Our toilet tank was giving us all sorts of issues, but the main culprit for it leaking continuously was a failed rubber flapper...or so we thought. We almost went with another company but they charged a $90 service fee and couldn't give us a ballpark estimate over the phone. Not knowing if the job was $100 or $500+, it was hard to commit. After calling around, Beaverton Plumbing stood out- they charge by the hour with no service fee, were friendly from the first call, and were able to schedule someone for the next day. Our plumber, Paul, came by and swiftly replaced the flapper, noticing a couple of other failing parts as well. He recommended changing them out without being pushy, and the parts were very reasonably priced ($45 for a new fill valve and supply tube). He completed the work in under an hour. Unfortunately, over the next few days we noticed the tank kept refilling every 3-5 minutes, and we were losing gallons of water a day from what seemed like an unresolved leak. I called Beaverton Plumbing and they sent Paul back out, charging only a "continuation of service" fee rather than a full new hourly rate. After digging a little deeper, he found a leaky gasket and replaced it, and also fixed a wobbly flush handle that was affecting the fill. We were relieved not to shell out another $300, and this time, the issues were fully resolved. A couple of things worth noting: - They charge an $8 fee for credit card payments and don't accept digital payments. Their processing system seems a bit dated... our plumber had to call the office to relay my card info over the phone. - There's no tip option, which I'd encourage them to add. Tipping is optional, but it's a standard way to recognize service that goes above and beyond, and we would have loved to show Paul some extra appreciation. Overall, we were very happy with Beaverton Plumbing. Don't let other reviews scare you off. Like any small business, sometimes you just have to take a chance, and you might be pleasantly surprised. read more

My review is based upon the current Owner and his key plumber Jack. Today, April 2, 2025 - they both went out of their way to accommodate our somewhat complicated situation regarding our toilet replacements. After discussing the job and confirming what could be tried to remedy the flange problems, Jack got right to work and never stopped working until the job was completed. The Owner was awesome in making sure I was getting the best person for the job and following up with me to make sure I was happy. We still have more plumbing needs at our home and I plan to continue to work with Beaverton Plumbing, especially if Jack can be part of the mix. the Beaverton Plumbing company went bankrupt in Sept 2023. i was told by customer service of the new entity operating under the same name "Beaverton Plumbing" was that all they bought was the name, not the liabilities for past work. He said that they have no records of work done prior to the bankruptcy and therefore cannot back that work. (it's the same people so sounds like a shady deal to be able to keep the name of a 50 year old business without any legal obligations. I did see on googling it today that the city of Beaverton sued Beaverton Plumbing $300K a couple years ago for a major leak. they sound like a shoddy operation. read more

Refused to even provide an estimate for repairing a water leak (Feb 2022).

We utilized Beaverton Plumbing for a major repair to our facility recently and found great responsiveness, attentiveness, and courtesy. Well, today, we had a urinal malfunction overflowing our main restroom. We were able to shut off the mains and then had to make a choice regarding plumber. After consulting Yelp reviews, I saw the 3-star rating for Beaverton Plumbing and thought about going with other companies, but couldn't shake how well Beaverton Plumbing had done in the previous larger job. I called them and was given an immediate hack to get the urinal turned off so we could turn the mains back on. It worked! Then, Beaverton Plumbing worked a plumbing miracle by sending a tech over in under 30 minutes! I am still floored at how fast they were for us. I had a simple work done to replace a garbage disposal due to the leaking. Although I was pleased with the work itself (I have no problem with it so far), I was not happy that the guy came outside of the "window" and that I was over charged. The scheduled window was between 12-2p but the guy called me at 9:45a telling me he would be coming soon. I wasn't happy about that but it's better early than late so I told him he could come after 10:30a, so he did. The leaking problem was simply the disposal. The guy replaced the disposal and the whole work was done under an hour. When he gave me the bill, I was surprised to see there was an additional hour of work. (total of 2 hrs). I told him it hadn't even been an hour since he arrived. He looked offended and said it'd have to include the traveling time from the shop to my house. I didn't want to argue with him so I simply paid. Later I checked the bill and indeed, he claimed there was a traveling time of ONE HOUR!! I live in Beaverton, only 3 miles away from their place! So I called the office and they apologized for over charging me and said they'd send me a refund check. It's been more than a month now and I still have not received the check. I guess I'll have to call them again. To me, if there's such mistake, especially dealing with customer's money, they should have corrected it IMMEDIATELY. I was over charged 48.00 dollars because of the "emergency" time frame of my pre-scheduled appointment from a previous date. I had already turned off the water main and dissembled the inner cartridge from leaky shower handle. The brass case from Moen cartridge was stuck. The plumber used an extractor to remove brass case. I already had new replacement cartridge. I was charged 248.00 dollars. The plumber asked if I wanted him to place new cartridge. I replied you are the professional. Fyi, you can buy an extractor set at Lowe's for 9.98 dollars. Moen now makes plastic case covers instead of brass. What I found most educational, was that I never knew I was dumb! The plumber was a former french pastry chef and explained to me that my last name is french. I told him my last name is German. read more

I'd been without a stove/oven for a month and was waiting for an install still 2 weeks out with another company. My contractor recommended I call Beaverton Plumbing and they happened to have a cancellation on an appointment the following day. They provided a reasonable 2 hr appointment window (the other company required a 6hr window) and advised they'd call ahead to narrow the window the next day. The next morning I got the heads up phone call that the plumber was to arrive in a half an hour at 7:30, and he was here at 7:30 promptly. The work was done efficiently and the workspace was tidied up afterwards. Beaverton Plumbing replaced the handle on my toilet and it broke 6 weeks later. Called to see if they would fix it but was told the work was only guaranteed for 30 days. A brand new toilet handle shouldn't break in 6 weeks unless it was a bad part or improperly installed. I'm not paying them again to fix what they did wrong. If I have to pay a plumber to fix it, it will be someone else - they should not profit from their subpar work. read more

