0 stars!! Do not bring your animals here. The staff does not know what they are doing, and the vets have zero empathy. I brought my animals here for years because I didn't want to deal with the hassle of transitioning facilities. However, they made constant mistakes with their medical history, so I had to keep my own notes to ensure their records were accurate. My final straw with this facility was when I had my animal scheduled for an Felv vaccine, but they had her down for an HCP vaccine when she had just got hers done a few months prior. Had I not kept my own notes and corrected the staff, they would have given her the wrong vaccine. Less than a week after I finally decided to discharge my animals, my poor cat was brutally attacked by another cat, and I had to take her in to to the ER all night ,she had puncture wounds and lacerations all over her body At that point, I didn't have another facility lined up. You would think that an ethical veterinary facility would prioritize the health and safety of animals and show some empathy, especially after my cat had been a patient there for several years. I needed to bring her in for a follow-up a few days after her ER visit, but Dr torrez would not see her. The manager Amanda made it pretty clear on the phone, She said, "I have to see if they are willing to see her after I decided to part ways." Her tone was harsh and and they did not have any regard for my poor cats health. In my head I'm thinking these people wont even check on my cat, in obviously an emergency situatuion that's Nobody anticipated??? I found their lack of concern for my cats well-being to be disturbing, disheartening, and disgusting. They clearly do not care about animals here or priotize there health and safety. Additionally, a close friend had to put her cat down at this facility, and Dr Reinap showed ZERO empathy over the situation. Don't waste your time here; it's the worst experience I've had with a vet. read more

Dr Reinap at Bee Cave Vet clinic came to our rescue when my 5 yr old Goldendoodle suddenly went berserk at our house. The dog couldn't walk and was convulsing and we raced him to the clinic I called their emergency line. Dr Reinap and his assistant were waiting for us and sprung into action. His fever was very high, around 107. Dr Reinap had him in cold water to take down his fever. He called the nearby West Austin Vet hospital and raced him over there. The combination of Dr Reinap quick actions and the West Austin vet hospital saved our dog! Thank you Dr Reinap! read more

Great folks here. We brought our puppy in to be spayed. Everything went great. To be honest, we were very nervous about our puppy going through the procedure. We read up on everything and generally knew what to expect, but were still anxious. BCVC was very reassuring. We had a pre-exam where they did a review and health check prior to the surgery. When we dropped her off, the lady working the front desk even asked if she should walk or carry our puppy into the back. Wow. Simple touch, but meant a lot to us. We waited for an update and the Veterinarian Doctor called us to tell us that everything went well and to arrange a pick up time. When we got there, they put us in a waiting room. The assistant walked us through the medicine, what to do and don't and how to take care of our baby. The doctor was great and showed us what he did and explained everything to us. Our little baby came out a bit groggy, but lit up the moment she saw us. The cone of shame was on and we understand it's purpose now (don't lick the surgery area). We are very appreciative of BCVC and use them as our regular vet. Highly recommend them. Great hours as they open early in the day. Our puppy is part of the family, so we want the best we can for her. read more

I'll try to keep this review as short as possible... I've given this clinic chance after chance and have ultimately been let down. Red flag number 1. My dog (55lbs vizsla mix) got a sore on her tail that kept reopening and the male doctor suggested that I amputate her tail. I left in tears for my poor baby. I brought her back in at the one week follow up to the female doctor rolled her eyes (at the other doctors advise) and say no we do not need to amputate, we can just bandage the wound better. It healed completely Red flag number 2. My other dog (10lbs yorkie) has always been on combogard with zero issues and all of the sudden the doctor doesn't advise it anymore and switched my dog to simparica trio. My dog had an adverse reaction that almost killed him and still has neurological issues to this day from the seizures he endured. 3rd and final red flag. My dog got bit at daycare and I have been traveling with no way to bring her in. I sent over some pics of the wound asking for some guidance and advice. The only response I received was to bring her in even though I informed them that was not possible. This wasn't a matter of me nor wanting to pay for a visit. I simply could not bring her in! I had a very condescending manager call me in regards to "a bump on my dogs noggin" when in fact the issue was a bite mark.... Cassie is so far out of touch with reality and how to talk to people. When Cassie didn't get far with me they finally got the doctor on the phone (the one who tried to amputate my dogs tail without cause) and he attempted to reprimand me instead of giving me medical advice. I can't believe this place hasn't been shut down for malpractice. I am making sure that everyone knows the truth. Note** The girls at the front desk have ALWAYS been very sweet, helpful and kind. I would love to see y'all working for a better company. You deserve it! read more

