The bank is amongst the list of places I don't really care to go to if I can help it. The bank of course joins the same list as the hospital, court, DMV, post office and other places you don't really frequent, but when you do again, you're not exactly smiling ear to ear. Here at this Wells Fargo though, as soon as I walk in, they always greet me. Every time. Even if there is a line, one of the tellers assures me they'll be right with me. They don't even have to do that but it's nice. When I get to the window, the tellers, are all friendly and helpful. I've dealt with three different tellers and each time they're patient and thorough with my business. I've only been a Wells Fargo a short time and don't know if they're changing their business strategy, but this particular branch is pretty good with their customer service.

So I hung up and called one of the branches just to be told they couldn't help me. I will never use this crappy credit union ever again!!!!!! I have lots of money and perfect credit! I have had Jorian help me a couple of times and she has always taken care of the issues, promptly. I am the POA for my sister who is the owner of these accounts and live out of state. They easily understood the transactional needs and have made it easy for me to navigate the process across state lines. This is such a contrast from another bank my sister has money at. On one occasion, the representative offered assistance in reinvesting some money in a different type of account as well as in some short-term certificates. This helped us get a better return on my sister's money. We are grateful for the assistance, especially during family crises.

I could spend an hour telling how much I hate this bank…read more 1. They make decisions that are best for Wa Fed, not their customers 2. No honest fraud protect. No one monitors questionable activities l They hire a third party company, and I've been ripped off and only half of the stolen money covered after I raised hell. 3 . Monthly banking fee if your poor. 4. They like to sit on checks to collect interest, and hold them so you get overdraft fees. 5 don't cover ATM FEES from other banks at all 6. And it doesn't matter if you know the CEO of the bank or the district manager. They will always side for themselves rather than the customer 7. Customer service is pointless and can't help you unless it's to tell you shit you already know, and how to get a new password for online banking. There is no one on the frontline that has any power when the manager is gone from the branch to a district managers meeting on a business day. Bottom like don't learn the hard way like I did. These people live in the Twilight Zone. Don't "go there" with them. I will explain…read more Moving proceeds from a matured CD to another bank, because rates are better in the latter, should be a routine transaction. Banks do this many times a day. As a retiree, I need to live off of interest, so I have to move money to where it will earn the most, and Wash Fed is behind the curve...badly, I might add. So I approached the Wash Fed Branch Manager to let him know the move of money from a matured CD was coming in a week, and he assured me it would not be a problem. The day the move was supposed to happen, first, the "back office" (Wash Fed team who handles the movement) balked and said they needed a "custodian signature" to move the money. The receiving bank virtually never receives such requests, but jumped through hoops to get the signature. Then, the next day, some woman (who sounded like a lost lamb) from the Wash Fed back office called me to say the money can't move because she can't read the order to move it. That call should have gone to the Branch Manager and not to me. By then I knew that this can bog down into an interminable quagmire. If you asked 5 different back office people what the proper procedure was to move the money, you would get 6 different answers. So I called Wash Fed downtown. They advised me that they do not meet with customers for escalations. They advised me to work through the Branch Manager, who in this case was a nice twentysomething kid who's being jerked around by the back office. Then I finally got to an "arbitrater" downtown who was able to cut the noise and get the money moved. Thing is, after trusting Wash Fed with a piece of my life savings for 5 years, I'm not supposed to have to jump through hoops, pound on the table and threaten litigation to get them to do what should be a routine thing. Well, you may say, they have a right to impose reasonable controls on IRA money. Yes, agreed, the key word here is "reasonable". At AlaskaUSA, by contrast, they issue you your IRA check on the spot in 5 minutes or less, with the new bank as payee rather than you...so the rules are fully respected (i.e. you cannot cash the check) yet the customer is not inconvenienced. At Wash Fed, the back office lives in the Twilight Zone, a world apart from the reality you and I know. In the Twilight Zone, they can impose any condition and delay they want even if it deviates from industry standards, use any procedure they want at the moment, and play God with your money. And believe me, you may think your money is yours, but it WILL NOT move until you do everything that God has told you you must. And no, you cannot talk directly with God, if there's a real issue, though an arbiter might be persuaded to intervene on your behalf. But that works if and only if God agrees to go along with their coaching, so start praying. Save your self respect, and your hair, and give your business to someone who lives in the same world as you and me.

Wife originally got the home loan on her own through Sterling before the merger, but then I added onto it. We went through all their silly forms and hoops and despite that they kept refusing to let me manage the loan or get info when I called in claiming I was not authorized. Even after we got it fixed after a couple years it "reset" and then they refused to fix it. Miserable experience and no 24/7 bankers on the phone for support. Local: people at this branch acted helpless to do anything and clueless on how banking worked. Wouldn't help us with the above issue or even paying our mortgage. We'd walk in the store and they'd stick is in a corner with a phone to their corporate and tell us to solve it ourselves. Worse, when my wife was parked in their parking spot some idiot came out and yelled at her and told her it was for customers only.
