She explained everything clearly, sympathized with his situation after being taken advantage of by a dealership, and offered great advice on what to do next. She helped him refinance his car and apply for a credit card, and both were approved! His car APR dropped from 21% to 6.49%, which lifted a huge weight off his shoulders. Helpful tip: If you're refinancing your car with them, make sure your auto insurance deductible is $1,000 or less. They do not allow more than that. We didn't realize this beforehand and had to scramble to switch our Progressive plan (which we had a $2,000 deductible at the time). We now use a different insurance with a $1000 deductible . So be prepared to either adjust your insurance or switch providers. You have 15 days to prove you have insurance on the car you are refinancing with BECU or else they will automatically add insurance to your refinancing bill. so get it done so it's ready when confirming your insurance info with them to avoid extra charges or any other problems. Thank you, Holly, for being so thoughtful, professional, and caring you made a stressful process feel easy. You rock!

I wish I could give zero stars…read more I've been a member at Cascade FCU for over 30 years. The same account I closed today is the same account my parents opened for me as a child. My belief was that a small, local credit union should offer a different kind of service and personal connection than the faceless, national banking institutions. That belief has been proven wrong more times than I can count in the last few years. The folks at Cascade are unhelpful, uncaring, and arbitrary - all at the detriment of the clientelle they are supposed to serve, and I closed my account today because of it. If you are looking for a credit union - look elsewhere. Just go to BECU. Edit: In response to the "response". The "rules" discussed here are actually just Cascade's own made up rules - nothing to do with FDIC or regulatory rules. This evidenced by the fact that I walked out of their branch around 4PM, drove to another financial institution, opened an account, deposited the same check(s), and funds were immediately available before 5PM.

I moved to Idaho in 2021 and tried a few credit unions out in this state, that frankly didn't come close to CFCU. So weird that recently another institution was throwing credit at me. He asked for a piece of mail to prove I'm me. After Ben the worst teller scanned my drivers license which wasn't enough apparently. So I show him a piece of mail and he made a face and said that wasn't adequate that I would need a utility bill.