We Took our cat here for an emergency visit when she was just a kitten. It was our first time coming to this vet. She had had a seizure and we came in and after looking at her for 2 seconds they put her back in the cage and told us we had two options, do an MRI which was incredibly expensive or have her put down to test for rabies. Never in my life have I had an experience like this at a vet. It was incredibly unhelpful and frustrating. We understand being concerned for rabies, but the cat clearly had no actual signs of rabies besides her panicking from stress. We ended up taking her to our family trusted vet who gave us a proper diagnosis and 8 months later our cat is a year old and healthy as can be. I never post these but I felt this experience needed to be shared as no one should have to be put in that position at a vet. read more

I was in a bind - discovered my newly adopted kittens had ringworm and needed a lime sulfur bath to treat. My regular vet wasn't available but saw the great reviews for this one. They had done a great pivot in the time of Covid and FaceTimed with me while Dr Carpenter checked out my little sweeties. The entire staff was spectacular to work with, very customer oriented. Loved Dr Carpenters style as well, not alarmist, very pragmatic and very kind. You would be well served with this team. Thanks again! read more

If you are intimidated, annoyed and confused by your vet, make the switch to Bee Cave Veterinary Clinic! Rich is a very honest vet, with good advice. He doesn't scare you into unnecessary procedures that simply run up the bill. Rich is a vet with integrity. He will prescribe a course of action that is the least invasive for your animal. He is the only vet I've been to that treats your animal with true dignity. His approach is the best in the business. You are never afraid to ask questions and develop a comprehensive understanding of the problems and procedures. Plainly put, there is no valid reason to see any other vet in this city. If your animal is a part of your family, you need to see Rich. read more

Dr. Reinert and his staff are great... We have switched our small armada of pets over to his offices now from one of the larger veterinary providers... They've provided personalized service every time we need anything, and are great about following up to see how our pets are. Sometimes the best measure of a vet, or perhaps any provider, is how they handle the instances where the news that needs to be delivered isn't what one wants to hear. Our dog was diagnosed with bone cancer, and Dr Reinert provided us with a handful of contacts at specialty clinics to get second opinions and to evaluate our options so that we could make the most educated decision with how to move forward with her, all the while counseling us about some of the specifics and what to expect in the event that it was osteosarcoma. After getting more opinions, confirming his initial suspicions, and seeing that her quality and quantity life were both waning, we set an appointment to have her put to sleep. They had a place set for her in a side room (not exam room), along with a blanket, in order to make the transition as stress free as possible for our dog. Although it was a heartbreaking experience, they made the process of setting her free as meaningful for us and as painless for her as possible. Nothing but great things to say about the team there! They have our heartfelt thanks. read more

I have tried out 5 different vets since moving to the Austin area over 4 years ago and FINALLY found the right one! Everyone @ Bee Cave Vet Clinic is so nice, friendly, and helpful. They seem to truly love animals and know what they are doing. Dr. Reinap is very nice and caring. He knew that I was worried about my senior (12 y.o) dog being under anesthesia during her surgery so he called me just about every 20 minutes to let me know she was doing OK. I really appreciate that. He also did surgery on my pet rat, removing a very large tumor, and saving his life. I can't say enough good things about BCVC! They also do cute things for charity like pet pictures with Santa. Gotta love people who give back to the community! read more

We were referred to Bee Caves Veterinary Clinic from a friend who's dog had surgery (removing tumor) performed by them. It was very similar to what we were researching for our dog. So we went to them as a second opinion since we already went to another Vet near downtown to get the initial analysis and prognosis. Dr. Carter and Reinap were very thorough in explaining options for treatment, surgery, recovery and expectations. A lot of the information provided we already heard from the first Vet but in their explanations they were detailed and made us feel at ease. So we sat on the decision and finally decided to have them perform the surgery. Surgery went great and as expected we received great explanations on the procedure and all our follow up questions. They laid out a recovery plan and we are starting the healing process. Pricing was right on par, maybe a little more IN-expensive than the original vet we had quotes from. We would definitely recommend. Staff is very friendly and Dr. Reinap is always willing to answer any questions you may have. read more

