I went with 45 women from our development. When you walk into the restaurant, we were greeted warmly from the owner, Katie. Her mom does the cooking and she has a baker who gets there at 5:00 am to start making the breads. Many of their counter displayed - jarred items come directly from their home country.
We started out with a savory, fresh salad of tomatoes, cucumbers and thinly sliced red onions. We were served, their classic cheese pie, Khink Ali, which is like a wonton, with 3 types of ground meat, eggplant, beef stew, chicken kabobs and a most delicious dessert.
They make everything fresh for you. Nothing was prepared ahead of time.
While we were there, Katie, had a video of her country and was explaining pieces of it. This was very intimate, since we took up the whole restaurant. While we were there, people did come in to purchase bread, which is what they are known for, along with other items to take out
