My son has autism though, and so they said I needed an aide or they would not allow him to attend. So I went through hell to get the aide set up. It took weeks and hours and hours on the phone and filling out paperwork. And then I went to tour the two year old class with my son. I told them I wanted him to be with kiddos his own age to have the opportunities to learn the skills other two year olds were learning. And everything was fine, but when I was leaving after the tour they said they had decided it was a good idea to start my son in the younger classroom, which they said was 18-36 months. Even though he had a spot in the two year old class? But then when I asked for the pricing schedule for that class, it was listed as 12-24 months. My son is two and a half. So I called back and said why are you trying to put my two year old son in a class that's not for his age when you told me there is a spot in the two year old class? And they insisted there were two year olds in the class. But when I pushed to find out exactly how many, I found out they were actually moving all of the two year olds up to the two year old class right when my son would start, so he would not have any kids the same age in that class. And they had given my spot in the two year old class away to one of those kids. So now I no longer had the spot that existed for him anymore. As if life wasn't hard enough being a parent of an autistic child. It's hard as hell. And then you have to deal with people trying to deny your kid the same opportunities as other kids. My son is a sweet, gentle little two year old boy, no behavioral issues, loves being around other kids, and he was going to have an aide for the time he was there at their insistence. And he needs the opportunity to learn the same skills other kids learn in daycare. If you have an autistic child or know anyone who has an autistic child, think carefully about which businesses you want to support and which you don't.

I was so so so scared to put my son in daycare because I have never left his side since he was born! The first day I went there I was terrified to let him leave my sight but the previous teacher named Dominique in the baby class was the most gentlest soul ever. She brought me immediate comfort & reassured me that he's going to be okay and I can call anytime and ask how he's doing. They also sent pictures & updates throughout the day. There was also a previous teacher named Brooke. She adored my son and I can tell because my son loved being with her. Every time I came to pick him up they would be stuck to each other like glue it really was such an amazing thing to see. Dominique and Brooke were really great teachers I even saw them as family as time went on. Unfortunately they left but Brooke has watched my son outside of school too. There was a whole staff change and just as I felt 100% comfortable I had to readapt to the new staff. My son especially had to adapt. However a few teachers stayed that were with the first staff named Ms. Kam & Ms. Debbie. They are amazing!! I love the way I see them interact with my son & how my son responds to them! When the whole staff changed I was very glad to still see their faces! There's also one other teacher who also stayed and alternates sometimes in the ones class and she's the sweetest too! I am totally forgetting her name and I'm so sorry if you see this but you're amazing & so caring. Don't take offense! We literally talk all the time I'm just so bad with names lol. Thank you for being such a great teacher and caring for my son the way you do. The new staff I was so iffy at first because I had no clue what to expect. It felt as if the staff I was super comfortable with just got ripped apart and we were expected to just be okay and move on from that. I was pleasantly surprised. They really got ahold of the bearings quickly and over time I've built a relationship with the new staff! They're caring, kind, you can tell they're great people even outside of working. They answer any questions I ask. I don't feel worried when I drop my baby off & I know they're always setting up fun activities for everyone & even field trips for the older kids. As much as I miss the old staff I'm excited and thankful for the new staff. I'm glad they filled the missing spaces & appreciate how organized and compassionate they are. Can't wait to see how far this school goes! If you're looking around for a good daycare for your child this is the one. Thank you everyone!

Though I would rather give this establishment 1 star, I cannot due to the simple fact that I only…read morehave an issue with one staff member. On 10/7/21, my 9 year-old daughter came out fairly distraught. She brought it to my attention that the staff member, Jorge, threw a small bead from about 10' away at my daughters face. It hit roughly 1" from her left eyeball, which in turn left a welt/mark on her upper cheek. With the training and schooling child care providers receive, it is absolutely unacceptable for any adult/provider to throw, touch, flick, pinch, etc. to ANY child. I brought the incident up to Jorge - he was dismissive and said it was an "accident." Realistically, you cannot lob something from 10' away "accidentally" and leave a mark. I also spoke to Ms. Hill about the matter after asking who I could file a personal complaint with about Jorge. She specified herself as that person. I expressed my concerns and she was understanding, stating she would speak with him. I am also filing a complaint with CDSS about the incident because as stated above these staff members received training and schooling to earn these positions, licenses and certificates. Nowhere on page 11 of the Parent Handbook: Behavior Management & Discipline Policy (or any other page for that matter) does it state that the care provider is able to use any type of physical force whether that be any of the aforementioned methods. If you choose to take your school aged children here, be cautious about the individual Jorge. I'm a concerned father/parent that strives for the safety of not only my children, but all children alike. A daycare should be a safe place for all children, and a place that concerned parents trust. Once again, this is directed towards an individual and not the establishment as a whole.

My children both started as infants and stayed through preschool and kinderprep. The caring staff was friendly, knowledgeable and communicative. They truly showed genuine care and compassion for my kiddos! We always felt completely trusting in their abilities and caregiving decisions. Not only was the staff exceptional but the programs really taught social and developmental skills in a fun and effective way! We feel so lucky to have found Playology and will truly miss our time there.

Our children have…read morecycled through each room at Marconi Montessori and every single set of teachers has been absolutely incredible- they are kind and warm, focused on helping our children learn how to interact and grow together. The dedication toward developing the whole child is evident in interactions staff have with children. (Even in moments when I unexpectedly show up for a midday pickup- this is consistent.) Watching the teachers/staff interact with kids is a masterclass in raising tiny humans- it's honestly shaped me as a parent. I truly believe that my kids are better people because of their time spent at MM. I feel deep gratitude for the staff at this school and the community they've built. In my experience, the director bends over backward to meet the reasonable (and sometimes unreasonable) needs and concerns of families- I don't really know of anyone who feels otherwise... and I do a lot of chatting with parents at birthday parties. My belief is that preschool is about little ones exploring the world around them and learning to interact with others (which is a big enough job as it is) so my focus isn't on academics, but I know that's a big question people have: My 4 year old is going to be entering kindergarten extremely well prepared. She knows her letters and letter sounds and can sound out words, and is adding and subtracting at MM! She knows about music (calling out, "Those are drums!" "That was piano!"when we listen to songs) and excitedly tells me about the seeds they germinated in class and how flowers grow. My sense is that teachers aren't pushing kids past what they're ready for, and are instead focused on building a love for learning, but that hasn't resulted in less exposure to pre-k and kindergarten academic content. My only rec is to get on the waitlist early because it's a long one.