By far the best vet clinic I have ever come across! I have used Bee Cave Veterinary Clinic since moving to Austin in early 2011 and knew immediately I had found the right vet. Bee Cave Veterinary Clinic feels like a relative's place... everyone knows you and seems to genuinely care about your animal babies; they call to check up on them after visits/procedures, they get you in touch with the doctor when you have questions and they remember what's happening in the lives of your animals... it's easy to trust they're in good hands there. Dr. Reinap is extremely knowledgeable and explains things thoroughly, but even more important, he is available to answer questions and eased my mind during some difficult moments with my 15 year old dog. He was willing to open on a weekend, talk after hours and eventually, he and Ai (the sweetest vet tech) even came to my home to put him down comfortably. We also rescued a puppy and a kitten, while abroad in Thailand and he checked them out and made sure they were on a good road for a long and healthy life. I trust my babies with Dr. Reinap and Bee Cave Veterinary Clinic and highly recommend you do too! You won't regret it! read more

Love Dr. Reinap! My two dogs have been through so much with this clinic! Surgeries, quarantines and regular check ups. I am that crazy pet parent and they truly make it easier. The staff has gone above and beyond for me. Alana and Bonnie are wonderful with my two dogs and always remember us. They give great guidance and the prices are very reasonable. I tried Lakeway vet only because I couldn't get into beecave one Friday and it was a terrible experience. I know to be patient! Thank you so much! read more

We took our 11 year old, mixed breed, Daisy to see Dr. Reinap because she had been losing appetite and energy. His initial exam showed her to be in good condition, but he felt a blood test would be wise. Her blood chemistry showed that her kidneys were probably damaged beyond repair. Dr. R explained that the liver can recover, but that kidneys cannot. He said if we wanted to try for recovery, we should get her to a vet hospital immediately. We took her to South Austin, and after additional consultation, made the decision to let her go. None of us in our family of 4 was ready for this, but as we talked and prayed about it, we decided that we could not allow our emotions to stand in the way of doing what was best for Daisy. She trusted us, and we needed to honor that trust. The compassion and clear information that Dr. R provided helped greatly. Everyone on his staff was kind, patient, friendly, and professional. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Reinap. By the time I found Dr. Reinap, my lab was 8 years old and had had more than his share of medical issues! Poor thing! But, the very first time we met Dr. Reinap, I could tell that Max (my lab) trusted Dr. Reinap. Max had never taken a treat from any vet or vet-tech before. But, Dr. Reinap offered Max a treat and he took it immediately. This was a big deal! And, for the next 4 years, Dr. Reinap and his staff took the BEST care of Max. Because of Max' medical issues, Dr. Reinap was pretty aggressive with his care. But, he never did (or even suggested) unnecessary procedures or treatments. And, I was such a vulnerable first-time dog-mother that I would have done almost anything he said! He could have made SO MUCH money on me and Max! But, he was so reasonable and fair and it made me trust him even more. Dr. Reinap is very compassionate, and caring, and honest, and fair and I highly recommend him. He offers great treatment for your pet and peace of mind for you. read more

The vet and staff were nice. Their annual visit prices were comparable to others in the area. My two dogs needed procedures done and their estimates for the surgeries were really high($1000). Ended up taking them to another vet which did them for half. How can there be such a discrepancy? Felt like I was getting bent over. FYI. They offer 10% off for customers who write a review for them, which might explain every review they get is 5 stars. read more

