Needed 2 front seats repaired on my 2017 Outback . The vinyl was shredding and cracking. The Subaru dealership quoted me $2,700.00 for parts and labor and the person at the dealership said I should take it to an auto upholstery specialist instead of all that money. I had an extremely frustrating experience working with Jesus. I needed to upholster my car as the pillars and the headliners were sagging. I brought the car into Jesus on Monday and he told me it will be done Wednesday. He texts me to come in to the shop by 4:30 PM, at which point he was still working on the car. It took him another 2 hours to get the job done while I waited for him in the parking lot. I was somewhat disappointed because after the job was done, I can hear a lot more wind noises coming from the sunroof, but that could just be the age of the car rubber. He was forefront that he broke one of the pillar trim pieces and said he would replace it for me. He initially told me to come in next Friday, at which point I called in, and was told that his guy fucked up and did not ordered the part. He told me to come in next Thursday. I call Thursday to find out that the parts are not here and he says the parts will be here by Saturday and that he will be in the shop. On behold, it's Saturday, and I call him to see what time I can pick up the parts and he will not pick up my call or texts. Why even tell me to come in on Saturday if you are not even going to respond to me? At this point, I can only say I am extremely disappointed by the service. I texted to set up an appointment about a week in advance. He confirmed the day before and dropped the car off at 8:30. He said it would be done at noon, showed up at 2:30, and hadn't started. I met Jesus of Beeline Upholstery shop on a whim and my experience was outstanding! I had taken my wife's 2008 Nissan 350 Z Grand Touring model to at least seven other shops in the Bay Area, and they all shut me down in one way or another, with one excuse after another: they didn't have the right scanner to get the computer codes... they thought the problem was electrical... they didn't have the correct tools to check for a wiring problem or other malfunction... they didn't think they could get the material for the new top... they didn't know if the top needed new bows... I felt hopeless when I went to Beeline Upholstery, but not only did he say he could fix it , he immediately came outside with tools and had the needed scanner, so he began working on the switches. We had thought there was a short somewhere because it was working intermittently, but he got it working by adjusting the straps that had lost tension to operate the top. He ordered the new top, and now that it has been installed, we couldn't be happier! Jesus runs an honest shop. He is "old school" which is so rare to find today, especially when dealing with cars. He saved us thousands of dollars from what other shops had quoted, even though they never tried to work on it.
