Is by far the best company we have worked with. The BCBAs, Social Leaders, program supervisors and therapists are exceptional! They have social groups, which is a plus! They actually follow through with what is being set up, discussed, needs to be done, etc. We feel heard during the parent meetings and valued. The therapists seem well versed and adjust the sessions to the kids needs each day. The BCBA is part of sessions, which we have never seen before unless highly needed or requested. The whole team seems to be educated for the needs of my kids, not a cookie cutter program.

My son has been seeing Cindy for the past three months and his growth in that time has been tremendous. She is thorough, detailed and keeps data on everything to help you see your child's growth and to know when new goals are needed. My favorite part about working with Cindy is how she consults with me as a parent. She helps to teach me the ways to help my son so that I can implement it between sessions. Obviously, if I'm implementing things at home with my son it will stick better than if he only gets it once or twice a week. This is a major difference between her model and some other therapists. They are worth every cent of their fee. I have never met two people that cared so much about my sons success in school. They ask all the right questions and are really good at seeing what needs to happen in order for your child to receive the services they deserve and get the help they need in the school system. This portion of our public school system is absolutely broken. If you are not trained in special education, the process of working with the schools is so foreign, you will be lost and left scratching your head. The sad fact is, if your child has or needs an IEP, you need an advocate in my opinion. My son has had an IEP for years and could have been getting help all those years, but I was unaware of what is available and due to our children with special needs. I am so thankful I came across DAS.

Parent voices are not heard like they use to be. Legal deadlines are not followed for the IEP . Low level of social emotional support for students.

Statement to anyone considering enrolling their child at Loomis Gateway Academy…read more As a mother of a severely dyslexic child I feel a responsibility to share with our community that the director at Loomis Gateway Academy is falsely stating she is certified in Wilson Reading System. I have verified with Wilson Reading System (WRS) that the senior director is not certified in any WRS program. As parents of dyslexic children I find It incredibly disheartening that anyone would attempt to mislead our parents. The director, Tesa Briles is trying to pass off WRS course work as being certified in Wilson. As a certified Wilson instructor (Wilson Dysleixa Practitioner) and a mother of a dyslexic child I feel it is my moral obligation to advocate for the children and support the parents. Her statements are misleading and factually untrue. Parents who are planing on attending Loomis Gateway Academy now or in the future, please know that there are no certified Wilson teachers at Loomis Gateway Academy. Tesa Briles, or any teacher at Loomis Gateway Academy does not hold a certification in the Wilson Reading Program. As an intuitive learner for reading I was not able to teach my son myself. I am disappointed that I did not move my son earlier as he was simply unable to learn in a traditional classroom.
