I called the 1-800 number yesterday to take care of some business, and due to the hold time, I requested a call back, which I received about 25 minutes later. The first rep I spoke to, Maria, was very kind and helpful, and cheerfully got me over to the right department, which is where I encountered Ida. Ida was *wonderful*. She expressed professional concern for our situation, offered solutions, and explained everything very thoroughly... and as if that wasn't enough, she did so with a genuine smile in her voice. Much appreciation to Nuvision for the employees they hire, because if the two I spoke to yesterday are any indication, this is a fantastic company, with good people working for them. Not to mention this branch is suppose to be for the IBEW members, but they have now closed for saturday. how does that benefit the union members who work monday-friday? the Union hall needs to stop giving rent reductions for these guys. read more

I have been a member of Denali for over 6 years and loved it prior to the merger with Nuvision. Recently I found a fraudulent charge on my credit card and went to the Kent branch to file a dispute. I was told that with the new credit card processor I couldn't file the dispute in the branch, but could online. Inconvenient. I then went online to denalifcu.org and couldn't file it through Denali's site, but had to through a third party site. Before I could use that site however, I had to physically have my card so I could register it. More inconvenient. I then filed the dispute online, but it didn't give me any notification of whether or not a new card with a new number would be sent to me and the only contact option was a phone number, not an email. When I called I told the representative I had already filed a dispute online and that I just needed to make sure a new card with a new number would be issued to me. The representative kept saying he'd help with filing the dispute no matter how many times I told him I had already done so online and even had a confirmation email that it was filed. I eventually just went along with it and by the end of the call was told a new card and number would be mailed to me. I also thought it weird that even though I told the representative that I had the card in my possession, at the end of the call he told me that if I found my 'lost card' to destroy it. This review isn't directed towards staff at all, they are all great. The credit union as a whole however has become a huge disappointment. They have failed to deliver on the promises they made when trying to gather member support for the merger. Their processes now are much more inconvenient than they were before which is a step in the wrong direction. read more

I've read bad reviews about this branch and that needs to change. Yes, sometimes waiting can take a bit; however, the service is amazing. A manager named Laika did me a solid. She assisted me with obtaining my first un-secure credit card in my entire life. What I'm getting at is, they share core values of setting and achieving my goals. This branch helped me build my credit and I'm beyond grateful for it. We have a great relationship! Try finding that at other banks (LOL right). read more

This is an excellent Credit Union for financing vehicles, I went to the branch in the Kent area... they financed my truck, work Van and motorcycle ... very competitive rates, efficient operation, but with this Rx comes a great caution ....do not apply online because your application will be routed anywhere in the Northwest, Midwest or wherever they have a branch !! --extremely frustrating to have to deal with an out-of-state banker when you're trying to get financing ...make sure you go into the branch nearest you to apply for a loan ----- four stars for that 1 flaw read more

I pay my car payment online. They took my payment and applied it to a savings account that I have never used. Two weeks later, I am contacted by their collection department. They want me to give them a payment over the phone. Thinking it's a scam, I ask for a name and number. I call Denali to find out what is going on. I told them this was payed way before it was due. I pay my bills. They look into it and find out it's their mistake. They will make the correction and drop the late payment fee. Drop the late fee?How grateful I am. I WASN'T LATE! Not even an apology, I called back to make a complaint. I was told a supervisor would call me. No call. Thanks for nothing! Great customer service. read more

Alaska Denali FCU was an outstanding bank until it merged with nu-vison out of California. My debit card has been locked several times do to ordinary on line purchases. Its like there is an algorithm that shuts off your card. As I am writing this my card was locked out (its sunday) and trying to get ahold of people is a joke! Living in the bush Alaska, one should not have to deal with an outfit like this. We even maintain a high savings and checking balance, not that it matters. Alaskan's - Use an Alaskan Bank, its better for Alaska. Forget about commie california! read more

Stay far FAR AWAY! If you have a auto loan with them DO NOT bank with them just because of that. They will block your account. No way to get your money until you pay for auto loan or show proof of insurance. I had insurance. Emailed the insurance binder and they still didn't get it. My car note was not late. But within a 3 week period reported my account delinquent twice and blocked my checking account twice. Ending of December 2016 and middle of January 2017. Both of my jobs are direct deposited into my account. Funds are never available until 9 am. That's the first of all my years of banking. I hate Denali. I'm closing my account and trading my car off so I don't have to deal with them. read more

Horrible bank!! Fees on top of fees. Rude and deceitful customer service. Stay away! Use an online bank that can afford good customer service reps. I have a car loan through them and every time I've had to call has been a nightmare. Nobody there knows up from down and I ended up being lied to multiple times. You have to call over and over and make sure they did what they told you they already did. Seems like they don't train their reps just so they can charge you more fees when the reps mess up. read more

I live in Fairbanks, Alaska but am in the Kent area indefinitely while my husband goes through cancer treatments.
