Nothing to view except rows stacked mattresses no way of testing one out. The Fultondale store manager was fairly knowledgeable and apparently started in their warehouse. He has quite obviously been trained in the way the company does business fairly well spoken, can think fast on his feet and great at product/Price massage. He Could easily make someone surely believe your getting the best of the best at a great price. I was never told about anything being used or a return just that they were scuffed damaged at the factory or delivery truck drivers. Possibly closeout/overstock models. I had to help move mattress around in order to try (ripped a new pair of running shoes as the mattress roller Dollie clipped the top of my right shoe Brooks are not exactly a Walmart special). Not that I minded. I digress. The main issues that made me walk away were 1 mattress had an odor like a sweat without deodorant type odor. Many mattresses are dirty and appear to have been rewrapped in plastic and some looked to be just taped back together. I had expected scuffed, dent/ding, discontinued and overstock merchandise. As all advertising that I have viewed suggests. I am not saying that I would mind something gently or slightly used Unstained and bug free of course. But it would be nice if the advertising, TV commercials & signage indicated slightly used. If there were some way to keep the slightly used mattresses that a customer sent back during the trial period or for whatever reason it was returned was able to be clearly marked as used or kept separate from any true never used never slept on mattresses would be a great improvement and would have made me at least have a better opinion. I don't mind the ends or edges dirty or marked or even a spot here or there on the front side cover as long as it wasn't body fluids (can always steam clean non biohazards with Stanley) I may be a little COVID-19 conscience by stating the above . I don't care if the bottom side of the mattress is dirty from a trailer floor or something to that effect. You can have 2 of the exact same mattresses side by side Same model same everything one could be clean and the other not in as pristine shape dirty, odor etc but the price is still the exact same. Which I find kinda odd. One would think that the dirty one would be a little cheaper especially if it's effecting 2/3rds of the top cover or pillow top. Some may have small tears on the sides or ends a ripped handle hanging off the mattress side where someone obviously installed the mattresses MAKE NO MISTAKE THE MAJORITY OF THE STOCK CONSISTS OF SECONDS & SLIGHTLY USED and there's no way to differentiate what inventory has been slept in "USED" or seconds due to a defect or a new discontinued buy out. ALSO there is NO FACTORY WARRANTY but Dover says they will Warranty most of their product for up to 1year Another huge issue to me was the price of each mattress kept going up higher each time we spoke for instance one was 899 then 5 minutes later 999 this happened on several occasions on several different mattresses on the same day. The commercial, website and signage say 50% to 75% off. Upon asking I was told about the best they can do is 60% off of MSRP. With the exception of a price they showed me for a mattress that was over $7,000.00 on a website that they compare from to get their price and then take 50% off. However they had one that they would let go for 1599.00 before tax. (Not sure if that's where the up to 75% number comes from.) The highest MSRP you can find advertised take whatever the % off for that particular day is. No matter what condition / shape the mattress is in. It is still the same price or same % off. The manager guy clerk had to go to the back of the store so he could talk to his boss Mr. Dover I assume in private to ask about mattress prices which always came back as a NO when trying to negotiate anything or arguing that the MSRP was overstated not real or factual, Inflated MSRP that they used to price their 50% off. Note that MSRP does NOT include the SALE price that another group of stores may be running. The 50% off to 75% off is based solely on the MSRP or normal store price. NOT on WHAT another store may have a promotion or SALE on. As per the Manager I have a hard time believing that on a upper end Sealy, Sterns & Foster or even a Beauty Rest that they are truly paying $1250 to $1500 each for seconds, slightly used & damaged units. I just don't believe it. Even though the owner was called and he confirmed it to the manager and by the manager. I mean these are not a top of the line Tempur-Pedic we are speaking of here. I Kinda get the feeling of dishonesty and the prices the more you speak the more they go up 100, 200 and even 300 dollars. It's just Bizarre

Or about how I got an insane deal on said bed (a real, name brand bed: Sealy Posturepedic to be specific... the gel series)... it was about $300 less than a similar bed I saw online. Or, I could speak about the kind, very un-pushy salesman that aided me in my bed-picking. But that wouldn't tell the whole story. In reality, I ran into this store in desperation. I was moving the next day, I needed a bed, and not just any bed, but a nice, comfy, homey bed. And I needed it delivered, box springs, bed frame and all, and set up (because hey, I'm a girl, and beds are large, unwieldy and heavy). Bedzzz Express helped me pick the perfect mattress, worked with me to get it delivered (for free!), and even sold me a discounted bed frame. All in all, the LEAST stressful part of my entire move. But the idea of never getting to test the mattress until it arrived at our home chased us away from the online companies. The store is conveniently located and a nice, clean atmosphere. Richard was very accommodating and extremely informative. We of course started at the front of the store, where the more expensive mattresses were located. But we worked our way back to mattresses which were still quite comfortable but had less sticker shock. We took notes, and we left to check out the competition. The other guys had good deals as well, but never the same personal experience that we got from Richard at this Bedzzz Express. We kept coming back, and this is where we finally made our purchase. The deal was good, including a military discount because of our son's service in the Coast Guard. Our delivery date was delayed because of the remodeling project in our room, and we even had to push it back another week when other elements of the remodel weren't ready. The company was very accommodating the whole time, the delivery arrived on time and the delivery crew was very friendly.
