You have to realize that Sparta is a small town, and this is a small town restaurant. Everyone here is local, and there aren't many people. While yes the service was on the slower side, they do take care of you. I literally saw a server help a mother warm up her baby bottle to feed her baby. (A terrible server could care less) My server did a good job of making sure our group had their drink refills, and all our food. I wasn't expecting to be there for almost 3 hours, but in the end we all had fun. The food was actually really good for a place that is more a bar vibe. I know Pizza is in their name, but the appetizers and Wings won me over. The Buffalo Chips were really flavorful and filling. I love the different hot sauces they had, and their home made ranch was CHEF'S KISS. The wings were really crispy and well battered. If I ever get a chance to come back I would love to order plain, so I can drench them in their ranch sauce. The Pizza, while it wasn't perfect. The dough was giving sour dough and it was dry. The toppings and size were generous. I wished I ordered a medium. I liked eating it with ranch sauce, and buffalo. Easy fix for the dry dough. Do try their draft beers. I am not much of a drinker, and it can get intimidating trying to pick a drink with an extensive menu. However you can ask the servers for their recommendations, and you can actually try their beers, and you won't get stuck with a drink you hate. Do come here if you love to sing. They have open mic karaoke. I really liked that people from various tables were all going up taking turns singing. Looks like this town the folks are fun, and not at all shy. Plus its is Family friendly. If you don't like loud music and fun, well then avoid this place. I had fun eating, and singing. This place gets a 4, because the experience was fun. It wasn't a perfect 5, only due to the pizza dough and the slower service. Other than that, if I ever come back to Sparta, I will be stopping by for a bite.

This is easily the best pizza joint in all of Ashe county and you would have to travel a ways to find better Pizza. Add that to the heartwarming story of how they struggled since Helene and finally reopened and this is just a place that if you're anywhere near this area you must come and get a pizza. Now I will say they're still not at full operation and you should be prepared to wait but as luck would have it there are some amazing shops that we love in the area there's an amazing supermarket and you can go next door and enjoy some coffee or tea or you can head to Molly chompers and get some hard cider but it'll be worth the wait for your pizzas. We had the chicken dinner pizza and the barbecue chicken pizza and the flavor of both was just extraordinary the only thing I wish is that the crust were a little crispier but taste is way more important to me. If you're ever in the West Jefferson area or even the Boone area it will be well worth your time to travel to this awesome little city and spend some local dollars and help out the economy this is one of those mountain communities that just doesn't know how to say give up.

In 2023, Ayers was convicted of child rape (carnal knowledge of a child) and abduction. He was released from prison last year, back into our community. Upon his release, Creek Bottom Brewing began employing him to work in the brewery--as a known convicted child sex offender. In February, while working for Creek Bottom, Ayers was arrested AGAIN for ANOTHER sexual assault, strangulation, brandishing a firearm, and abduction by force. It got a little media attention as the "Valentine's Day Rape." Recently added to his list of charges is possession of child porn and sexual abuse of an animal. Where does Creek Bottom come in, beyond offering a job to a known child sex offender? William Ayers' parents are the owners of Creek Bottom. They made the choice to employ him at their brewery, along with their many young women employees and the families who visit the restaurant. Our dollars spent at the brewery unwittingly went directly towards Ayers' paycheck. Many community members feel that Creek Bottom's owners have made horrendous decisions that endanger our community by choosing to have their son employed at the brewery, and by supporting/enabling him in other ways. It is readily apparent that Ayers' parents employ pricey high-powered out-of-town attorneys to defend their son from his charges. (Courtroom interactions between those attorneys and the father of William Ayers reinforce this, with the attorneys pulling Daddy Ayers aside for extended conferencing before making motions.) A couple of days ago, Ayers was offered bail set at $900,000. That means that if his supporters/enablers come up with a $90k bail bond agent fee, or $900k on their own, Ayers will AGAIN be released into our community. All of this is a matter of public record: past convictions, state sex offender registry that showed Ayers working at Creek Bottom until his latest arrest, ownership of Creek Bottom, recent charges, and ongoing court case with private legal defense. All members of our community can and should make their own INFORMED choices here. Sending your money in Creek Bottom's direction could literally help lead to this individual being released into our community once again. Endanger the wealth that is supporting him, and we may be able to make a real difference for community safety. Please don't unwittingly contribute to a William Ayers legal defense fund or to bailing him out to walk among us again. If you see fit, stand by us in this effort.
