When I visited the first time, I asked to have a look at the kennel (or a comparable sized one) in which Phoebe was going to be staying. For some reason (maybe she - the front desk receptionist - told me it was because they were being cleaned? I can't exactly remember.). I was not able to check them out. This second time, when picking up Phoebe, a new customer came in and someone - whom I supposed was the owner of BB&B - took her right back without question. It may not be their general operating procedure, as it is with many other boarding kennels; but, I was told that we would be sent a photo of her on her first five-day visit. In fact, they offered. That didn't happen. It's not something that I expect from a kennel; but, more and more kennels are sending daily updates via a photo or two showing pets playing or just having a good time. I think it's a great way to reassure pet owners that their pets are comfortable while owners are gone. On this second visit, I reminded them that they never provided me with a photo for the first visit; and, I was assured that it would happen this time. Again, it didn't happen. I left 12 Wuffes (hip/joint supplements) for six days with instructions that she was to receive two per day. (Even left two extra just in case we didn't get back as scheduled). Out of the twelve, 10 were returned. This means that they were given to Phoebe only one day. NOT ACCEPTABLE. I was trying to really like this place. With both a five-night and a six-night visit, boarding isn't cheap. And, I certainly don't mind paying for it, but, when it comes to my pets when I'm not able to be around them, it is comforting to know that they are in a safe, comfortable place where their health needs are being met by staff, especially when provided with meds and instructions. Just reviewed my online invoice to find that I WAS CHARGED $9.90 FOR PLAYTIME THAT I DID NOT REQUEST. I had earned free pool time. I figured, as did another reviewer of BB&B, that since most kennels allow dogs to be given socialization time, that this place would work that way as well, but, apparently that is NOT the policy here. I do a lot of traveling, but afraid I'll have to find a different kennel boarding option from here on out. read more

This was my first time having my dogs groomed with this place and I will not return. The absolute worst part is that they groomed my dog's fur so incredibly short under his tail that he has HORRIFIC razor burn, to the point of it being extremely SWOLLEN and INFLAMED. He has not eaten or drank in two days since his appointment, and has been throwing up. He is flinching each time we pet and check his body, which everytime we inspect his body we see MULTIPLE other areas where his skin was cut or fur so short all you see is his irritated skin. Ended up taking him to the vet and he has an infection, was out on antibiotics and steroids. read more

Overall we are very disappointed in the condition we picked her up in as well as the service (or lack thereof) provided so will never bring her or any future pets there again, nor will we recommend this place to anyone. We've used this place before several years ago and things were great but this time it seems all they did was the bare minimum, if that. Our dog lost quite a bit of weight and we were given no indication that she wasn't eating, she simply wasn't given enough food and she was also very dehydrated. Her bed came back smelling like chemicals, she was not given any of the treats we provided, nor was she given any of the extra amenities, like play dates or belly rubs, that we asked for (at least we weren't charged for those things so we assume she just didn't get any). We also asked her to be groomed, we were told she wouldn't get in the tub so they didn't bathe her, some of her nails were clipped but it looks like she was quicked and they stopped. She has been groomed before and loves baths but I understand she was stressed and they didn't want to force her. I would recommend doing a lot more research and asking more questions before choosing where your loved ones are going to stay. read more

Bed Bath & Boring So, I'm going to try and be fair. We took our took in for the first time. The facility is very nice from the outside. Very clean. The buildings look in good repair. The entry building has a cool pet atmosphere inside, the girl behind the desk was pleasant. All looking great. So, I asked, will he get a chance to play with the other dogs? Nope. He had a nice 4x6 indoor kennel -- awesome -- with a door to go to an outside dog run where he could, apparently, see other dogs (also trapped in their boring cages/dog-runs). The last 3 dog kennel service places we have used always let the dogs get out to play with each other. I just expected that. I asked the girl, so, he's just going to sit in his kennel until we come to pick him up, with no chance to interact? This doesnt make me very happy. I think she replied, "Im sorry" At that point, being too late to reschedule with someone else, we were rather stuck. So, we left him -- I wasn't worried about his safety -- and went to our concert. We had planned to pick him up around noon the next day. Instead, we got there at 8 when the doors opened to break him out of the fancy prison we'd put him into. Now, to be fair, as I scanned their list of optional services I did see that you can pay for playtime. Someone will take your dog out and play with him for 15 whole minutes -- for $8. they had a whole list. If you have a ton of cash, you could arrange a great stay for your dog. We went home, called another place for the next 3 bookings (that we had used before but it is much further away) and booked him into there. My dog, Sugar, has been coming for both daycare and boarding for a year. She loves all the people and the male dogs they put her with. She has issues with other females and smaller dogs. They take her issues to heart and go the extra mile to make sure she loves her time there. She also has had baths there. They always do a really good job. read more

