The place is clean, cute and nicely decorated with some fun stuff for kids to play. There is plenty of parking right outside and the lady in the store was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there weren't many thing on display, which, to me, is a part of the fun of visiting bakeries. Cream puff was nice and big and heavy! LOVED the outside crust-flavorful, crunchy, airy and yum! The custard wasn't too sweet and you can taste the good egg flavor. It was really good and I would buy it again, though I wish there was a bit less custard. I had to leave some over because it was too much. However, maybe I felt that it was too much because I'm not a big dessert person. You might find it a balanced ratio, but either way, worth the try!

They were very accommodating over the phone and the cake was picked up at the appointed time which was terrific. Unfortunately I was very disappointed in the product. The appearance and taste of it was very amateurish, frankly I could've done better myself and I was actually surprised that a professional would have allowed it to leave the bakery. I will return and try their pies and other products before I completely write them off, but would never order another cake from them.

We were thinking of just getting something standard from Walmart, Kroger or giant eagle but I found this place online & figured we would go check it out because we were right down the road. We almost didn't make it in because it's hard to find. We drove right past it in the plaza because there really isn't a sign up but right when we were about to leave I spotted it & am so glad that I did! It's very clean & nice inside! They had full cases of lovely looking treats! The lady that helped us was very patient, which was amazing because we were VERY undecided about what we wanted. She was also very accommodating. The cake we chose was already decorated for Halloween & she moved some things around for us & turned it into the perfect birthday cake! We also got some cupcakes which were soooooo good! Unfortunately some of them didn't even make it to the party Most of them also aren't pictured here because the kids got a little over excited about them before I could even take a picture. Highly recommend this place!

I spit the bite out into the bag and deposited the dozen in my trash as I went in my house to find another treat to take to my meeting. I'll never go back.

I want to like this bakery so much, but twice it has fallen very short. Why?…read more I'd read a review about cakes--this must have been a comment about custom cakes because there were no cakes, cupcakes or anything like that there In fact, their total inventory included a few donuts, scones and cookies. I do not believe I've met the owner. I'd be hard pressed to go back--just nothing really here to buy.

I believe each week she has a different assortment of pastries available. I ordered a variety of donuts, chocolate pecan scones, a monster cookie, and she had two different kinds of cinnamon rolls. The monster cookie was delicious (there was only one left when I was there unfortunately). The chocolate pecan scones were awesome! There was an iced cinnamon roll and a maple icing cinnamon roll. Coming back for a second visit over Memorial Day weekend honestly confirmed everything I thought…read morethe first time around. What started in January as a random stop traveling back from Florida has quickly turned into one of those places that feels impossible to pass up when we are anywhere nearby. This place was busy all afternoon, and honestly, I think that says everything about what Killing Tree has built out there. Great wine, great food, live music, a beautiful property, and a crowd that genuinely seemed happy to be there. It feels less like a winery and more like a community gathering spot. Shannon took care of us this visit and was fantastic from beginning to end. The fact that she remembered me from months ago completely caught me off guard and immediately made us feel welcomed back. That kind of personal touch matters and you can tell the staff truly cares about the experience people are having. The pizza was outstanding, the BLT with turkey added on was piled high, and somehow that bottle of Gosh Dang disappeared way too fast sitting out there in the sunshine. There is just something special about this place. Relaxed, welcoming, beautiful, and incredibly easy to lose track of time at. Already looking forward to trip number three.

Gotta say, the website was much more impressive than the actual place. This wasn't too far of a drive from Dresden Inn but coming back, we got turned around because of the lack of lights, signage and skinny roads. They have plenty of parking and the string of lights outside was cute. I asked the waitress TWO times whether the sweet potato fries for the sandwich entree was extra and she confirmed TWICE that it was not an extra cost. Welp, upon paying, guess what? It was $4 extra! Just look at my picture to see that like 12 skinny AF fries are NOT worth the extra charge! Their house chips were great. I ordered the brie & jam sandwich and it was filling and delicious. I also ordered a crispy chicken salad and was pretty disappointed at the quality. I abhor cheese shavings on salad (they don't belong on salads!) and there was just mounds of very processed looking cheese. There was not enough chicken pieces for the price, too many croutons, no onion or enough tomato; just cheap lettuce. They don't serve regular glasses of water here. It was all crushed ice! We suspected they were just pre-wine slushies! This was really odd. There's not real wait service but since we sat upstairs, people needed to bring stuff up so I did tip a usual amount. I wanted to experience more of a country, made from scratch type of setting so was not too happy with the very Chilis/Applebee quality and presentation of their food.
