My favorite products that they produce are pepper stick and pepper bologna. I'm not a fan of sweet Pennsylvania baloney and this pepper stick/pepper baloney is absolutely delicious. It's about as spicy as a Slim Jim, but not all greasy and full of fat. I've never had a deer processed here, but it is evident that they do a very good volume of total Deer Processing. What I do is bring in venison, in this year 25 pounds, and they convert it into pepper stick both in the bologna form and in the stick form. There is a nice large refrigerated display case right inside the entrance door featuring beef, pork, chicken, cheese, sauerkraut, and other products that they produce. This past Friday I took a vacation day to go to a grand opening in York which afforded me the opportunity to finally check them out. First impressions were it's much larger than how it looks from the street. I was very impressed. It's well lit and has tons of vendors, mostly featuring fresh and prepared foods but there were a few stands with other offerings. A grannie stand featuring crocheted and hand made items had cute inventory that was very affordable. I bought two hand made fancy ribbon hair barrettes for my grands at $1.75 that would easily sell on Etsy for over $5 each! Another vendor sold essential oils, spice blends, and homeopathic remedies. Both wonderful vendors however food is the star of the show. DO COME HUNGRY! Walk around first to check out everything before you make your selection - which will be very difficult. Plan on taking some goodies home. I bought food from several stands since I couldn't decide. The pasta salad stand is not to be missed! If you see something that intrigues you feel free to ask for a sample. Most are happy to accommodate. Some things to know: Bring cash, not all vendors take plastic. If shopping for produce bring a list - it's easy to get distracted by the colorful varieties they offer. Be open to trying something new! Only open Friday till 6 pm, although most of the vendors I spoke with said they closed around 4 pm Parking is a mess (more on that below) Some things that prevented me from giving them 5 stars: The limited hours and the fact that some vendors close before the closing time. This is definitely a negative as myself personally will never be able to visit unless I take off work. At the least they should follow the lead of similar markets like Roots and Green Dragon and stay open till 9 pm to attract the folks that work 9-5. Parking: it was here, there, and everywhere. Very tight and hard to secure. I had to drive around until someone left to claim their spot. Getting out was problematic as many didn't adhere to the directional markers and were going the wrong way making for a tighter squeeze. If you're fortunate enough to have off on a Friday they're worth a visit.

They assured me that is not the way they do business, and they will not have their employees treating any of their customers the way I was treated. I was going home from work, stopped in with my grandson to get something quick for dinner. I went to the deli the lady working behind the counter had her back turned to me. When I walked up, she turned around to wait on me because she could not see who she was waiting on. she literally looks me in my face and turned her back. When she did that, I started timing her to see when she would turn back around and wait on me. There was a very kind older gentleman working with her and told her she had a customer, he then asked me if I needed any cold cuts and I told him no thank you I was only there for cheese. I waited for seven minutes before another white customer came behind me and she instantly stopped what she was doing to wait on him. Her coworker told her to wait on me first because I've been waiting for a while. she totally ignored him and continued to wait on the white gentleman that came behind me. He refused her service and told her I was waiting there way before him. I reported this to the manager directly in front of the lady who refused me service. The only thing he said was he would talk to her, no apology or sense of urgency to remove her before she treated the next black customer with such ignorance and hatred. Do we as black people still have to deal with the ugly face of racism just trying to get cheese?
