We set up a day and time over the phone, and he showed up as expected. He gave me a quote over the phone after seeing some pictures I had sent him (which was a very reasonable charge). Once he arrived and looked at the tubs he stuck to his original quote without issue. He does his own work and has been doing it for 30 years. He also has the best warranty I heard of anywhere when I did my research so apparently he stands by his work!! Our neighbors spotted him leaving and asked us what we had done....so we had them come in and look and they were wowed too. They couldn't believe the difference between the re-finished one and our not-refinished one. As a side note: He also was very good with my 12 week old kitten who loved him apparently, and would not leave him alone while he was trying to work! He even made him a little ball with the leftover tape, which he still has and loves to chase. We will be having him back very soon to do my other tub!! Thank you Rob! See you again soon!! : )

Well, unfortunately I have been left with a sour taste in my mouth every time I shower or bathe my…read morenewborn son. This has led me to have a change of heart on my opinion and previous review of Rob. My main concern, other than the eye sore of the bubbling and chipping surfaces, is that my newborn son might attempt eating the polymer paint chips. I am sure that could cause some health issues. All I asked is that Rob honor the warranty he offered. It was a 10yr warranty. The bubbling I noticed only weeks after the job was done. Bubbles then turned into cracks and the cracks started to chip and peel off. Over the course of the last 3 years I have given him every opportunity and been extremely patient with him as he mentioned his wife had recently passed. We all have hardships and issues with our own health and that of our loved ones that we deal with on our journey through life. My reasonable hope was that he would come and remedy the situation as he promised. I even offered to pay more as I am sympathetic to the hardships COVID has caused many. I guess not. I was going to just leave my review but after reading that he blew off multiple others and possibly even changed his number I thought to revise my previous glowing recommendations of him in hopes to deter others from being negatively affected from his shabby work.

We were getting our carpets deep cleaned before welcoming our newborn and had some long term stains that were in one of the rooms from before we bought our house. Stanley Steamers came out multiple times and never able to get the stains out but David and his team did first time! He said that it could be more depending on how soiled the rugs were. He increased the price to a total of $500 and did a mediocre job at best. He never gave us a receipt listing the items or extras that he was charging for. In addition, he included a smaller carpet in the final price and left without cleaning it. We had to call him the next day to get that one done. The rugs are not evenly clean. He took advantage and scammed us. The first picture shows the dirty fringe after he cleaned. The second picture shows another side of the rug where we don't walk on, so that's how it should look if cleaned.

He was very professional and pleasant to communicate with-I wasn't worried about having my young kids around if I was going to speak to him due to use of profanity. 4. He cared! I explained what floors we had, our family and pet situation, and our budget. He showed me some options and gave me a few samples to take home. He even gave me the baseboard samples, as well. He came to our house a few days later to measure and see our space. Within a few days we had a complete quote. To cover all my bases, I did have the big box place send one of their people over to give me a quote. And they sent me 3 separate costs analyses and I had to calculate the total myself (labor, shopping list from the store, and separate quote for baseboards). Not a huge deal, but it made it hard to know exactly how much the project would cost. Once I did calculate it, it was no cheaper than the Tompkins quote. We went with Tompkins and I'm so glad we did! Things were ordered quickly, delivered on time and installed beautifully! We are so happy we went with Tompkins. You can try and shop around but I don't think you'll be the price or service!
