Just in case you are looking for a great ABA provider, this one is top notch!!…read more We have had several ABA providers over the past 9 years and with the exception of a handful of AMAZING behavioral therapists from the other facilities, Get Social! Is by far the best company we have worked with. The BCBAs, Social Leaders, program supervisors and therapists are exceptional! They have social groups, which is a plus! They actually follow through with what is being set up, discussed, needs to be done, etc. We feel heard during the parent meetings and valued. The therapists seem well versed and adjust the sessions to the kids needs each day. The BCBA is part of sessions, which we have never seen before unless highly needed or requested. The whole team seems to be educated for the needs of my kids, not a cookie cutter program.

Cindy McCullough is the owner and lead therapist for Get Social! Therapy. She is an experienced ABA…read moretherapist, board certified behavior analyst and has experience working in Roseville area school districts. She specializes in children with autistic spectrum disorders, but works with students with other issues as well. My son has been seeing Cindy for the past three months and his growth in that time has been tremendous. She is thorough, detailed and keeps data on everything to help you see your child's growth and to know when new goals are needed. My favorite part about working with Cindy is how she consults with me as a parent. She helps to teach me the ways to help my son so that I can implement it between sessions. Obviously, if I'm implementing things at home with my son it will stick better than if he only gets it once or twice a week. This is a major difference between her model and some other therapists. I highly recommend Cindy. She is knowledgeable, personable and dedicated to helping children grow to their potential.

Statement to anyone considering enrolling their child at Loomis Gateway Academy…read more As a mother of a severely dyslexic child I feel a responsibility to share with our community that the director at Loomis Gateway Academy is falsely stating she is certified in Wilson Reading System. I have verified with Wilson Reading System (WRS) that the senior director is not certified in any WRS program. As parents of dyslexic children I find It incredibly disheartening that anyone would attempt to mislead our parents. The director, Tesa Briles is trying to pass off WRS course work as being certified in Wilson. As a certified Wilson instructor (Wilson Dysleixa Practitioner) and a mother of a dyslexic child I feel it is my moral obligation to advocate for the children and support the parents. Her statements are misleading and factually untrue. Parents who are planing on attending Loomis Gateway Academy now or in the future, please know that there are no certified Wilson teachers at Loomis Gateway Academy. Tesa Briles, or any teacher at Loomis Gateway Academy does not hold a certification in the Wilson Reading Program. You can contact Wilson Reading System at 18008998454 to verify that Tesa Briles is not a certified in any WRS program. When I started on this journey with my son six years ago I wouldn't have known the questions to ask. It's my hope that I can help educate parents and advocate for our children. It's hard enough finding the right help for our children without being lied to from the people we are entrusting to help our children. Please feel free to contact me through messenger or directly at Juliestarbird@gmail.com. Julie Starbird Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner

As an intuitive learner for reading I was not able to teach my son myself. I am disappointed that I did not move my son earlier as he was simply unable to learn in a traditional classroom. Children are treated respectfully and given individual attention needed. I appreciate the improvement to the science component of the education and the addition of art including technique.

I truly can't say enough positive things about the impact that PLC had on my son's education. He…read moreattended PLC from 3rd to 7th. Before finding this school, we tried a couple of other school settings that just weren't the right fit for his needs. From the moment he started here, everything felt different--in the best way. The level of care, attention, and dedication from the staff is outstanding. The daily check-ins gave my son the consistency and support he needed, and the communication with me as a parent was always clear, thoughtful, and reassuring. I always felt informed, included, and confident that he was in the best hands. Most importantly, my son achieved milestones here that I truly believe wouldn't have been possible anywhere else. The staff took the time to understand him as an individual and supported his unique needs in a way that helped him grow, both academically and personally. If you're looking for a school that genuinely cares and provides the extra attention children may need to thrive, I would highly recommend this one. It has made such a meaningful difference in our lives, and I'm incredibly grateful for everything they've done.

The staff genuinely care about the whole student, taking the time to understand each child and provide the support they need to succeed. They worked closely with our family, and I always felt heard and supported whenever questions or challenges came up. Because of that strong foundation, he was able to transition back to a traditional school setting and is now on track to graduate. We're incredibly grateful for the role this school played in his journey.
