Update 6/3/22: The hostel has decided to remove me from the premises as Tropical Storm Alex hits Miami, due to the below review. I am appalled at "Beds'N Drinks" hostel for this decision, and will never return, regardless of their future renovation status. It feels criminal at worst, and incredibly petty at best. The owners of this establishment should be concerned about continuing to use Equity Point Management. Luckily I have been able to book at Generator Hostel nearby. It is such a huge improvement, and I'm so glad to now be at Generator. Original Review: This was sold to me as the best solo traveler hostel, full of lively activities, but that seems to be a lie. The worthwhile events (hotdog parties, movie screenings, back patio and bar, nightclub crawls, etc) are all cancelled due to "renovations." This is not apparent on the website, or HostelWorld listing, anywhere. This fact lowers this property from a fun place to meet people and do things to a very lame place. It is close to the beach, but so is literally every other hostel in Miami Beach. Do not recommend.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I had a booking for 4pm, got here at 4pm waited 1hr40min on a line so the girl at reception would tell me that she couldn't find me in the system so I should wait MORE to get my room, that it wouldn't be "1 hour wait probably" even that I waited already almost 2 hours!!! I have a plane to catch at 10pm in fort lauderdale, just did the reservation to take a shower and rest. she didn't tried to help me or solve my problem, she was disrespectful laughing when I turned my back on her to wait at the lobby! I am 100% disappointed, cheap place but even cheaper service!!!! NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY! AWFUL, waiting at the lobby feeling like shit and tired af, but what can we do if the system wouldn't update right?!?!? UPDATE: 2:30 hours wait to get my room, still waiting for the manager to arrive. UPDATE: I left after waiting 3 hours for a room and for the manager to arrive, and today 17th I got charged for the room I never got!

I stayed in the girls dorm. The check in was painless. $10 for the key card & towel deposit. I was given a number to hang on the bed of my choosing. The room seemed fairly clean. My bed was sandy though. It was comfortable enough & I didn't get any bites. The bathroom tile looked like there is some funky growth - Hard to tell because of the color of the tiles. They don't provide locks for the locker. Be sure to bring your own or there's a large CVS down the road. Breakfast was in a box: Bagel, yoghurt & banana. Towel can only be changed after 5 days otherwise it costs $1 per change. Great location. Round the corner from Lincoln Street Mall & 10 minutes walk from Ocean Drive & the beach. Good price for the location. The shuttle service is a little expensive compared to Super Shuttle so check them out first.

COCKROACHES wasn't even the worst thing!.....Not one amenity was provided as described. No shuttle as advertised, Breakfast consisted of Tap Water and Toast. The facility was in complete disrepair, the bar was not open and the common "kitchen" area was nonexistent. The patio was not cleaned and covered in vomit. Room 207 was infested with Cockroaches. Front Desk was "unable" to provide any service recovery without a manager. Not only was there no manager for 3 days straight, but there also has not been a manager available for the past 10 days. We checked out after the 1st night, were promised the have the 2 remaining nights refunded, They have not. They also kept the security deposit claiming we did not return our keys, we returned them when we spoke to the front desk clerk.

Rooms a little dated but spacious. There is complimentary coffee and tea in the small room area behind checkin- they also sell snacks in that room. I believe valet was $40.

The food was okay, not the best, but convenient for sure. The service was excellent. Everybody was very friendly. So this review would stand and be read. Bikini Hostel deserves one star, or less. In fact, shut it down. It was free for me because they tried to use my credit card to buy pizza and Bank of America refunded all my money due to fraud. The police might as well be on staff - the cops come at least twice a night. I was there 3 nights. Each morning they locked me out of my room, and once took all my stuff. The lockers didn't work either - that was part of the CC fraud case. And don't bother asking for your deposit back. It's so messed up I saw the receptionist take a drunk guys money, give him beer, then call the cops to haul him away for being drunk. He was yelling "PUSSIES!!!!" As the cops shoved him in the car. Unreal. For real, everything is so upside down I'm not sure the experience WAS real. That said, I met some great folks staying there just looking for a good time. I'm gonna stay in touch with a couple. A lifetime of stories in 3 days. Absolutely whacked place. I left yesterday and have already forgotten some shit. It's super cheap and overpriced.

