We saw Instagram ads for this place and knew we had to go! Wow...really really good! Excellent service and food! The owners were there and not only super attentive but really nice and helpful! Our food was amazing. I of course had to try the pasta in the huge wheel of cheese and it was incredible! This is a small restaurant with limited parking so I highly recommend getting reservations. Cannot say enough good things about this place!! And cannot wait to go back!!

This experience was insane. I legit felt like I was transported to Italy. The place looks super small from the outside but it's so unassuming - so much space in there AND an outdoor bar. We asked the waiter & owner to surprise us and they really did. They brought out all these dishes starting with exquisite white wine (to match the seafood spread) to an authentic Caprese salad to a charcuterie board (with paintbrushes for different honeys & cheeses) to tuna tartare (INSANE never had anything like it) to authentic shrimp scampi (with squid ink pasta) to tableside farfalle to table side tiramisu. We ended the night being led to their outdoor bar where the rest of the patrons were chilling before leaving. We also got to see the wine cellar which seemed like stepping into another world. What a wonderful small business. Will recommend to everyone & be back A LOT.

Outstanding Italian food... in Florida? Absolutely After years of searching for authentic Italian cuisine in the Sunshine State, a few local friends of Italian descent let us in on their local best kept secret. We were absolutely not let down, in fact we were blown away! REAL Olive Oil on the tables. Warm crusty bread instantly brought to the table. Fresh hand-made pasta. Soft tender veal. Outstanding service. Roses brought to the women after dinner. Every aspect of dining at Beccofino was absolutely IMPECCABLE. However, the best part of our Beccofino experience came AFTER dinner having home-made Limoncello with the owners on the private cantina behind the restaurant. Beccofino is more than a restaurant, its an experience. Why are you still reading this? Hurry and GO!

Tiramisu

This restaurant is my favorite authentic Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is perfect for intimate dinners such as date night or anniversary celebrations. The food was delicious and the experience is what ties everything together. The table-side Cacio e pepe was creamy, cheesy and comforting. The highlight of the evening was the table side tiramisu. Best in Tampa!

What a gem in South Tampa! Mozzarella Caprese and spring mix salad were fresh. Shrimp special was prepared table side with flambé, flavors were amazing. Grilled mix...lamb, ribeye, quail... all meats were cooked perfectly and delicious. Atmosphere was fun, very Italian. Owners were entertaining. Don't sleep on this spot. Worth a try!!

Wow! BeccoFino is definitely an immersive dining experience! Reservations are a must and I recommend the first seating at 6 pm. Open Wednesday - Saturday. A non-assuming house with limited parking and we arrived 10 til 6 and a line was forming. Doors unlock at 6 sharp. Everybody was excited and looking forward to our dinners! One by one we were seated and large groups in front room and smaller groups in back room. Decor could use some updating but deeply rooted in Italian heritage. The lead waiter gave the group the specials of night along with the new menu. I ordered the special prawns cooked table side with orange and cognac with a side of asparagus wrapped in prosciutto. Hubby had the Elk chop (never seen Elk available in the area before) with yucca mash. The meal was outstanding and every bite a treat. I had the best brute prosecco 3 times followed by the homemade flan for dessert. The owners are delightful and service was excellent. Don't be in a hurry. Meals are prepared as ordered and a small staff so patience is needed but worth it. No liquor but amazing wine selection and regular beverages. A fun night was enjoyed by all!!

I'll say, I was nervous to come here based on some of the reviews. But hey, if you're the type to ask for a side of ketchup with your filet mignon, just skip this place. I'll start with the ambiance and service :: it's a hole in the wall on the side of macdill. It has a charming, old Italian feel. I felt like I was in my grandmothers dining room. The staff were kind and gave great recommendations. It's definitely a family affair here and you definitely need to make reservations in advance. Now the food :: spectacular from start to end! I've been on a mission to find the best Italian in Tampa bay and this place is up there. Our starter, the hot Calabria spread was superb. It was a salty, spicy salami delight on fresh fluffy bread. Up next were the mains. I had the pappardelle al tartufo per the recommendation of our waiter and it did not disappoint! Had a taste of the lamb chops. They were tender and delicious. The chocolate mousse and tiramisu were the perfect night cap. The whole dinner was a full experience. We still talk about it to this day. I highly recommend if you're looking for an intimate Italian experience...it's more than just a meal at BECCOFINO

Definitely overpriced. The food quality is not consistent on two occasions two months between ordered the same dishes and it tasted nothing like it did the time before. Salty. Small portions, huge $$. The staff is nice but wouldn't return. This pasta dish was like 30 $40 and it had barely any noodles, no protein. Honestly, if someone ordered that they would definitely be hungry after getting that entrée. I forgot how much the steak was but that's what you get. I mean it was expensive. Ordered a few more dishes, but didn't even care to take pictures. The muscles app were so salty.

