I always feel bad posting reviews for bakeries because I'm not big on sweets. But nevertheless,…read morehere is my review of the place and the cream puff. The place is clean, cute and nicely decorated with some fun stuff for kids to play. There is plenty of parking right outside and the lady in the store was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there weren't many thing on display, which, to me, is a part of the fun of visiting bakeries. Cream puff was nice and big and heavy! LOVED the outside crust-flavorful, crunchy, airy and yum! The custard wasn't too sweet and you can taste the good egg flavor. It was really good and I would buy it again, though I wish there was a bit less custard. I had to leave some over because it was too much. However, maybe I felt that it was too much because I'm not a big dessert person. You might find it a balanced ratio, but either way, worth the try!

They were very accommodating over the phone and the cake was picked up at the appointed time which was terrific. Unfortunately I was very disappointed in the product. The appearance and taste of it was very amateurish, frankly I could've done better myself and I was actually surprised that a professional would have allowed it to leave the bakery. I will return and try their pies and other products before I completely write them off, but would never order another cake from them.

Apparently the inside hasn't changed much in over 50 years, per my husband's aunt. We only came here for ice cream so I can't speak much for the rest of the food and offerings. The ice cream portions are LARGE! I got one scoop, split between 2 different flavors and I barely finished it. Their ice cream selection has a lot of options and definitely be aware it will give you a sugar rush! They offer classic flavors and have rotating seasonal flavors. When we were there, coffee ice cream, my favorite, was on their rotating seasonal flavors. They also had some holiday seasonal flavors, like egg nog and pumpkin pie, since we were visiting around Thanksgiving time. I'd recommend checking their website if you want to know which seasonal flavors are in rotation. The storefront was decorated for Christmas and had a fun display of the town and inside reminds me of Happy Days. Service was relatively quick, and luckily only a few folks inside when we were there; not sure how it is when it's packed. If you like classic diner style vibes and ice cream, I'd recommend you try this place out!

I want to like this bakery so much, but twice it has fallen very short. Why?…read more I'd read a review about cakes--this must have been a comment about custom cakes because there were no cakes, cupcakes or anything like that there In fact, their total inventory included a few donuts, scones and cookies. I bought a few of each and none tasted particularly fresh (my visits have been in the afternoon) The second time the person at the counter was super friendly, so this is a plus. I do not believe I've met the owner. I'd be hard pressed to go back--just nothing really here to buy.

I went there yesterday and missed it and then went there again this morning and missed it again. Lol. The sign is small and it is in a lot with other businesses. They have coffee and various specialty drinks. They make custom cakes, cupcakes, and then have an assortment of pastries. I believe each week she has a different assortment of pastries available. I ordered a variety of donuts, chocolate pecan scones, a monster cookie, and she had two different kinds of cinnamon rolls. The monster cookie was delicious (there was only one left when I was there unfortunately). The chocolate pecan scones were awesome! There was an iced cinnamon roll and a maple icing cinnamon roll. I LOVED both the cinnamon rolls. They were both very soft and just right. I'm not a huge donut person but the donuts were very good! Stop and try this place!

BF and I were trying to do everything Amish and local for our Valentine's weekend in Dresden, OH…read moreand we picked this place based on their really nice website. Gotta say, the website was much more impressive than the actual place. This wasn't too far of a drive from Dresden Inn but coming back, we got turned around because of the lack of lights, signage and skinny roads. They have plenty of parking and the string of lights outside was cute. I asked the waitress TWO times whether the sweet potato fries for the sandwich entree was extra and she confirmed TWICE that it was not an extra cost. Welp, upon paying, guess what? It was $4 extra! Just look at my picture to see that like 12 skinny AF fries are NOT worth the extra charge! Their house chips were great. I ordered the brie & jam sandwich and it was filling and delicious. I also ordered a crispy chicken salad and was pretty disappointed at the quality. I abhor cheese shavings on salad (they don't belong on salads!) and there was just mounds of very processed looking cheese. There was not enough chicken pieces for the price, too many croutons, no onion or enough tomato; just cheap lettuce. They don't serve regular glasses of water here. It was all crushed ice! We suspected they were just pre-wine slushies! This was really odd. There's not real wait service but since we sat upstairs, people needed to bring stuff up so I did tip a usual amount. I wanted to experience more of a country, made from scratch type of setting so was not too happy with the very Chilis/Applebee quality and presentation of their food.

When I arrived, they were out of nearly a dozen wines--never a good start at a winery. Service felt impersonal and cafeteria-style: you circle your selections, and that's about it. There was little to no description or engagement about the wines themselves, which all tasted fairly ordinary and forgettable. Adding to the disappointment, the main entrance featured a strip of fly tape covered in dead flies--something I've never encountered at a food or drink establishment, and frankly, not the best first impression. There's definite potential here, but at the moment, the experience feels unpolished and uninspired. I genuinely hope they improve, but for now, I can't recommend a visit.
