Some of the businesses here include Kohl's, Marshalls, Food Lion, The Zoo Health Club, Shoe Station, Jersey Mike's, Thailicious, Bagel Nation, Flying Biscuit, Baroni's Pizza, Hong Kong Chinese, and Rio Chico Mexican Restaurant. Like most shopping centers, Ashley Crossing has a nail salon, a hair salon, and an ABC/liquor store, and the Kohl's location now has a Sephora counter as well. During the holidays, a Christmas tree lot sets up near Chic-Fil-A, so while Chic-Fil-A traffic is always bad, it is even worse in late November and December. It can be tough making a left turn onto Magwood when exiting, but you can always make a right turn, then drive to Charlie Hall Blvd. and turn around. Or, if you live in one of the nearby neighborhoods or apartment complexes, there are sidewalks that make it easy to walk to these stores and restaurants.

They have a good selection of made in Charleston food items: hot sauce, jams, jellies, tea, salt, biscuit mix, cookies, honey, just to name a few. I found the prices to be very reasonable without the arduous drive through downtown to find street or paid for parking. They also have Charleston made tea towels, soaps, lotions, shirts, jewelry, and signage. I also found out they offer soap and candle classes in which you can make your own. I would recommend anyone looking for some great gifts for themselves or others, check this place out. While it may look tiny, they truly have amazing things here.

I love the convenience of this shopping center and especially enjoy shopping at Publix and eating at Red Orchids China Bistro (it's delicious!) The addition of the new Starbucks is also a huge step in the right direction for this center. Here's hoping that they can attract more upscale merchants. I'd love to see a HomeGoods, ULTA Beauty, McAlister's Deli, etc.
