Unfortunately they didn't have any scraps for me to buy for my Bloodhound. After buying 40$ worth of burger patty I found out they use their scraps to make these patties so thats why I couldn't buy any scraps. I honestly wanted beef only patties and will make sure I request that the next time I go in. They do have parking out front not sure if they have public parking in the back. I didn't see any restrooms. What I did see was a clean well kept shop with two fantastic individuals running the place. They were forthcoming with every question I asked and gave me other options if I was not satisfied with what they sold me. I will be going back in the future and if their is public parking out back ill update my review. Until then couldn't be any happier with this store.

I assumed the best cuts had sold by the time we got there, but there were still some enticing options. The gentleman who assisted chose our cuts for us (we weren't given the option to choose), and didn't ask what size cuts we were looking for (which is why we ended up with 2 filets - both were very small). The ribeye was on the thinner side with very little marbling and was pre-packaged on styrofoam, which was unusual I thought (used to butcher paper, maybe just me - not a huge deal just seemed like something a small grocery store would do). Overall, not the greatest butcher I've been to, but certainly not the worst either. I'll give them another try and update, maybe just an off day.

My favorite products that they produce are pepper stick and pepper bologna. I'm not a fan of sweet Pennsylvania baloney and this pepper stick/pepper baloney is absolutely delicious. It's about as spicy as a Slim Jim, but not all greasy and full of fat. I've never had a deer processed here, but it is evident that they do a very good volume of total Deer Processing. What I do is bring in venison, in this year 25 pounds, and they convert it into pepper stick both in the bologna form and in the stick form. There is a nice large refrigerated display case right inside the entrance door featuring beef, pork, chicken, cheese, sauerkraut, and other products that they produce. I especially enjoy the beef jerky from this selection. I can recommend this Butcher Shop/Deer Processing business with no reservations.

If you want to experience the true heart and soul of York's food culture, Friday is the only day…read morethat matters, and New Eastern Market on Memory Lane is exactly where you need to be. A Slice of York History This isn't just a place to shop; it's a living piece of local history. While the original market company dates all the way back to the 1880s on East Market Street, the "New" Eastern Market opened its current doors on Memory Lane in 1955 after a fire destroyed their previous temporary home at the White Rose Arena. Walking down the aisles, you can feel that multi-generational legacy--many of the shareholders and vendors running the stands today are direct descendants of the families who started it all back in '55. Incredible Vendor Variety The selection here is unmatched. It's an incredible mix of local mainstays, from the incredible smoked meats at S. Clyde Weaver and Godfrey Bros. to fresh, vibrant hauls at Hoober Produce. You can pick up hand-rolled Aunt Lydia's soft pretzels, stock up on Fitzkee's candies, grab local spirits from Old Republic Distillery, or snag amazing baked goods to take home. Unbeatable Market Eats While it's a great place to stock the fridge, the ready-to-eat food stalls are the real star of the show. You absolutely cannot leave without hitting these spots: Jimmy C's (the diner): For the ultimate classic diner experience, pull up a stool at Jimmy C's. It's the perfect place to kick off your Friday morning or grab a hearty lunch. They serve up comforting breakfast staples and great coffee, but they are legendary for their weekly specials--especially the comforting PA Dutch classics. You absolutely have to try their famous baked chicken pie and their thick, comforting chicken pot pie with noodles. It is pure comfort food with that fast, friendly, quintessential market-counter energy. Markethouse Barbeque & Fried Chicken: If you are looking for top-tier to-go comfort food, you have to hit these stands. The Markethouse Fried Chicken is spectacular--shattering, crispy skin on the outside, incredibly juicy on the inside, and seasoned perfectly. Pair it with the smoky, tender, slow-cooked goodness from Markethouse Barbeque, and you have the absolute best takeout feast in town. Whether you're doing your weekly grocery shopping or just eating your way through the aisles, New Eastern Market is a Friday tradition that never misses.

I highly reccomend the chicken. They also have a buffalo wing cheese which I can never get enough of. They also have a nice bakery with an assortment of pies and sweets. There are a few downsides. It is a small store. Some people could probably do most of their shopping here, but obviously choices can be limited. Due to being a small family owned grocery store, the hours are also somewhat limited. Dont expect to make a late night emergency trip here for anything. All in all, I think its worth a stop if passing by just to check out the deli counter, but at the same time I would say no reason to go out of your way.

They assured me that is not the way they do business, and they will not have their employees treating any of their customers the way I was treated. Thank you, Greg, and Betti Saubels Literally in 2022 In East York County at sublet's Markets 3611 St. York PA 17402. I was refused service. I was going home from work, stopped in with my grandson to get something quick for dinner. I went to the deli the lady working behind the counter had her back turned to me. When I walked up, she turned around to wait on me because she could not see who she was waiting on. she literally looks me in my face and turned her back. When she did that, I started timing her to see when she would turn back around and wait on me. There was a very kind older gentleman working with her and told her she had a customer, he then asked me if I needed any cold cuts and I told him no thank you I was only there for cheese. I waited for seven minutes before another white customer came behind me and she instantly stopped what she was doing to wait on him. Her coworker told her to wait on me first because I've been waiting for a while. she totally ignored him and continued to wait on the white gentleman that came behind me. He refused her service and told her I was waiting there way before him. I reported this to the manager directly in front of the lady who refused me service. The only thing he said was he would talk to her, no apology or sense of urgency to remove her before she treated the next black customer with such ignorance and hatred. Do we as black people still have to deal with the ugly face of racism just trying to get cheese?