I have boarded my dogs here for several years and have always been pleased! So, when my new dog was driving us crazy, chewing on and destroying everthing we owned, and biting constantly, I gave the training bootcamp a try. I dropped Bentley off for 7 days and the changes in him are miraculous! He no longer chews or bites or jumps. He follows commands and has become a member of the family that we all can love and interact with. I questioned if the investment would be worth the outcome, IT WAS! Took my sweet pup here yesterday for grooming. If I could give a 0 star review, I would! This was my first time here. When I brought my dog in, it was chaos. All the dogs who aren't being groomed at the time sit in cages barking loudly in the same area where the grooming is done - seems very dangerous to have this, as stressful situations can make dogs act out of character and around sharp objects. It was worrying. We asked if there was a way to pay to have our dog done quickly, as we had been told about this option previously and she is older and stressed by those types of situations. One of the other groomers interrupted our conversation and extremely insistently and rudely told us that if we wanted that, we should have brought her in first thing in the morning because it's "just not possible at this time of the day". Ok... but then why did we bother making an appointment, why the hostility, and why weren't we told this in the first place? Leaving your pup with a mean groomer isn't the most comforting feeling. I left hoping that my dog wouldn't be the punching bag for my apparent indiscretions. I left my dog there with them (even after the uncalled-for attitude of the blonde woman) against my better judgment because she needed to be groomed and my usual groomer had surgery recently. When I got my dog back, she had been shaved EXTREMELY close to her skin. Ok, none of these issues have been deal breakers, but they just kept coming. Last night after being groomed, my dog was whimpering, trembling, and licking herself constantly. I took her to the vet this morning and the vet said she looked to be razor burned in some places and that her outer anal glands had been expressed incorrectly, leading to huge amounts of pain for my pup as the inner glands became inflamed as a result. She could not really even sleep last night, and kept adjusting her position to try to relieve her pain. It was heartbreaking. We did not ask for her anal glands to be expressed, nor were we asked before they did so. They never said a word about it to us, even to tell us they had done so when we picked her up. They obviously have no business doing a medical procedure like this because they have no idea how to do it safely and effectively. It's crazy how they can bill themselves as professional groomers, yet apparently have to shave my dog instead of brushing her out, then shave her in a way that hurts her, AND additionally injure her enough that I have to take her to the vet. Professional? I think not. I will NEVER take my dog back here because I don't trust them with the health of my dog. I had a bad feeling when I arrived, but unfortunately ignored it and had to pay to have my dog see the vet the next day because of this place. Having a mean attitude and an unprofessional/scary environment is one thing, but physically damaging my sweet pup is another. We will not be back. read more

I was picking up my dog one afternoon from his extended weekend boarding at this facility. I had previously scheduled an appointment for him to get a bath, have his anal glands expressed, and toenails trimmed and filed. I get there to pick him up at the designated pick-up time, and I arrive in the lobby, and the receptionist called the groomer to bring him to me in the lobby. This young inexperienced female groomer who couldn't have been older than 17, tosses him to me in my arms, and he's wet from his bath. Groomers are not supposed to give us our pets soaking wet! In addition to this, this teenage groomer hands me his bed and it is covered in feces! It was not even given to me in a bag nor was it laundered. The responsible thing to do would have been to dry my pet after his bath, launder the soiled bed or simply place it in a bag. The right thing for them to do would have been to give me a reduced rate or even a refund!!!!!!!! UNACCEPTABLE read more

I have not found another groomer that I like and trust as much as BB&B. We also board our poodle here maybe 2-3 times a year. I trust them and usually have no trouble booking a room. Last minute booking will limit your options, especially around holidays. The only complaint I have is that our poodle and his blanky were soaked in doggy pee when we picked him up once. He was in an indoor/outdoor run, and couldn't figure out how to use the doggy door. We usually have him bathed before pick-up (recommended), but were in a hurry to pick him up this particular time. The staff is happy to give updates if you are worried about your pup or have questions. read more

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about this place!! This is where we board our dog, and have his grooming done as well. The staff is absolutely exceptional! Each and every person is incredibly friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. You can guarantee your fur baby will be spoiled rotten here! The facility and amenities are absolutely outstanding, and I must say quite elite as well. Our dog is getting up there in years, and when he's here he's full of energy and doesn't want to leave when it's time to pick him up lol!! It is out dated, smells awful, and looks nothing like their website's pictures. I sent my dog here for daycare so that she would be able to play and socialize. She was kept in a kennel the entire day. I called to see when she would have play time and they told me from 12-3(which is already insane considering every other dog daycare that I have taken her to allows them to play almost all day long), so I drive by several times during these three hours and they were never outside playing. This review is long overdue. I've boarded my 2 large dogs here more times than I can count and I've never been disappointed. I'm balling on a budget right now so can only afford to board them in the outside units (other units are very reasonable I'm just out of town a lot) and I've never doubted that they still receive awesome care while boarded. I LOVE that the staff is female and all the ladies I've met have been wonderful. My boys can be pretty rambunctious when they're excited and staff still greets them with open arms whenever I drop them off. I wouldn't trust any negative reviews as they are the FURTHEST thing from rude or unprofessional. I've watched staff deal with multiple unruly dogs that others have dropped off and even saw a staff member get bit by a dog and she totally kept her cool and handled the situation lovingly. Had a grooming appointment at 9:30 this morning. Arrived at 9:15. She's asked what time I wanted to pick JoJo up and I answered 10:30-11:00 because my appointment was 9:30 to 10:15. Was told that she needed to stay 3 to 4 hours and that was their policy. I ask why have an appointment and why not post that so I know. She said everyone knows and for me to stop screaming at her. They canceled my reservation within 3 hours of me dropping my pet off after I booked with them almost a week in advance.

They love my large dog and he loves, loves, loves them. I took him yesturday for a play day and bath. He was so happy and ready to go back there this morning when I was leaving for work. I will be talking him back next week. He also has stayed there while we went of vacation. I called to check on him and again they were so nice and told me stories of things I know he did. I will say this place is beautiful and seems to be a dog paradise but the grooming was not up to par for my dog. We are new to the area and were trying to find a new groomer. I will say I have a chow and I know they are not the easiest to groom but at our old groomer we only needed to go about every 3 months. The day after our dogs grooming here she was shedding and not a little bit either. Maybe it's just our experience but we will not be returning for grooming. The place is beautiful though. read more
