Amazing authentic puerto rican food without the tourist price tag. The food was delicious, and came out extremely quickly. Despite how packed and busy this place always is, you can always count on your food being served quick and a great service.

Mofongo Relleno de Camarones en Salsa Criolla at Bebo's Cafe, San Juan, PR.

We come to Bebo's every time we visit Puerto Rico and it's always great, but not tonight. We had several Appetizers, Salchichas al Vino and Calamares Fritos. The Salchichas al Vino were delicious, but the Calamares were extremely chewy, so much that we had to return them. The waiter did his best to rectify the situation by getting us fresh ones, but although there was an improvement, they were still chewy. I wasn't that worried about the Calamares, because I had Mofongo Relleno de Camarones en Salsa Criolla coming, but sadly it was another disappointment. I didn't get that garlic punch I was expecting and even more to my surprise, it was lacking in flavor. It was Valentines Day and the place was packed, so maybe the cooks were overwhelmed, but Bebo's really missed the mark tonight.

This place was extremely busy! Everyone from everywhere seemed to be trying to eat here. Not just tbe tourists, but locals alike. All the food we ordered was excellent and we could hardly move afterwards. We got a smattering of everything. Mofongo, skirt steak, guisado (beef stew), and yucca balls for appetizer. Both the Pina colada and mojito were excellent as well. Our server was extremely nice and spoke English as well as Spanish. The whole feel of the place makes you feel like you stepped into a place that USED TO be a well kept secret.

Bebo's cafe was recommended by our uber driver. A favorite of locals. It would be considered down home authentic cuisine. Long lines confirm how good this place is. Service is good, most people are bilingual and can help you through the menu. Everyone around is friendly and talkative. Noisy and light atmosphere. The lights are all the way on in this place. It's bustling.

The food was great! I got a few different options for my table. We shared everything and everyone liked everything. The service was a bit slow but I also went when they were a little busy. Great place for good food by the beach. The devote and service was diner st

Nice simple place with good food. I got grilled chicken with rice and beans, and a beer. Beer was nice and cold (yay). My friend tried the pork that was good and also my other friend enjoyed his sandwich. Liked how simple the place was

Where to start. Think cafeteria. The floor was sticky, tables close to each other with a number of them waiting to be bussed. But the real disappointment was the food. Everything except the rice and beans and empanadas came out at barely above room temperature. The ropa vieja was sent back as it came out with someone's hair in it, and the batata frita was not batata. The flounder was cold, overcooked and not tasty. Now i was al we already skeptical when lobster empanadas for $7 came out with 5 pieces- I can't say there was lobster in it or what it was for that matter, the fried cheese was ok just not up to temperature. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else to eat. It was plain gross. The drink was ok once stirred to be cold.

Had lunch at Bebo's Café in San Juan and it was so good! The food was delicious and came out really fast, which was perfect for a quick lunch. Our waitress was super nice and made us feel welcome. The place isn't fancy, but it was packed, and that tells you everything you need to know about the food.

I had my first mufongo and it was delicious! The slow roasted pork was amazing. Great service and a fun atmosphere of locals and tourists.

Everyone kept telling us we couldn't leave Puerto Rico without trying this café -- and they were absolutely right. They had a little bit of everything on the menu, and everything we ordered was delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Since we weren't familiar with some of the dishes, they took the time to explain the menu and gave us great recommendations -- and they did not disappoint! It gave me a IHOP/Denny's vibe! I ordered the pork chops and they were so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Honestly, I didn't even take any pictures... that's how good the food was. I was so hungry and so ready to eat that I completely forgot to snap a photo!

The staff were nice, there were many locals there and the café had a cozy feel. You could tell it was a favorite of the locals. I particularly did not enjoy it. To be food puerto Rican cuisine as a whole leans a little more sweet so maybe that's why I didn't enjoy it but it is a very popular place and is a favorite amongst locals.

I actually visited Bebo's Cafe twice during my trip to San Juan - and that says a lot for me. While incredibly busy, I was seated almost immediately during both visits. My first visit was for a late lunch, and my second visit was for a pretty late dinner. The service was amazing both times, and the vibes reminded my of my hometown of Kissimmee, Florida. I ordered their pernil con mofongo both times. It was absolutely to DIE for. We also tried a handful of their empanadas, including the crab empanada which was just out of this world. I ordered a pina colada - and for the first time ever, they asked me if I'd like it with Baileys. BAILEYS?! Listen y'all, we've been doing it all wrong. While Rum is predominant on the island, this Bailey's twist has to be their best kept secret. This is how I'm having Pina Coladas from here on out. Prices are very fair. Portions are actually a bit ridiculous, but in a good way - SO MUCH FOOD. I cannot WAIT to return to Bebo's Cafe!

Line was pretty long. You had to wait in line to get seated at the table. It was fully packed. But when we sat down, service was pretty good ordered pretty fast. The food was very authentic and fresh and hot. The waitress spoke a little bit of English so she did explain what everything was. This is a very chill restaurant there were people coming in and out left and right . They have separate gender bathrooms .

The mofongo was really good -- better than any time we had it in the past or during the rest of our trip.

First off, Yelp and the Gustos' website say that it is closed on Saturdays, but Google Maps said it…read morewas open. We called and thankfully it was open. Not sure if this was because they were closed yesterday for Good Friday, but consider calling if going on a Saturday! The place was busy, but they were fully staffed and service was fast and our drinks/food came out quickly. A live band played outside, but it was acoustic and the volume was very reasonable. I wanted to buy locally roasted coffee beans for home and this turned out to be the best place to buy them. I bought two 8oz bags, $14 and $15 respectively. Compare that to 787 Coffee that wanted $30 for a similar sized bag (even more for their alcohol infused beans!). Gustos also sold 2lb bags of beans if you really need to make a lot of coffee. Sadly, the roasting date was not stamped on any of the bags. The cold brew coffee was good. The French toast was mediocre -- the bread was sliced too thin, with very little batter on the exterior, and zero saturation inside the bread. The fresh blueberries and grated coconut were nice, but the syrup tasted cheap. My wife had the Gustos and it was delicious. We saw others with avocado toast and it looked tasty too. We bought little bags of dried plantains on a whim at the counter -- turns out they were $3 each. Otherwise, prices were very reasonable.
