I've dropped off donations at this location countless times over the years, and this was the first time I had someone walk up to my car and offer to help me unload my donations and kindly point me to the correct bins for where to place things (electronics, household goods, clothes, bags, shoes, etc). He also asked if I wanted my bags back and if I needed a donation receipt. The last time I donated items here, there was a guy working who practically screamed at me "No hangers!" to which I responded, "Sorry, I didn't know." - I put the bag of hangers back in my car but he definitely didn't need to yell angrily. So this visit was 100 times better, thanks to Deshawn. Goodwill, I hope you acknowledge the great and kind employee he is! Friendly tip: I had fragile wine glasses, pint glasses, and ceramic mugs to donate and I wrapped each item in packaging paper and bubble wrap and placed them in an open box. I was told this was a great way to donate fragile items so they don't break. The back parking lot where the donation drop off is located can get tricky to drive in/out of if there are more than few cars back there. It's basically a small loop with about 6 spots in the center. And when people are walking back and forth from their cars and the donation bins and cars are trying to exit or pull in, it can get dicey so a little patience will help!

I myself would go in like every other day if not every day during the week just to see what you got. I always find cute clothes. I always have a cart full of stuff to try. I went recently and there is no more dressing rooms?? I had a sweater and jeans on and I had to put all of the clothes in my cart back. Me personally, I cant buy stuff without fully trying it on first to see if it fits right. What a bummer. I have to find another spot to thrift at now

Marina works so quickly and efficiently that starting 3 months was actually a bit early- 2 months would have been sufficient for me. The first fitting appointment was a bit of a whirlwind so it helped to have additional set of eyes as well as pre-meditation of what I wanted. After the initial alterations, there was only one additional minor alteration needed for my wedding dress. She did an excellent job fixing up the beading, with the overall fit, bustle, and changing the lining, and her prices were more than fair. I did have to ask to try on my dress after the 2nd round of alterations, as that was not part of their usual process. Marina holds onto the wedding dress and steams it right before you pick it up, which should be closer to your wedding day, so plan accordingly. I took my reception dress home after the first alterations, but after practicing for our first dance, I decided I wanted some additional security to keep the strapless dress up. I brought it back to Marina, who easily added an elastic band and clasp to the inside, and I was able to dance away comfortably on my wedding night.

Marina tailored my wedding dress (very big dress, not easy). My mom, sister-in-law, and I also purchased 3 of Marina's custom handmade gowns. The detail, fabric quality, and silhouette is simply incredible. Marina isn't just an alterations master. She is truly an artist in dressmaking. I spent COUNTLESS hours pouring over online stores, buying, then returning at least 10 dresses. I almost gave up all hope until I found Le Caprice. In literally a second, my mom and I both found our perfect dresses on display. I cannot say enough good things about Marina & her wonderful team. Thank you so much for making our weddings so special.

I had a deeply upsetting experience at Goodwill Silicon Valley store, located at 1125 De Anza…read moreBlvd, San Jose, CA 95129, with an employee named Brisa, who claimed herself as the store manager. After a mistake was made with my 10% senior discount (most seniors come to the store on Tuesday for the same reason), Brisa explicitly agreed to rescan my items. I spent time unwrapping everything to make it easier for her, only for her to return with a hostile attitude and refuse to honor the discount because I 'didn't tell her beforehand.' When I held her to her word, she became incredibly rude and even threatened to refuse me service. Ironically, Brisa mentioned she is currently studying Forensics. You would think someone in that field would value facts and integrity, but she completely went back on her word. She certainly has the 'bad cop' interrogation style down - she failed the basic test of honesty, integrity and professional conduct. Truly 'Bad Will' at this store today - 3/10/2026.

Like other local Goodwills, this store has removed all fitting rooms. People are lined up to try things on in front of two mirrors, and then DEFINITELY not taking the time to return unwanted clothes to their correct area, so the store is a complete mess. For example in a section labeled women's size Medium tops, there are probably only 50% M tops. The rest are other sizes, jeans, Men's clothes, etc. I really enjoy thrifting so it's really a shame they can't figure out a solution for fitting rooms - I'll be going to HopeThrift instead from now on.

No reply from my last reviews and no care for their regular customers. I used to love this store…read moreuntil a thief stole my sweetie's phone here about 5 years ago. We filed a police report. I gave my phone number to this Goodwill and to the police station. Nothing happened! My sweetie was able to track his phone to what looked like a nearby half way house. I took a photo of the house that I still have saved. My sweetie did not want his life in jeopardy so decided to not confront the thief. So with a heavy heart, he remotely deleted all information from his phone and got a new one. Not once did this Goodwill ever contact me. They never even replied to my last reviews but I am sure some staff have seen my reviews. Ignorance must be bliss when businesses disregard their customers or the safety of their own personal belongings while shopping in their store. Phones are so important nowadays as well as they carry essential information from their users that can have value for ID theft. And, theft is theft, no matter if a customer steals from a store or a customer steals from another customer who is shopping in the store. It is still wrong but the only one that this Goodwill seems to be concerned about is when a customer steals their merchandise that is for sale even though the majority of the merchandise they receive is donated so no cost to them. And the strange thing about all of this? The police could have easily caught this serial thief. I have a photo of where the phone ended up, the staff knew the thief as a regular and could describe him as they told me what he looked like, and they have security cameras. But I guess, they do not care sh.. about their customers in incidences like this. Only if their business is affected in someway. So I hope the reviews I write yearly at least gets noticed both by the staff who know deep down more should have been done if only by an ethical standpoint, and so customers know to keep a close eye on their belongings while shopping here because this store will not help them if their own personal belongings get stolen even when the thief could easily be caught. If even then my yearly review of this particular Goodwill makes less people inclined to shop here and they lose profit, or perhaps this thrift store gets a bad reputation, so be it. I do not care....just like they don't care about their customers. This is the worst thrift store! Update: Actually how this store approached this theft could be considered illegal but it is complicated- there is a law that states if a store was aware that a recognizable customer stole from another customer and the store did nothing, they could perhaps be held accountable. So I see why the staff totally ignored any further actions afterwards as if they even tried to set things right - checked video footage, investigated phone tracking, etc.. The staff knew what this apparently serial thief looked like and surely a staff person saw the thief run out of the store but did nothing (perhaps because they were told to not intervene in situations like this) it would prove they were aware of this serial thief and therefore could legally be sued, and perhaps be required to pay the cost for the phone that was stolen- here is the answer I got on Google AI (copy and pasted)- AI Overview A store can be held legally accountable if a customer steals from another, but only if they failed in their duty to provide a safe environment, such as neglecting known security risks or failing to intervene in a visible, ongoing crime. Liability hinges on negligence--whether the store knew or should have known of the danger. Key Considerations for Store Liability: Negligent Security: If a store has a history of crime and lacks reasonable security measures, they may be liable for injuries or thefts, says Stein & Shulman, LLC. Failure to Intervene: If staff witness a customer behaving dangerously or acting suspiciously toward another customer and do nothing, the store could share responsibility, according to Stein & Shulman, LLC. Foreseeability: The core question is whether the store could have reasonably foreseen and prevented the incident. Duty of Care: Retailers have a duty to keep their premises safe, which applies to preventing harm from other customers, notes The Finley Firm, P.C..
