Springs Hardware - Owner purposely moved his vehicle closer to mine so I wouldn't get in

SPRINGS HARDWARE OWNER IS A MEANIE (LOL)…read more Today, I decided to visit SPRINGS HARDWARE to buy salt and a spreader. If you're familiar with the parking lot there, it's absolutely terrible when it's busy. Unfortunately, my car was over the line a little since the two cars beside me were double parked. Once I left the store, the owner of the store came in a ram truck and parked beside me. He then approached me and started talking to me very rudely. If that was my car, asked me why I was parked like that. But I told him that unfortunately, all cars were double parked, and it was the closest spot to the store. He rudely told me to move my car and park it better. I responded by telling him that he could ask me more politely. He responded that I was the owner here and that I had 15 minutes of parking or he would call a truck to tow me out. I ignored him, and he responded, "I better not see you again here, you A**hole!" He got in his truck and proceeded to move it closer to my car so that I wasn't able to get in my car. I waited to see if he would move his car after he unloaded what he had, but seeing how he was already, I knew he wouldn't. So, I had to squeeze through my front door. I'm actually glad I didn't buy anything because I ended up taking the drive to Riverhead Building Supply and purchasing what I needed there. I hope this helps anyone who decides to purchase from SPRINGS HARDWARE. I've seen many reviews online on Yelp that say how rude he is. I used to go in and purchase many things for my business and for fireplace auto collision. I'm glad to say that I will be taking my business elsewhere if we need anything.

Poor quality, awful service, missed appointments, dishonest communication…read more Monday, April 21 - Horizon is a no show for an initial assessment appointment, calling us to cancel the appointment during the window in which they were supposed to show up, due to a Salesperson being sick. We reschedule the appointment for the next day. Tuesday, April 22 - Initial walkthrough and assessment of the project; Upon noticing that there were other Window Treatment quotes being obtained in addition to Horizon, the Salesperson from Horizon is very clear that, based on the assessment and blinds selected, this project would take a TOTAL of 3 weeks from today's first assessment to final installation. Thursday, April 24 - 50% deposit paid to Horizon and allegedly, Horizon orders the custom blinds for the project. Wednesday, May 14 - We follow up for an update because there has been no communication from Horizon for 3 weeks since the 50% deposit was paid. Note: Horizon said the entire project would be completed in 3 weeks. At this time, Horizon confirms that the blinds have been ordered but won't even be delivered until May 27th (over an entire month since the blinds were "ordered"). At this point Horizon alleges that they never said the whole process would take 3 weeks total and they weren't willing to do anything to speed up the process. They then offered to buy paper temporary blinds as a placeholder due to the inconvenience. Tuesday, May 27 - Horizon calls to confirm that the blinds have been delivered, but they're so busy they don't have availability to install the blinds for another week. Monday, June 2 - The Horizon technician arrives to install the blinds. Fail. The blinds were measured incorrectly by the Salesperson during the initial assessment, and are approximately 1 foot to short. Horizon must reorder a new set. Thursday, June 5 - Horizon confirms that the new order has been made. Thursday, June 12 - Horizon calls to schedule the reinstall of the new/reordered blinds, but aren't available for another week to install. Wednesday, June 18 - Technician is scheduled to arrive between 3pm and 4pm. We get a phone call from Horizon at 4:45pm to tell us that Horizon isn't going to show up today, and they'll call us back when they have availability. Thursday, June 19 - Horizon calls at 10am to tell us that someone will call us back today around 12pm to let us know if a technician can make it to our apartment to complete the reinstall at some point today. Horizon calls at 12:30pm to confirm that a technician will show up between 3pm and 4pm. The Technician shows up at 3:30pm and installs the correct blinds. Summary: 8+ weeks later, 4 total appointments (2 entirely missed by Horizon after we rearranged work schedules to be at home and available for the Horizon appointments), and we finally have blinds. Not worth the headache. There are dozens of other, more reliable, options.

I don't usually provide a review on services, meals or hotels but in this case I am happy to spread…read morethe good news. I am doing some renovations in my Queens NY apartment that I've had for over 40 years. I needed to change out an old door because I wanted to change the way it opened - no longer wanting it to open into the room but instead to open into the hall to allow for more space in the spare bedroom. I spent days trying to find the right door for the space - checking places like Home Depot, Lowe's, boutique establishments, etc. Then I stumbled upon My City Door. The sales person I spoke with was Boris. He answered all my questions and really put me at ease. He even followed up with me the day after the service to confirm that all went well. The installer, Eugene, was awesome. He too put me at ease when I was switching out the old door. I had several questions, which he answered for me. He also put very thin special nails into the floor's wood sill. You can't even see them! After each step during the installation process, he vacuumed (with his own high-powered vacuum) and continuously checked the levels of the door and sides using a special machine with a green lighted beam. The results are amazing! It looks great and opens and closes easily and smoothly and feels very secure. If anyone feels anxious about replacing or adding a door to their home I would highly recommend using this company. The results looked the same as those that are displayed on their website. Five Stars or a 10 out of 10 only scratches the surface for their professionalism, courtesy and quality of their products. I'm one happy customer! Patryce

I stopped at another place in Southampton and left right away because I could tell it was just beyond what we could afford. All custom everything. On a whim decided to stop at Hamptons Carpet One and it was one of the best decisions I made regarding the ADU! Eugenia greeted us and gave us an honest, up front assessment of our needs and what would work. We never felt pressured. We walked away so much informed and decided to go with engineered flooring instead of the LVT. We let our builder know about our visit. He was just as excited about the product we found. The next thing we know, we're ordering 36 boxes of engineered wood flooring that looks BEAUTIFUL. Excellent quality at an affordable price with great service. These peope know their stuff, and even when I called, and spoke to other staff, it was like talking to family. So helpful. I can't recommend them enough! I'm grateful we have a resource like them on the East End. They serve all sorts of clientele. Again, are very knowledgeable and although we didn't need them to install, they offered a great package if they did. You have to stop in at least once in your journey for the right flooring. Thank you Eugenia and the staff at Hamptons Carpet One Floor & Home!

Told us Bath fitter has their own plumbers and plumbing would be included even when we mentioned how old the plumbing and house was. We scheduled dates for the work. He asked us specifically if it would be ok to work on the Saturday after they start in case they needed an extra day to finish. (Later when they needed that day, Bath fitter told us that they do not work on weekends and would have to finish on Monday!) Bath fitter hired a third party plumber to do the plumbing and wanted to charge us an extra $2,300. This is after they made a horrendous mess by not using any protective plastic to stop the dust from traveling all over the entire house and leaving the debris to settle on everything! The air in the house was so bad you couldn't even see two feet through the dust near where they were working and we had to take my sick, elderly mom out of the house to get fresh air during the work. This is not how this type of work is supposed to be performed. They also broke a porcelain toothbrush holder that was attached to the sink tile and original to the house. Another issue is that the water now pools in the shower basin after a shower because it was not completed properly. This was supposed to be an easy alternative to a bathroom remodel for elderly parents who didn't want to have stress and disrupt their lives. It was the complete opposite.
