My grandmother is dying and is suffering from dementia. I was in town to visit her, probably for the last time. I always gave her yellow roses since I was a girl and I wanted to buy some for her in the hopes it would help her remember me. I'm immunocompromised and thus wear a mask when I go out in public. This shop does not approve. I was repeatedly told to speak up and that I couldn't be heard through the mask, which is a lie. I speak loudly and the shop is quiet. The only ambient noise is the refrigeration unit. There was nobody else in the shop. She heard just fine. After a couple minutes of this "I can't hear you" game, the woman flat out told me to take off my mask and made a joke about germ paranoia. I told her I am severeIy immunocompromised and was told by my doctor to wear it in public. She informed me he didn't know what he was talking about. A prime example of the Dunning-Kruger confirmation bias. A foolish woman who knows little about medical issues, but thinks she knows more than physicians who studied medicine for a decade. I have ordered several times from Becky's Flowers. Each time, each recipient has expressed how beautiful the arrangement was and how long the flowers lasted. In addition, Becky's sends what I ask for. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I've used MANY florists over the years. However, Becky's is the only one I can trust. This latest arrangement did not disappoint. I explained what I wanted, and the result was that the recipient said that the arrangement was very colorful and bright. I ordered an arrangement from Becky's Flowers over the phone. They charged me $65 for a small bouquet of daisies and carnations!! I even sent them pictures of what I wanted and they looked nothing remotely close to what I had sent them. I called over to them twice and left messages, and no one has returned my call. The flowers I ordered for my mother's funeral arrived late. The service had almost started when the delivery van pulled in with music blasting. The flowers were wilted and brown on the edges. Later after the ceremony I called to complain and the woman who answered was rude and dismissive. I would never ever buy anything from this shop again. Plus I heard later that the owner is some kind of anti-government whackadoodle. To me that's just another way of saying in-America. I love my country, and I love fresh flowers. I could easily give Becky's Flowers five stars for their friendly attitude and eagerness to help over the phone to this out of town customer, but I wasn't paying a rather large sum for a friendly chat. I was paying for flowers for a funeral I was unable to attend. I called this past Friday for a Monday funeral, but I did specify that I wanted the flowers in place for the Sunday afternoon visitation. I was assured by the designer that it would be no problem to have the arrangement completed and delivered in plenty of time. I had a lengthy conversation with the designer with my specific requests regarding the arrangement, which was to be a standing spray of red roses.I was willing to spend quite a bit to assure that it not look shabby or cheap considering I live quite some distance away and don't know the prevailing pricing for the area. I explained that I would not be at the service and asked the designer if it would be possible for her to send me a picture via email or text of the final product and she assured me it would be no trouble and she would see to it personally. Considering the arrangement was to be delivered on Saturday afternoon, per the designer I spoke with, I waited until Sunday afternoon when I still had received no picture and emailed them with my concerns. I gave them my phone number again where I could receive texts, pictures, as well as my email address. Now here it is late on Wednesday night and I have had no response whatsoever. You would expect a quick "Ooops! My bad!" from even the least professional out there, but the only thing I have to show for trusting this operation is a sizable hit to my bank account, and that matter will be addressed tomorrow. I think I have given them plenty of time to respond and/or rectify the situation for these remarks to be fair. At this point I have no reason to believe they delivered to promised custom product. read more

Received a long distance "get well" bouquet and to be honest it was a disappointment. Ironically, I had thought that I might give them a try because I am new to the area. As a result of what I received I think I will go elsewhere. The bouquet was simply pathetic.
