A couple of years ago I fell on very hard times and lost everything. I was about to be homeless and heading to a shelter in Riverhead to try to rebuild my life and recover from the devastation. That same day I got a call from a new office manager at Garden City Dental Group telling me my monthly payment did not go through. I explained that my account had no money in it, I was unsure how I'd survive, I was homeless and could they please give me some time to get back on my feet. My total outstanding balance was less than $250. My payments were $50/month. The response from the woman I was speaking to was so over the top that I wish this exact situation on her multiplied. She said - "well can you pay $25?" I explained I had less than $10 to my name. She went on, - "can you ask someone in your family to loan you the $50 for your monthly payment?" Excuse me?? So my family who is concerned with getting me food and shelter should instead let me starve to give a DENTAL OFFICE $50?!??!?! Are you absolutely beyond all sense KIDDING?? This "quality" of patient care - or human care is beyond reprehensible. If this person still works for this office I cannot in strong enough words emphasize staying away from them. My life was worth far less than their $50 or waiting a year for me to get back on my feet - instead they asked to me starve so someone could feel empowered at their job. Bravo! I've told everyone I know. My family has told everyone they know. I'll shout it from the rooftops. Shame on you!! My life is not worth your ego trip!

So between a few great reviews about them from friends and colleagues of mine and with my own research on them; so found it to be a perfect match. I walked into the office Tuesday and I immediately can tell it's a place with a prestigious uphold. Very up to date interior design and clean cut atmosphere. Most importantly the amazing staff they have working. They are very professional and proficient and knowledgeable in what they do. Monica was the one who took care of my needs walking in for my first appointment. She is extremely kind and informative and prompt. You can for sure tell she knows what she is talking about! I seen her answer calls while helping both myself and another patient on the phone in a timely matter (which to me being in the health field multitasking is an absolute must). The dentist was amazing as well (not the kind that rushes you because they overbook ! but quite the opposite) he sat there and explained to me everything and made me feel less nervous. I would not recommend as the crowns were not made correctly and needed to be highly adjusted. Both crowns should have been a visual for the dentist to see they were not straight, uneven and sharp edges, when putting them in. Terrible experience. No well informed information before a testing procedures, they tell you a week later something wasn't covered and then charge a highly excessive fee for records which is not within the federal guidelines for electronic copies of records or images.
