I was in the mood for some bbq. But wanted to stay healthy. So we opted for the turkey and chicken pit sandwiches. The onion rings were good. As well as the coleslaw. I would definitely get the turkey again no doubt. I thought the girl at the cashier was a little standoffish. She didn't greet me upon entering. She also gave me the wrong order. Now we placed this online and pre-paid. How about asking people names before giving away their food. I returned the bag back to her and told her that's not my name. Wowww all she had to do was ask my name. Other than that the food I purchased was good. So 3.5 ratings for the food. Not for the customer service. Maybe it wasn't a good day for her. Came back for another try. This time I ordered the beefalo sampler a pit turkey sandwich, ribs, and a breast and a wing. That sandwich was everything! They had an assortment of toppings to add. I get that sandwich again for sure. The ribs were kinda sweet and very fast however they were on the tough side. I'm used to fall off the bone ribs personally. The chicken could use a bit more cooking as the skin seemed a bit flabby for my taste I prefer a more crispy skin on my chicken. I popped it in the oven when I got home and that was some good doggone smoked bbq chicken. The staff was extremely friendly they worked fast and even gave suggestions. The bbq sauces I had were the regular and obey sauce. Both were amazing on my chicken. The store had a few seats to eat in it's a small space but it's gets the job done. Overall I'll give that platter a 7.5/10, mainly because those ribs were too tough. But everything had a great taste toast to it. The star of the show for me was the pit turkey. And for bbq the prices were amazing. Getting affordable bbq/pit sandwiches are not an easy task. I'm coming back again soon. read more

A coworker told me about this place so I had to try it. Ordered a rare pit beef sandwich with horseradish and onions. Did not get a chance to eat it right away but the sandwich was still very tasty and the bun held up well from the juices. Believe me I will be going back and next time I hope to get a little better service. The four stars is because the guy that waited on me was all business. I should say that I've had Baltimore pit beef a few times over the years and I've never been impressed with it, I suppose an effect of living many years in the south where you can get really good barbecue everywhere. But I was in this neighborhood and decided to give it another try. The guy taking my order was distinctly unhelpful. And the beef had a strong chemical sort of flavor to it, I guess maybe lighter fluid? Sandwich was very light on the tiger sauce, which didn't have very much horseradish flavor in any case. Service and help were amazing. They did a 600-person catering event with ease. I would highly recommend this catering company to anyone and would use them again! Been meaning to try this place for years. Wasn't worth the wait. For starters, my oder took longer than estimated. I'm not opposed to a whole in a wall place but this place is dingy. Rat trap next to the table I was sitting at. The food was decently tender but the meat was bland and flavorless. Not even a hint of seasoning, and I got every animal on the farm. 10/10 would recommend this place. Was Craving something smoked for Lunch and this place showed up on yelp. Got there and was immediately hit in the face with the incredible aromas of Smokey Oak. Was greeted and chatted with the staff a bit, super friendly people and helped recommend what to get. I got the pit beef sandwich with some onions and tiger sauce. Incredible. They open up the smoker right in front of you pull out the meat and slice it. I also got a quarter smoked chicken, a quarter rack of ribs and some beans in a platter that all came out to $22 for all of that! Incredible bang for buck as well as taste. I had a birthday party for 4 different ages with 30 guests. Andrea showed up exactly when she said she would. She laid out the Ultimate BBQ items in a way that made the flow of the party perfect. We also had fresh fruit, cheese and crackers, as well as a veggie tray. I received MANY compliments on my choices. The Mac and Cheese, of which there was a substantial amount, flew off the table. Beefalo Bob's been on my list for what seems like ages! I finallllly got to check it out with the bf, and the food did NOT disappoint. Here's what we got: Dinner platter ($13.49): a reg sandwich (pit turkey) + two sides. We got their boardwalk style fries & collard greens. And for my sammie, I got my pit turkey with spicy BBQ sauce! Next time, I'm definitely going to add LTO as well. Everything was fantastic, and this may have been one of the best turkey sandwiches I've ever had. 10/10 recommend. Sides were fire, too. Pit Beef Sandwich (reg for $9.49): I got mine with onions, s&p, and tiger sauce. I got my meat rare, but you can get whatever temp you'd like. This was really solid, but I enjoyed the turkey more. I was SHOOKETH by how much meat they gave! They're very heavy-handed so expect serious bang for your buck. As for dine-in, they have a few tables inside, but this is def more of a carryout spot (hence the name ). PS. If you like spicy, ask for a side of their inferno sauce. The service was very polite and timely and the store was clean. The prices are very reasonable and that's a huge plus for BBQ fans like myself. I ordered off DoorDash on my way home and came into the restaurant shortly after placing my order. The two ladies at the register were very kind and friendly but the man that is at the grill/making sandwiches was very rude and said multiple times I was too early. I wasn't demanding on my order. I was quietly waiting on my phone. The man continued to loudly complain I was early-gaining the attention of the customers as well. Not only was it rude but also humiliating as customers and the cashiers seemed to be uncomfortable as well. I reached out to BB because my cousin uses them all the time. From start to finish they were excellent to work with. The estimate was clear and concise so that I understood exactly what they were providing. Once I placed my deposit about a week before the event they reached out to see if my numbers changed. On the day of the event I call to see if I could push up the delivery time due to the impending rain. They arrived 1.5 hours early!! So happy that they were flexible. The pit beef sandwich IS Maryland-style BBQ. My pit beef sandwich was a huge miss. It wasn't the portion, of which this has to be one the largest pit beef sandwiches I have purchased. It was the overpowering of the smoke flavor. Their cooking equipment is different than the others as their pit has a lid. I watched them close the lid between carvings. With that, I can only imagine that drives more smoky flavor into the beef. My go-to is medium rare w/onion and tiger sauce. The beef was medium and the smoke flavor was so overpowering that I could not taste the beef or the toppings. Perhaps if it were a true medium-rare, there would have been less smoke flavor. read more

We used Beefalo Bob's for a backyard Bar Mitzvah party! They definitely exceeded my expectations! So much better than pre-made trays!!! We had a very non traditional casual Bar Mitzvah pool party in our backyard and they were very accommodating and I was able to offer the classy ambiance that I still wanted w/passed appetizers and lots of menu options. I wasn't able to make it in to try the food ahead of time and just trusted who referred us. I've included a picture of the menu we put together. I'm not a big foodie myself but when I tasted the pit beef and pit turkey I was completely caught off guard how good it tasted!! The smoky flavor was a real treat and definitely had my guests talking! I'm so glad I added in the ocean fries (french fries) which they brought a fryer and made onsite. I've passed Beefalo Bob's many times, and decided to give it a try today. I really had high hopes because it sounds and smelled delicious-- but unfortunately it did not live up to my dreams. I got the pit beef sandwich with ocean fries and Mac and cheese. The sandwich looked promising but lacked flavor, and the bottom bun was disintegrating and slimy-- turning my sandwich into a meat salad. The fries were soggy and cold like they had been sitting for a while. I think this place has a lot of potential, but definitely wasn't $15 for a sandwich and sides material this visit. read more
