Tried heavy trimming but to no avail. They had to come down. I had many solicitors over the past two years, offering a wide range of solutions with a wide range of costs. Unfortunately, I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I happened upon Maguire's Family Tree Service through a glance at Facebook community page, along with several other tree services. I contacted all of them and they all responded, but when Joe (Maguire) came out, he offered me many options with solid costs for each option. He was down to earth and I liked his presentation. He doesn't have some of the large 'toys' that others have, but he has grit, determination and a good eye for the job. I researched for reviews and couldn't find much, but I still hired his company. His office staff (Felicia, the missus) is extremely competent and efficient. When Joe and Tod finished the job of several tricky tree removals, the work area was clean and the quality of work was on time and exactly what I wanted. They did a wonderfully professional job. HOWEVER, when I later contacted them, looking for an estimate and questions about their services in coordination with their connection to Burl Land Clearing, I spoke to Karen, who was rather short with me, seemingly in a hurry to end my call; she said that Mark, would explain everything when he comes for the assessment and estimate. Mark (a very personable/likeable person) came on June 11, walked the property with my husband, then talked with us both about what we wanted and what his company could do. He did not give us any written document of the estimate at that time, I received a roughly hand-drawn diagram and estimate by email the following day. It was not as complete, nor detailed as my husband and I were expecting, nor hoping. My husband has multiple times suggested that we start again but was repeatedly told, no, they'll fix it. It is now July 16 and we are going to run out of time (season wise) soon. And I expect, at this point in the season, I would have difficulty finding another company with any availability. I am so disappointed as I wanted to look for a landscaper service to pretty-up my property after the trees were removed and now that needs further delay.
