeable, helpful and professional! Thank Williamsport Hospital! read more

to say I am unhappy with what happened to me would be an understatement, I had a seizure and was treated at the ER, in the past 4 years I have had three strokes, had 3 spinal surgeries, I am in constant pain, since I was taking morphine for my pain, the ER doctor said I overdosed, but in my discharge papers said they couldn't point to what caused my seizure, but now im being labeled as a drug addict, I can never receive pain meds again... just because when the EMTs were at my house they couldn't find my meds, I keep them hidden so they aren't stolen, I don't just leave them out in the open, I'm not stupid, all my meds were in my apartment and I had all of them, I DIDNT OVERDOSE, but now I'm screwed, I now live in the most pain in my life, and nothing I can do about it.... read more
