If I could give them zero stars I would. This is a predator Buy Here- Pay Here type of home…read morefurnishings business that has been able to get rich off of people unable to buy household items elsewhere for various reasons. I took someone there at the end of our shopping trip due to their demanding pleas to 'just see'. Long story short, against my better judgement they paid for a NEW dining room set with a debit card. I noticed when it was still on the truck none of the items were in a box and called the store to see why? They insisted it was indeed all new. I should have never allowed it off the truck. Once it was in the house and I sent them pictures proving it wasn't new they instructed the driver not to take it back, refused to refund the money back to the card and tried to tell me I agreed to buy the floor model. Had I done so I assure you I would have negotiated a discounted price. They then pointed to the fine print on the sales agreement for "Installment Loans" they wrote the purchase up on that said there are no refunds on anything on this sale. This was a cash purchase and there was damage to the table, a chair and China cabinet. Everytime I see one of their deceiving commercial on TV my anger for crossing their doorstep returns. Had I been in control of that person's affairs, I would have followed the process with their bank to dispute the situation, hired an lawyer and/or protested in person, on line and contacted the local media. They have been able to get away with this predatory behavior because their customers dIdn't have the capacity to dispute them. I wouldn't let myy worst enemy buy a mop from them.

We were a bit skeptical prior to walking into the store, but do not judge a book by its cover! As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a friendly associate. We had a very nice young man named Rodney who made us feel very welcome and not pressured in the slightest. He was very knowledgeable on all the products and really helped us understand the various models of the furniture (couches, bedroom set) we were looking at. The furniture was very high quality and much more sturdy/well-made than most of the furniture you will find at big box stores. We were "just browsing" our first time in the store. The next day we came in to purchase the furniture and Rodney immediately remembered us by name. The whole process was very easy and stress-free. The owner of the store even came out and talked with us for quite awhile and made us feel at home. The furniture they delivered a few days later was immaculate and the deliverers even put together the bed frame for us. I have nothing but positive things to say about this hidden gem, and we will certainly be back in the future if we have more furniture needs!

The showroom itself is beautiful and updated constantly to reflect the new arrivals and seasons. Staff is very helpful, Miss Scottlyn toured us around the floor and asked what we were interested in! I love that the staff wants to make thier pieces work with your existing home, and they're not going to try to sell you on an entire room of furniture. The merchandise itself is great, some prints of birds caught my eye, and I'm usually not a fan of mass-produced art at all. If you're looking for bed linens, this is a great place to check out! Comparable to Pottery Barn, but something a little bit different. Very happy to have Ballard in Birmingham, it's a great place to gather inspiration if nothing else.

Review of Tempur-Pedic Flagship Store - Birmingham, AL (Summit)…read moreNovember 2025 I recently visited the Tempur-Pedic Flagship Store at the Summit in Birmingham with the intention of purchasing two Extra-Long Twin adjustable Ergo bases for mattresses we already owned. I worked with salesman Mark Janus, who was patient and genuinely helpful. Based on his explanation of the options, I initially purchased one Power Base and one Smart Base (an additional $300) that was supposed to raise my husband's head if he snored. The total came to about $2,300, and Mark rang it up on my credit card. After asking more questions, I realized the Smart Base wasn't practical for us. I requested that the order be changed to two Power Bases instead, saving $300. Unfortunately, due to rigid corporate policies, Mark was unable to void the transaction and re-run my card. Instead, he had to process a reimbursement request. Even worse, he couldn't provide a receipt for the refund--my only proof was a screenshot from his computer. I was told the credit would take 2-3 weeks. I was furious! Delivery was another headache. I was supposed to be contacted within a week, but it took two weeks just to be notified that only one base had arrived. I refused partial delivery, and after another week and multiple phone calls, the second base finally came in and got delivered 3 weeks after my order in the store. And it took a full month before I received my $300 refund, ridulous! The staff themselves were wonderful and tried their best, but their hands were tied by poor corporate policies that made the entire experience unnecessarily frustrating. I love Tempur-Pedic products, but I will never shop at the Flagship store again. If you value smooth transactions, timely delivery, and straightforward customer service, I cannot recommend this location.
