I have heard Lauren (the owner) say…read moresome very questionable things about gender/race, and I've even had her tell me how bad she thinks some of her instructors and students are.. like she actually had the audacity to talk crap on her employees/students to another student. It was a major turn off that ultimately had me coming to the studio less and less until a bunch of their teachers who had been there for years quit due to unethical business practice and seeing the behavior that Lauren exhibited. She doesn't understand the difference between confidence and egotistical. Theres a reason so many teachers and students left this studio last year. I would stay far away from this place and give your money to people who deserve it.

She was so charming and friendly and really made everyone comfortable. She made the class!!! She was a wonderful teacher who made learning easy and enjoyable. I would love to come back but it is quite expensive. Probably good for a treat! The overall studio is very pretty and aesthetic. The aerial room was a bit tight but did the job! Loved the openness of everything. The entrance and signing into the class was a bit messy and hectic, the entrance was under construction and the man at the front handing out the waivers and such seemed a bit overwhelmed. Didn't feel super welcoming. Streamlining and organizing this section would def help put clients more at ease since I was starting to doubt the class in the beginning.-BE SURE TO BRING A YOGA MAT! Otherwise you'll have to pay $4 to rent one. -The overall class was 10 minutes of warmup, 30 min lesson, and then 10 minutes of free time to record and practice what you just learned. -The AERIAL DANCE INTRO CLASS was a great class for those who have never done aerial or those who haven't done it in years. We learned 3-4 positions. - Paid street parking or limited lot parking ( where ABOUT TIME CAFE is , free during the day) - bathroom available - Locker room on the side - They have two cute dogs in the studio - Recording isn't allowed till the end.

First of all, i booked through class pass. The minute I walked in a man told me that the class was…read morecanceled and then he made me sign a waiver, and then they squeezed me in the class, but why even ruined the vibe by saying the classes is canceled and it doesn't make much sense I guess they just cancel classes if their members book all the spots? It doesn't really make sense but OK, already vibe ruined but i took the aerial 1 class. The man followed me around asking where i got my yoga mat and even when i was leaving asked if i am taking my yoga mat and where it is etc- very annoying, bizarre and frankly off putting as hell. he was anything but welcoming so i suggest you remove him from whatever he's doing in the front. never want to come back. apparently you have to pay for rental yoga mat. But even before I get to the class, the entry entryway and the vibe of the whole place is off because it's so worn out. i'm scared the fabric will fall off the hook and it's extremely smelly and overall unstable and worn out looking- not sure if i can trust the hanging to support me but that's the attorney in me talking. everything i see seems like a liability, especially their old hooks and the way the instructor walks around with a huge ladder in a crowded class. Next the class itself- instructor spent majority of the time making us stretch and adjusting our fabric. it was such a waste of time. don't do it if you're trying to get a workout in.

I took two pole classes at Sabbath Circle and had an amazing time! The instructors were welcoming,…read moresupportive, and great at offering modifications for different skill levels. I've been doing pole on and off for years, and this was such a refreshing environment to restart my pole journey. I highly recommend Sabbath Circle to anyone looking for a fun, supportive, and judgment-free studio!

I spoke with the owner in regard to the pacing of the class and how it did not leave enough time…read morerealistically for questions as well as how I was unable to learn because of the pace and jammed content into one routine (beginners 1/2 class mind you). Shonda (the instructor) did offer opportunities for questions, BUT although some of us were confused, if we stopped to ask questions every time we learned something new, realistically we wouldn't have gotten through the routine or the rest of the routine was going to be taught faster so that we would be able to get through it. I realize I am not the only student in the room so it's not fair of me to ask questions all throughout because that hinders everyone's experience and ability to learn the entire dance. Just being mindful. The owner tried giving me an emotional lesson that I should not fear to ask questions... totally wasn't hearing the constructive criticism and was blaming it on my inability to ask questions apparently. I'm open to trying a new instructor but have little hope in this establishment if that also does not go well.

As far as the training goes it's exactly what I was looking for, progressive calisthenics, and functional strength training. Basically the kind of training that not only makes you look fit, but also makes you strong. Seeing joe move is incredibly motivating for me, his combined agility and strength is exactly what I want for myself, I'm not interested in being swollen and immobile like a bodybuilder. I asked joe what he was into, and he told me parkour, and acrobatics, and then he rocked out an awesome handstand. Needless to say I'm totally psyched at the potential of learning these skills from him, and I plan on mastering the handstand myself! Definitely have Joseph teach you his off-the-wall flip! If you don't get it the first time, it will be at the least great inspiration. And the acroyoga is so much fun!

One of the very few professional stretching/contortion classes available in the LA area. If you want to get more flexible, these instructors know how to safely build up those muscles so that you can actively and correctly increase your body's mobility and range of movement. The best part is that you don't have to start off being flexible at all. They work with your body to adjust and modify exercises so that you're still working out the intended muscle group. You never need to bring your own mat, resistance bands, nor yoga strap because they provide everything for you. Their equipment is always clean because they provide spray bottles and handcloths for you to wipe everything down at the end. Even though their physical location is temporarily closed due to the "Safer at Home" order, they're still streaming online group classes through Zoom for only $8.99! I've been taking their "Intro to Contortion" and "Strength and Conditioning" classes to (at least marginally) maintain my flexibility and strength for aerial silks. When the studio opens back up again, make sure to get their half off of four classes with their new-student deal!