I brought in my Doberman--Amara--to Bee Cave Veterinary Clinic a week ago because she had been bleeding profusely from the nose. If you're the type of person who is bothering to read a review on a vet clinic, I probably don't have to explain to you how worried I was. I chose this clinic, and made the drive from Round Rock, because of the excellent user reviews it received and because I wanted the best for my dog. I got it. The facilities are large, bright, clean; the staff is helpful, patient, and attentive to your pet; Dr. Reinap is very knowledgeable--he helped me understand Amara's condition and addressed several possibilities, including some breed-specific conditions, off the top of his head in a manner that reassured me he was quite competent and focused. The course of action he recommended seems to be working, though that will be confirmed on Wednesday when I take Amara back in for another round of blood work to ensure her platelets continue to rebound. All of these elements you will probably be able to find at a lot of vet clinics, but what makes me rate this particular vet "as good as it gets" on the Yelp scale is the continuing service. Dr. Reinap answered two of my calls over the holiday weekend (one relating to refilling Amara's medicine and another to an inexplicable bout of spasms in her mouth and throat) and he even followed up (later the same weekend day) to make sure she was okay. I have received a total of three additional calls from his staff over the past week giving me updates on tests as they arrive and I also received a thank you card signed by the Dr. and all the staff. When you love your pet, and your pet gets sick, it is very distressing. That distress is met by many with a kind of eye-rolling dismissiveness. It can be a sad, lonely place to be. My experience with Bee Cave Vet Clinic was exceptional because Dr. Reinap and his entire staff treated my pet with the same amount of care, focus, and concern that I had. I am very thankful for the experience and will continue to make the long commute to ensure that my dog gets the best care. Incidentally, the prices are very reasonable as well, particularly so when you consider the overall experience. read more

I used Bee Cave Vet in 2011 and had a terrible experience with the front desk help. They didn't listen, always interrupted and the list goes on and on. I finally ended up taking my business elsewhere simply because it was SO frustrating. Recently I need some shot records for my pups and was forced to call over there to retrieve them. The vet answered the phone and we had a good discussion, he then went out of his way on Saturday to get the documents to me. I had an emergency with my pup a couple of weeks later and called.....he answered after hours and again went out of his way to discuss the matter with me. I think everyone typically deserves a second chance....I went in the next day with our emergency and there was an entirely new staff and it was a great experience. They won be back with their efforts and I am very appreciative of that!! read more

I am a fairly new client of Dr. Reinap, but have been very impressed with him so far. The staff got us roomed right away (unheard of), and we were able to do the history portion of his exam in the room with the staff (no 15 pages of information to fill out while your dog is tugging on his leash to go chase cats!). All the staff are very friendly. The Dr. did a great thorough exam and explained everything as he went along. He was able to update my pup on his vaccines and tests. When I had a questions concerning my dog's medication later the next day, the staff had Dr. Reinap on the phone within seconds. It's a relief to know your vet is available to answer your questions and concerns outside the scheduled appointments. Overall, affordable veterinary services with outstanding quality. read more

My local pet store recommended Bee Cave Veterinary Clinic near the Hill Country Galleria. They have treated me and my little yorkie like we are the most important clients in the office! I always speak to the same people in the office (no wildly rotating staff) and i always see the same vet and he knows my dogs! He really even remembers what is going on with her if he runs into me in the office picking up a perscription. The doctor and staff then stayed FOUR HOURS after closing on HALLOWEEN night to help perform surgery. I was really impressed especially as this was my first time going there. We have been going to Dr. Reinap for several years now. He has treated our cat for a Urinary Tract infection and performed an emergency surgery on our dog who had a piece of tennis ball stuck in his lower intestine. He also removed a growth on our dogs eyelid and cleaned his teeth. We have had routine visits as well for vaccines and prescriptions. We are always pleased with the staff and bed side manner. I love the local feel to the office. The most impressive visit with Dr. Reinap was when we called him on a Sunday morning to euthanize our cat. I visited here because I had an Amazon Local deal and the previous vet that I visited (Austin Vet Care) was such a terrible experience that I vowed to never go back. The visit was supposed to be just an exam, a rabies shot, etc. but since my cat had demonstrated some signs of sickness, I was hoping that this visit would also help resolve the random symptoms my cat was experiencing. The place was clean (and didn't smell like a mixture of urine and cleaner like vets typically smell like) and the staff was really wonderful with my cat. Dr. Reinap was really patient with explaining things to me about my cat's health and wasn't pushy (I'm looking at you, Austin Vet Care) to have me agree to run a bunch of tests on my cat that may not have been needed. He allowed me to make the decisions about my pet's health without making me feel like I was a terrible person to be conservative about treatments. To add to all of this, a member from the staff called the next day to follow-up from our visit. This gave me an opportunity to ask a few more questions and it was just really nice in general to know that It's a little bit of a hike from my home (I live in north central austin) but the trip was totally worth it if it means my cat feels better and I don't feel like I was ripped off for mediocre care. read more