I could not book this room in advance, so I booked a south beach hostel to make sure that I would have a place to sleep my first night in Miami. I couldn't wait to check out the hotels in Little Havana, especially this one with high hopes of making the switch. I've stayed in Miami many times but never in Little Havana. (my favorite area) I found out about this place thanks to helpful Miami yelpers. Thanks again Miami yelp! I met the owner David, a very cool guy, (father of three) who gave me the lowdown on the cool place. More like an apartment rental than a hotel, the rooms are rented by the week only, paid in advance only. A cash-only one hundred dollar refundable deposit is mandatory before checking in. To get into this place, you have to have at least four hundred dollars in cash. But! Rates can break down to be as low as $25 dollars per night for the single person renting here! There is a Bank Of America on SW eighth street where I made a special withdrawal so that I could stay here. Tower hotel is over one hundred years old. The building has some serious signs of wear. No elevators, just stairs. The pros. This location is awesome. On a quiet residential part of Southwest 7th street surrounded by houses. Only half a block from my favorite block of Little Havana with all the best restaurants, coffee and culture of Miami right there within a two minute walk! Domino park, Tower movie theater, the Ceiba tree, my favorite Little Havana bars, cafes, music stores, restaurants and markets. It is all here. Location, location, location. Five stars. The amenities. Cable TV, parking, a refrigerator, a microwave, free wi-fi, a huge room, a large private bathroom, coin operated laundry. The cons. The building is over one hundred years old and the furnishings are worn. It could use a fresh coat of paint. The bedspread was substandard. My room reminded me of a large dorm room. But! The amenities that this place lacks are the ones that you can buy and donate to charity when you are finished. The owner/manager lives next door and is not always at the front desk when you need something. He always answered my phone call when I had a question though. There is no complimentary maid service offered but you can purchase it for an additional cost. I always put the "Do not disturb" sign up anyway. I am overprotective of my stuff. My room had a large closet, a dresser, a table and chair, one towel for the floor and one for the bath, an extra roll of toilet paper, a bar of soap, a nightstand topped with a small TV, a double bed, a fan, a refrigerator and a microwave. I bought, shampoo, conditioner, a couple of wash cloths, a couple of towels and a blanket on 8th Street. Total damage? Less than $50. There are great deals to be had in the Ocho! The Miami Women's and Children's shelter was happy to take my washed linens and extra cloths etc. when I was finished with them.:-) The bathroom. Cheap plastic shower curtain. Just like Balley's in Vegas! The water pressure is not great and just barely hot enough. The tile is worn. But there is a bathtub.:-) The windows opened up to screens so that I could listen to the neighborhood birds singing and let the breeze come in. The bed was a little firm and a little worn but I slept all through the night here and sometimes napped during the day. There is free street parking on 15th street. Also on 15th street, is a private lot available for $10 to the guests of Tower hotel. If you are worried about your rental car like I was, the lot has intimidating "you are being recorded" signs, so I parked here. If you are like me, and live by "Let's Go", you have climbed six flights of stairs and slept in a cupboard to take advantage of the world's greatest view of the Eiffel Tower from your window and the sweetest smell coming from the bakery downstairs. It is only a matter of time before someone throws a coat of paint on this place and a couple of mod blankets. At that point we are goners and will be paying over one hundred dollars per night to stay here. Take advantage now friends. The area is predominantly Latin families. If you are afraid of a Cuban woman pushing a stroller, you should not stay here. I felt 100% safe walking around during the day all by myself. At night the area is a little quiet so it might be wise to travel in pairs, just in case. Or at least wear your "I am not one to mess with" look like I do.;-) If location is more important to you than linens, this is for you. If you love Calle Ocho like I do, this is for you. Location 5 stars. Amenities 5 stars. Service 5 stars. Room 3 stars. Furnishings 2 stars. Here, I stayed in a cool one hundred year old building on my favorite block in my favorite neighborhood in Miami. Five stars.:-)

