Waiting for the next trip to PDX.

I have gone through this transit center many times and I always find it clean and well maintained. A lot of passengers go through here every day and while there are 3 different train lines plus a multitude of buses that come and go, the center isn't bigger than it needs to be. This makes it easy to get to your connecting mode of transportation. My only complaint? No park and ride. I would use this center more to go places on the train if there was a place to legally park my car. T here are shopping centers nearby that have parking, but you aren't supposed to park there. There's no on-street parking close by either. I normally go through on foot or by bike, but it would help a car-centric suburb get on the train if there was a place to transition.

MAX trains on one side, buses on a loop in the center, WES train on the other side. Easy to navigate, thats all I look for in a Transit Center...well, that and not getting robbed, thats a plus too :)

Nice transfer center in Downtown Beaverton for MAX, WES and buses. Coffee stand is a nice touch. I wish my Metrolink Station had coffee !

Really wish they had a close park and ride for handicap people. Nice transit center. Anyone have an idea where one would be?

Terrible turn around - zero space to park and ride. Needs to be expanded and quickly.

Ask the Community - Beaverton Transit Center

Hi, Are there any public restrooms nearby? May have long commute in future. Thanks

None that I know of. The nearest one that is public and easily accessible is at Fred Meyer, which is a fair amount of walking.

I use a ride share app myself but for my client's first ride alone I opted to call Radio Cab because it is what the concierge at her community uses. The Radio Cab dispatcher was laughably rude. He angrily refused to give a driver ETA "I have no way of knowing! I don't want to lie to you." I explained that my client was a sight impaired senior citizen and told the dispatcher that she was anxious. He responded with another impatient retort. After waiting with her and her dog for one hour I gave up and installed Lyft on her phone. Nine minutes later a kind driver appeared in a beautiful, spotless, well air conditioned (it was 90 degrees outside) car. My client's Radio Cab arrived 45 minutes later, almost 2 hours after I called. Two weeks ago I received a frantic call from a resident at the same facility who was stranded at her bank after waiting over an hour for her Radio Cab. I was with another client so she had to be rescued my the community's medical transport car. How is Radio Cab still in business? Starting tomorrow, I will be helping residents install the Lyft app and giving one on one instructions to help them become comfortable with this far superior option.

The older I get the less I want to drive especially after dark during these cold, wet months. I grew up in Boston where using public transportation is the norm. Trimet used to be absolutely terrible and in many ways they are still not all that great. Two snowflakes sends the entire system into chaos. It's common to be on a bus and get kicked off to another bus for no apparent reason. And the bus you are waiting for will show up and immediately change signs for some other route. In most cities, this NEVER happens. You stand at an intersection easy walking distance from your home and in ten minutes or less a bus comes along. The bus takes you to a subway stop or a bus terminal where you can transfer to your final destination. Routes are laid out in a logical order and you don't have to study a map to figure out what bus to take to get where you're going. Trimet routes appear to be laid out by lunatics who were way too free with drug use. Getting back to WES and the Tigard TC. Nice terminal. It's open air so not that pleasant if it's really cold out. But at least it's a shelter. The WES train is pretty noisy but comfortable and FAST! Under 15 minutes to get to my destination. Would have taken over an hour going by bus. WES runs fairly frequently. I wish it didn't stop running to Beaverton so early but it is what it is. Ridership isn't that great so that route is probably a money loser. I'm happy that Trimet is finally upping their game. There's still the obligatory mentally ill rider on every bus and train so they have more work to do there. And there was some aggressive antifa type swinging around numchuks in a threatening manner at the Sunset TC so your personal safety is still a serious concern. But I'm seeing more security and fare inspectors so at least Trimet is trying.

Before the pandemic this stop was one of the busiest ones on the Trimet System. You got buses on one side and the train on the other. Normally if PCC was in service there will be a lot of students here. Other than that it's the commuters that want to leave their car at home that use this station. Back when I lived in Oregon, this was the go to place to ride the train. I didn't live far from here and just walked over to the station. When I went to transit center there was some security or Trimet Police that dropped by but they rarely show up to the area. I would not return to this station because it's much nicer in Tualatin. Drawback: Better hurry up because parking in this area can be really terrible. They will fill up before 8:30am so it's better to catch the 78 or 76 here.

We bought the tickets and boarded the car from upper level, entrance right next to OHSU Hospital. Ticket prices were $9 for round trip. The tram was really popular for locals, especially for the employees working at the hospital. The upper terminal had multiple lookout spots to see the city skyline and also up close watching the tram heading to the lower terminal. As we started heading down the hill, we saw stunning view of the city's greenery, houses, buildings and Willamette river. In the horizon, we could also see the snowy Mount Hood. The ride was about 5 minutes. At lower level, everyone had to exit the lower level terminal. Then we used our round trip ticket to enter the terminal again and board the same car. At the lower terminal, there was a huge parking stand for bicycles. Trip from lower to upper terminal was little longer, took about 8-9 minutes. Being a sunny bright day, we absolutely loved the short round trip for such a decent price.
