They had an excellent selection in their showroom of stone plus they had a nice clearance department out on the lot that you could look through yourself. The young man that helped me in the showroom was pleasant and efficient. The young man they sent out to measure and do the template was excellent. He said he had been working for 20 years doing this. And the crew that they sent out with the quartz to install and cut the holes for the sink and plumbing fixtures were excellent. It was the same stone, but with a different name that I was looking at at Menards. I believe I got a comparable price with service that I trusted. There was no way that I was going to trust Menards with this portion of the project. The pictures show the countertop installation with temporary plumbing fixtures. The bathroom is only half done.

John was precise and professional when taking measurements, ensuring accuracy for the project. Freddy and the installation crew did a fantastic job--efficient, skilled, and courteous throughout. I am so happy with the final product, and I highly recommend Twin Cities Discount Granite. I will definitely use them again for future projects!

From the first meeting with Heidi, to the final product. They were professional, showed up on time and delivered an amazing countertop. Actually am writing this review regarding the installation by Dominic. He was simply the best. He called to let me know he was running a little late and told me when he would arrive (think he was within 5 minutes of stated time). That in itself was so respectful and kind. I've worked with a large number of companies and their staff. Dominic one of the first to ever take the time to let me know. Usually they show up sometime within 3-4 hour time frame company promised. If they call it's usually "I'm here in front of your house!" What a gentleman! Was done in an hour. Perfect installation. Could not have been more thorough in explaining care and maintenance. Left the room spotless. Seriously, I never write reviews. But he was impressive. Even looked at some paint samples and gave me honest opinion, so much appreciated. If you are wondering where to buy Cambria or another quartzite product, Select Surfaces is the place! Vicki L.

What a total waste of time and a scam…read more They promise you a 2 minute quote online, I spent a ton of time texting, talking on the phone, then had someone come to my house only for them to tell me they don't do the work I clearly was requesting. Horrible. Don't waste your time.

I worked with Five Star Bath Solutions for a bathroom remodel, and while the installers themselves…read morewere excellent -- professional, respectful, and easy to work with -- my overall experience was mixed. The biggest issue was with the consultant who sold us the remodel. He strongly recommended what he called a "locker room-style" faucet setup, but never disclosed that choosing this option would completely remove my ability to take cold showers. The system he sold us permanently blends hot and cold water, so the water never gets truly cold. If I had known that upfront, I would have absolutely chosen a different option, even if it cost more. Losing the ability to do therapeutic cold showers is a serious quality-of-life issue, and now correcting it will require reopening the wall and paying another plumber to redo the work. The installation team was great -- no complaints at all. But what was supposed to be a two-day project stretched into over a month because the company failed to provide their workers with the proper tools and materials. During that extended delay, I received more than a dozen messages pushing me to write a review, even though the job wasn't finished yet. It made the whole operation feel disorganized and high-pressure. I want to be clear: the workers are fantastic, and the final look of the bathroom is solid. But the lack of transparency from the consultant and the major functional issue with the faucet setup leave me extremely disappointed. If Five Star Bath Solutions is willing to make this right and help restore my ability to take cold showers, I would be happy to update this review.

Really appreciated how Eli would check in about all the little decisions and offer simple options that will make for easier maintenance. And the bid was the best overall value. See this owners response to my review on Facebook…read more What is hard to believe is that he posted this rude, inaccurate, response, vs just trying to do what should be incredibly simple and proper business etiquette. And he had the gall to discuss my character ??? I said nothing rude or false - he seems happy to do so. Hopefully that alone tells folks something. I have reviewed many businesses as 5 star, including another tile company I have even taken the time to send in letters of appreciation to city employees, etc. ! Remember, there are many sites to post reviews and this is only 'one'! But do note, I will also happily provide a 1 star review for those that totally fail to do the work needed/planned, or in this case, just decide they want an open ended contract that nobody should ever sign, and if you don't agree, drop the whole thing. I needed a bathroom modified as a handicap roll in. Just questioning a clause in his contract that left it wide open for any modifications/changes , even though we had things open and could clearly tell there were no 'hidden' issues, was his reason for deciding not to do the work!? There was never an 'apology' as he stated, but instead he chose to tell me his 'business partner', who he never introduced me or was discussed, had decided he did not want to do this project As an example, here is the last response John sent prior to when I ONLY requested that he remove the clause he placed in the agreement he wanted me to sign where he expected me to agree to a wide open statement that allowed him to bill for anything that may be found while performing the contracted work, even though the walls were open and we could see there was nothing potentially 'unexpected' - e.g. there was no unexpected damage to my home's structure --- Hi Peter, Attached to this email is a revised estimate with new Change Orders or line items you requested included for your project. Please take some time to review the revised estimate to make sure everything looks correct, nothing is missing and no mistakes were made. If you see anything that should be corrected please let me know, if everything looks good confirm that you have received this email. Thank you. John Shar (Owner/Operator) Above All Tile & Stone Inc. --- Instead, he felt it was more important to post his rude response on Facebooki, and my wife WHO CAN NO LONGER WALK was forced to wait for me to find a new contractor, when ALL I ASKED WAS FOR HIM TO DO WAS TO LOCK INTO THE CONTRACT TERMS WE AGREED UPON. - I wasted many hours of my time trying to get the owner, John, to just enumerate in writing what was covered and what was not since we were completely gutting a bathroom and tiling the floors, wainscoting, installing a vanity, etc. After he provided the quote, I accepted it and he had promised he would be able to start doing this quickly as my wife has rapid onset Alzheimer's! Then today, when all he had to do was provide the final contract to sign, he sent a note stating he was not going to live to the contract since he wanted to keep leaving it 'open' where he could find the next thing that 'wasn't' covered , even though we were quoted $12,643.36 for the job and I had indicated this was fine, but I just needed him to indicate this was the 'full' job. He wanted us to commit to the contract but leave it open for anything else they found while performing the work! We already had the plumbing , etc. exposed so there was no question that there were no 'hidden issues', but he then started bringing up 'what if's' about if they found issues with the sheet rock, etc. and those things would not be covered, etc. Etc!!! NO Professional business expects people to just say 'sure' I will just keep paying you for anything you want' when we already have a contract enumerating everything!!!