If you're looking for an authentic Italian place, look no further! The husband and wife own it and have such an intimate vibe. Everything we ordered was delicious and the pasta was so fresh! Definitely has excellent quality food. I'll definitely go back and try other dishes! Just to note, they serve wine and no hard alcohol. What I ordered: - Tagliere: 4 cheeses, 4 charcuteries, bruschettas n pate', fruits, confit, Honey - Polipo Striato: Imported Octopus boiled in herbs Sicilian Style Charbroiled, in our citronette foam over pickled seaweed - Half-dozen Oysters - Michelangelo salad: Spring mix with pine nuts and shaved parmigiano - *Speical - Lobster spaghetti - Tortelli del Mugello: Homemade stuffed ravioli with savory Venison/wild boar Tuscan ragu - Sicilian Cannoli

We started with the signature mozzarella cart, which was an experience in itself. The freshness and quality of the cheese, heirloom tomatoes and basil were remarkable, and it set the tone for the rest of the evening. The house bread with the lemon butter was delicious and impossible to stop eating. The tagliolini al ragù was perfectly balanced, with fresh pasta cooked to the ideal texture and a rich, deeply developed sauce that never felt heavy. The tortello all'uovo was exquisite--silky pasta surrounding a luscious, perfectly cooked egg yolk, creating an incredibly luxurious bite. The branzino alla Ligure was flawlessly prepared. The fish was delicate, moist, and beautifully seasoned, allowing the natural flavors to shine while the accompaniments complemented it without overpowering the dish. Every cocktail was equally well crafted and complemented the meal beautifully. What truly elevated the experience was the impeccable service. The staff was exceptionally attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm without ever feeling intrusive. Every detail was anticipated, each course was timed perfectly, and the team demonstrated the level of hospitality you expect from a world-class dining destination. What impressed me most was the consistency. Every plate arrived beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, and thoughtfully seasoned. The attention to detail, precision, and respect for each ingredient made every course memorable. ROCCA delivers the kind of dining experience that reminds you why Michelin-starred restaurants are so special. From the flawless execution in the kitchen to the impeccable hospitality in the dining room, every aspect of the evening exceeded expectations. If you appreciate authentic Italian cuisine executed at the highest level, ROCCA is an absolute must-visit in Tampa. I can't wait to return and experience more of this exceptional menu.

Had a lovely anniversary dinner here…read more We shared the crab meat pizza as an appetizer. It was good, but I think like a drizzle of some chili oil would have made it incredible. The pollo marsala and pasta alla norma were very good as well. Portion sizes were larger than expected, so I brought about half of my pasta home. We also split a pitcher of the Sicilian Sunrise, which was good and not overly sweet. Parking was easy to find in the (free) lot across the street. I made a reservation on Open Table for 2 p.m. My husband and I live in the South Shore area and one of our sons lives in St. Petersburg. For each of us, it's a 45 minute to an hour drive to get to Casa Santo Stefano. My husband (the Dad whom we were celebrating) and I arrived @ 1:45. We get to the door with about 10 other patrons and the door is LOCKED. After a couple of minutes, the door opens and we're told the restaurant is closed due to an "emergency" but that the restaurant may open later that night and anyone with a reservation was notified. I checked my phone and received an email from Open Table stating " the restaurant canceled your reservation" at 1:10 p.m. Everyone was already on the road and we don't check emails while driving. Why not post a sign on the door instead of having patrons stand outside in 100° heat wondering what happened? We didn't see emergency personal, a fire truck or ambulance, so thankfully it wasn't anything catastrophic. Knowing the Columbia and Casa Santo Stefano are owned by the same family, we walked to the Columbia, they graciously honored our reservation. We had a great meal even though it wasn't the Italian Sunday pasta we were anticipating. Someone told me Casa posted that they were open at 4 p.m. on Monday. Good thing we didn't wait around on Sunday. Casa Santo Stefano, how about doing right by your disappointed patrons? How about comping a meal for Dad or least a complimentary glass of wine, coffee and dessert so I can change this 1 star review to a 5 star!

The food is homemade, authentic, and the prices are very reasonable given the quality. We started with the calamari salad 5/5 which is non breaded calamari , cucumbers , red pepper with lemon and olive oil. It was enough for 2 to share and was light and fresh . The eggplant Parmesan 4/5 was rich and comforting, not too heavy on sauce and cheese which I prefer. The beef lasagna with pink sauce 5/5 was so perfectly tender , hearty, cheesy, and clearly made from scratch ...one of those simple but perfect dishes! The chicken Marsala 5/5 came with pasta and broccoli ...super tender and paired beautifully with its mushroom Marsala wine sauce. We ended the meal with the tiramisu 5/5 , perfectly creamy, light, and not overly sweet. The espresso flavor really came through, making it one of the best I've ever had. A few things to know: the restaurant is very small with limited seating, and they don't take reservations. They also don't allow kids, so the atmosphere stays quiet and intimate. they're only open for dinner and take out seemed busy. There was also a standard 20% tip no matter the party size which I was fine with as service was outstanding! Osteria Natalina is a hidden gem. I will definitely be coming back to try more dishes!