Companies also need to hold themselves accountable, if you tell a customer you're giving them a partial refund, you better give em 1. Also the security guard seemed to disappear with a girl from the lobby during the late hours of the night. I believe in minding your business, b/ that's extremely unprofessional, & more importantly unsafe. These qualities aren't what I look for in cleaning, security, company policy, etc. The only saving grace was a very nice woman working the lobby, who tried to cheer me up & recommended a few places to go. Along with the location, Calle Ocho is 1 of the best parts of the city. They never kicked the moaning man out, he had to leave on his own accord. Considering he got away with this, any1 can get away with sexual harassment, & this company won't even respond to me anymore. It's quite dystopian. I shouldn't feel like I'm being annoying, or the company doesn't care, when I have suffered major problems. It wouldn't be hard to get ran over outside the hotel either, just to keep in mind. BREAKDOWN OF BASIC NECESSITIES THAT WEREN'T MET: No fridge in room, fridge in lobby was out of order. No snacks or gift items. Water pressure & heating system is extremely touchy & bad. Bad & unclear communication. Lack of care from seemingly everyone. You can hear EVERYTHING (ahem). Bad smell. Hard to sleep, light leaks into the room, the bed is uncomfortable. There is hair absolutely everywhere no exaggeration. Literally no room service. Unsafe security. Unreliable customer support. "You're on your own" attitude even down to servicing yourself in room service. Picture of old men's hands playing dominoes above the bed, (we all know what this implies), how about some fucking nature instead, huh? Horrible (inexistent) cleaning services. I would've done far better as a cleaning person. Dirty & gross, I left it with less hair, grime, & smell than when I got there. Stressful, isolating, & uncomfortable. THEY NEED TO DO THEIR JOBS. No chill @ all, it's not a chill hotel. DON'T STAY HERE, IT'S NOT WORTH IT. YOU WANT TO HAVE FUN IN MIAMI & NOT SUFFER. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE KIDS, ARE OLDER IN AGE, WANT A MORE "MIAMI" LOCATION, ARE DISTURBED BY HAIR/GERMS, CREEPY SECURITY GUARDS, TENANTS. TAKE OFF THE ROSE COLORED GLASSES. THIS COMPANY DOESN'T GAF BESIDES THE FEW NICE RECEPTIONISTS, & THAT'S THEIR JOB. THIS HOTEL IS NOT NICE. I'D RATHER STAY IN AN AIRBNB, OR EVEN A DECENT MOTEL. TO SPEND A LITTLE EXTRA IS WORTH IT, IF YOU'RE VACATIONING TO MIAMI, @ LEAST MAKE SURE WHEREVER YOU'RE STAYING IS NICE. THOSE LEAVING 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE EXTREMELY IGNORANT, THEY LOVE THE ROSE TINTED GLASSES. REALISTICALLY, IT'S 2 STARS, @ MOST, 3 STARS.

There is a Whole Foods half a block away, and majority of the restaurants, including a CVS drug store are in that area, within 2/3 block away from the hotel. Bank atm are across the draw bridge. We didn't use the monorail for we are busy exploring the city by foot, lol. Not so good: The hotel restaurant, Riverview bar and grill - Although lovely, the menu was limiting, the same menu for both lunch and dinner. The wagyu burger was expensive for what you get and bland in taste at best. It's like it's been out there for awhile and just waiting to be order, it's also dry. Cruise line hamburger were much better in taste. The rest of my order including the drinks were delicious ! Solution: Need to expand their menu items. For a " regency" hotel, I was surprised it was very limiting. Expand the dinner menu, I saw a couple of people having dinner at the restaurant, probably fellow cruisers like us. The African American lady host was friendly, hospitable and kind. Reception/ Customer Service - My reservation requires a pre-payment at time of booking, one night stay charged, approximately $200.00, it's already been charged and cleared by my Ccard company some hyatt hotel only do Ccard authorization anywhere between $1.00 - $50.00 when reservation requires a pre-payment. But why in the world, this young Latino man charged me the entire 3 night stay at check in for $927.00 ? My Ccard decline the authorization, I asked to try again was but declined again. Didn't say anything nor didn't apologize either. Imagined my shocked and embarrassment !!! I told him to hold on, scramble my finances for about 5 mins and told him to try again, it went thru this time, but again no apology no word, just handed me my keys and that was it. Maybe the hotel manager need to address the issue re: paid - pre-payment authorization vs credits card authorization at check in. That " too young to know, too young to care mentality" never fails. Noise: For the most part, the hotel is quiet, it just those stupid, ignorant, cacky race car drivers who thinks they own the road, by blasting their (borrowed) sports car engine all day and night ! Not the hotel fault! They were having a renovation/ repair in the lobby while we were there . This hotel is hopping with flight attendants stays and hotel sponsored events. I will stay again for the convenience!

The clerks are nice but they are very strict. i couldn't even bring a female friend into the room at night. She was allowed to stay sitting down outside after i introduced her to the clerk. By the way, some clerks speak Turkish, so I got to practice a bit. :)

Oh My God! A Company I was traveling with booked me this hotel and I never bothered to look into…read morethe overall hotel and its reviews - assumed its in downtown Miami that it would be good. I felt I landed in 1950's! I have not seen the materials in this hotel since god knows how long. The TV seems century old but lol it was working. The bed you can feel the springs hurting your back. It was than I decided to call the company and tell them what were they thinking, they mixed my booking with an entry level employee. I was than booked a room into next door property called Hyatt Regency.

River Park Hotel & Suites Very overpriced for what you got…read more We've stayed in much nicer lower priced hotels. First, the young man working the front desk on 11/28 pm was plain rude! No name tag so couldn't get his name. Not friendly at all, acted put off. He walked off w/ my husband's credit card and passport. Maybe to copy for work file but it should be done where customer can watch his own credit card at all times. Ask him a question and he sharply points to this book or that picture - NOT the warm welcome you want clients and customers to have! Room is basic, 1-2 star max. Peeling wallpaper in bathroom, cracked dresser, worn carpet, overpriced, no secure lock for nighttime. Breakfast ok. Only staying one night before cruise but wouldn't recommend or stay here again.
