She used a hot pack for my back while she was working on my legs, placed a warm towel on my feet while working on my back, cover my hair w/a towel so oil wouldn't reach it & used the oil I provided (some therapist won't & I have allergies). She even asked if she could use her lotion on my feet b/c the skin there is different. She even wiped off my oil bottle w/a cleaner! What??!! Details people details:) When you go to her facility it will be in an office building with a bunch of offices. She has a quaint studio office. If you are early for your appt she might not be there yet so the door maybe locked. But don't fret she will be there about 5-10 mins before the scheduled appt:) She has a 1 page short form to fill out. Then just relax, enjoy & prepare to be healed:)

The offices are in a pretty big space on Broadway in NE. It's much nicer than the closet size massage room that I have experienced at other facilities. The rooms at Numinosity are large enough for the massage table and large couches for relaxing before and after treatment. I saw Gina James for Reiki massage. I highly recommend it. The prices are pretty average for a one hour massage. About 60. I haven't seen any of the other practicioners, but the atmosphere was so nice and staff so friendly that I will probably be going back very soon.

During my first massage from Laura, I was skeptical. It seemed like she was going really light on me and I wasn't experiencing the pain that I had gotten used to. She said it was cuz I was sooo tight and she had to gently release the tightness before she can get deeper into the tissues. And she was right. I got up from the massage table and my legs felt so light. There was room between my leg muscles and I no longer felt like I was carrying two blocks of steel in my legs. I look forward to going back!

With every session Sara takes time to ask questions about my physical condition and assess my massage needs. She then explains what she's going to focus on for that individual treatment. Throughout the massage she consistently checks in on things such as pressure, comfort and temperature. She is also keenly aware of what is going on with my body, and can find spots which I neglected to mention that need attention. She asks for feedback once the session is over and often checks in on my condition over the next day or two via email. In my professional life I have the fortunate opportunity to visit 4 and 5 star spas and resorts around the country. I often take advantage of the massage services at these locations. During each treatment I find myself comparing the treatment to Sara's; and rarely do any of these much more expensive experiences come close. Check her out. I'm sure she'll rub you the right way!
