    Absolute worst shopping experience ever and the mattress is terrible. Could've paid 1/3 of the price and gotten a better mattress on line.

Two weeks later I had to have surgery and found the bed too hard to get out of as it was sinking more than when I laid on it in the store. I went back to the store to exchange it. The same sales lady was there, still very polite. I picked a bed that was less than the original one. I was told there would be no refund for the difference, plus they wanted me to pay a $100 restocking fee? Excuse me? I asked why that would be and she stated all sales are final. I could exchange the mattress within 30 days but get no refund for any price difference. That was not stated to me when purchasing, or I would have gone elsewhere out of principal of that being bad practice. She tried saying she told me, but I know she did not or I would have left. Mattresses are expensive and a long term investment, so I would have gone somewhere with flexibility, like most other places. She showed me the one LITTLE sign stating all sales final hanging on a random column in the store, in small print. Not at their desks where you are paying, or even facing the mattresses you are trying. Somewhere you wouldn't even notice it and can't see from where you sit to do the paperwork and pay. She also said it was noted on the receipt, the thing they give you AFTER you pay so it's already final! I was not happy, so instead of refunding the difference they gave me items to make up the difference (sheets, pillow). I would have preferred my money back. I will not buy anything from here again knowing this now. I need a new mattress for my daughter but definitely not from here. Be careful if you choose to buy from here.

When I was trying to decide between two Chatam & Wells mattresses (I had come to Metro Mattress because they carry the brand), the salesman suggested that I purchase the less expensive one, and then, if it proved unsatisfactory, exchange it for the more expensive one. He didn't exactly explain that the exchange policy stipulates that you can only exchange a less for a more expensive mattress, but to be fair, that was implicit in his advice. Nevertheless, I went with the more expensive one. Delivery was okay (though I did not receive the sheet set that was supposed to have been part of a Labor Day gift package and no one returned my phone call about that). But after sleeping on the mattress for a week, I decided I had made a mistake and began researching other brands. Eventually, I found one that sounded perfect, which was on display at Macy's, and resolved to go check it out. I had read online that Metro Mattress would charge a restocking fee on a return, but that was okay with me. To my horror, when I read the (very) fine print on my receipt, I discovered Metro Mattress does not accept returns!! It's my bad for not having read the agreement more closely - though the salesman never mentioned the no-return policy, which is out-of-line with most other retailers. Had I been aware that the mattresses could not be returned, I would have looked elsewhere before making a decision. Very unhappy experience!

    My fiancé and I visited Relax the Back today with no appointment needed. We were looking at the…read moreHuman Touch Super Novo and the OCHA M.8 chairs. Doug helped us immediately (I had called earlier so he remembered me from the call). He put us in both chairs to try out. I started with the NOVO first and then tried the M.8. Doug allowed me to try out another massage feature on the M.8 (so three massages total). While we were testing the chairs, he told us all about himself, the company, the massage chairs, and the massage chair companies. Doug clearly loves what he does and is extremely knowledgeable. He was not pushy whatsoever and he actually told us to come in next week to try out the chairs again before we decide on a chair. Seriously, this is the best customer service I've had in years (if ever). We will be back next week to try out the chairs but opposite of how we did it this time (just to really get to know each chair and their functions). We have done a ton of research on both massage chairs so we know that no matter what we end up choosing, it will be a great choice. Side note/tip: if you are looking at Relax the Back in Greenwich, they only carry to M.8. Take the extra time to drive up to West Hartford and compare it to the Super NOVO. The showroom may be small but it's always good to try out the chairs before making a big purchase.

    I'm not a big review person, but feel the need to write one for this company…read more We ended up at their Newington showroom on a whim late one night (saw an ad for a couch they had on sale for my boat). While browsing we stumbled onto a large modular sectional that we loved. We needed furniture for an addition on our home and this would fit perfect. We had to get some measurements of the room before we could pull the trigger but after a couple days we came back, figured out our layout and made the purchase. We were given a 4-6 week lead time, however after the purchase we stumbled onto the Yelp and BBB reviews. Oh boy!!! It seemed to be mostly 1 star and lots of complaints of long lead times, damage and getting the run around. We held our breath but began preparing for the worst case scenario. At exactly 5 weeks, we got the call for delivery (7-2 window). Later that day my wife was texted the delivery window is 7-11 and they would call 15 minutes out (which worked perfect for us). This morning they called at 6:45 and were in the driveway at 7 on the dot. The delivery guys had everything wrapped well, in the house within a half an hour, assembled, garbage removed, and even had a few more pillows than we expected to get. Everyone's experience is different, but I did feel the need to post ours, as after the delivery this morning, we are more than pleased with this company. They even threw the black panther statue on the ottoman in my photos because my wife loved it! I will most be getting that other couch from them as well, and would recommend them based on our experience.

Lovedseat was damaged due to movers. Had to wait another six weeks to get the love seat. Kitchen chairs put together wrong have to come back to use drill to fix them. Had to send one of the table chairs back due to scratches in the seat. They order me a new one six weeks. The nectar bed installed wrong by the movers. Had to call warranty service to order right parts for the bed. They are going to come out and install the parts. Had to call US furniture customer service many of times kept explaining to different people what was going on. They won't answer you in email ever big headache trying to get the furniture fix. Once you buy the furniture they are not inclined to help you as much. Even if they have my couch piece ready I still will have to wait until they have a delivery for my area. Meantime I have a new couch in my living room with a noticeable big piece missing.