Stephanie was professional and courteous on the phone and was able to send us a plumber the same day. Steven called when he was on his way, arrived perfectly on time and had a great attitude. He went right to work fixing the broken pipe under our kitchen sink (no fun for anyone to work in confined spaces like that). He finished up in less than an hour, not only repairing the broken pipe, but also cleaning up the jumbled mess of hoses and plumbing associated with an old "hacked-in" water filter and newer dishwasher install from another company. Made an appointment for a plumber to come out. Was told by receptionist the appointment was to be between Noon and 2pm. Took a vacation day so I could be home all day for the plumber. No one showed up, no courtesy phone call. When we called at 2pm to find out when to expect the plumber, was told that the plumber came by at 11am, rang the door bell, and took a photo of the front door. When they sent me the photo of the door, it wasn't my door, plus the receptionist had written down the phone number wrong number after the number had been confirmed twice at the time the appointment was made. That was a wasted vacation day! I suggest finding a different company before using Beaverton Plumbing if you want competent and respectful staff. Purchased full house "toilet tune-up" from Angie's List and needed a leak identified. Tuned-up 1 out of 3 toilets. Cut a hole in the wall of the master bath to identify leak (because of the sound of water in the pipes from the main bath toilet which was never tuned-up!). Told us we couldn't have better water pressure in the master bath unless we replaced our pipes because of how old our house is (1970's). Completely incorrect as Sutherland Plumbing just came out and we have excellent pressure from Sutherland just replacing the shower assembly. Diagnosed the leak as being a break in the line between the main and the house likely to cost $5,000 (something was leaking a lot of water). Were supposed to let us know exact cost and schedule to get the repair done but never received a follow up. Sutherland Plumbing came out, correctly identified the leak as being in the external sprinkler line and cut off the leak at the source so we can fix when things dry out in the Spring. Conor communicated consistently, identified part and said we could buy direct to save both time and money and returned exactly when scheduled. I too will vouch for their amazing service!! Our house has some leaks where the water company suspected a main line leak. The gal that answered gave some really good ideas of what the possible culprits could be which I will be looking into. The main reason why I called though was our cold water turned completely brown out of no where. She pointed out that this time of the year, the water company tends to flush out the neighborhood water and long behold she was right; outside was a flood of water being flushed out. I had a kitchen sink/garbage disposal leak and had them come out to fix it. The plumber said it was an easy fix and while he did repair it, I had asked for him to take a look at the bathroom sink as well. He said his rate was higher and he would have his apprentice do that job and I would pay less. Well long story short, the apprentice didn't do it right and the plumber had to "fix" what the apprentice did wrong, so I ended up paying for the apprentice and the plumber to fix a leaky faucet handle. By the time they were done I ended up paying $400. And as they were leaving I was told they wouldn't "insure" the work performed on the bathroom sink, which I later found out why...whatever they did made the bathroom sink leak worse than it already was. I wish I would have read these reviews before calling them, but I will never call them again. Buyer beware...you will be overcharged. Oh, and they include travel time in their service call, so as they travel to your door you are being charged. read more

I found this company through online search. I called them. My appointment was 2 weeks out since they were solidly booked. Steven Ackerman Jr. came earlier than appointment time. He was very easy to work with, polite, professional, and proficient. He replaced my kitchen water faucet in less than an hour saving me quite a bit of money. The job wasn't easy since my old faucet was all rusted and removing it took some expertise and experience. His work was perfect. As an extra bonus to his client, he cleaned up the place and removed the parts he replaced. Finding a good and reliable plumber needs some luck. We called the office asking about the condition of our old GD. We were told that if it is leaking from the bottom, it would need to be replaced. This is the same information we received from a contractor. We bought the new GD. Felix from BP called me right on time and said he was 10 minutes away. He arrived with an excellent attitude and very friendly. He replaced the GD in a short time and left our home within 1/2 hour after arrival. We appreciated his expertise, thoroughness and attitude. Complete charlatans!!! Our pipe burst during the freezing temp. They quoted us $136.00 to fix it, came out, turned a bib valve off and water back on( took 1 min ) and said, "wheres my $136.00"? I said "you didn't fix it"? He said very rudely. "I got your water on....and you didn't know where to turn the bib valve off". I explained that the deal was to fix the pipe. He raised his voice and said, "OHH yeah, you want me to rip the wall apart and fix your pipe...it will cost you a hell of a lot more then $136.00 now give me my $$"!!!! read more

My experience with Beaverton Plumbing is not so good. I had a situation where they charged me $75/hr for training time for a lethargic apprentice over and above the $95/hour for their journeyman. All the while I watched the experienced journeyman stand around and try teach this Neanderthal apprentice how not to drill 5 times in the same JOIST (painful)! It was also painful to receive a bill where they tried to up-charge me over $1000 for extra trucks and personnel hours. I do not trust these people at all, and I have heard stories that mirror this. I tracked their hours carefully, and it was an insult to receive a bill that assumed I was ignorant about the real accounting. Are they capable of fixing the leak, yes, but for the management: not trustworthy at all. Call a smaller firm and get a fair price. read more

I had Beaverton Plumbing install a new tub, rain head shower, hand held shower head and regular type of shower head as well as a the faucet on a new bathroom vanity. I was very, very happy with their work. Granted, we had some struggles because of what I choose for installation. (parts were difficult to find) but they stayed in communication and in the end, made it right! They were more than fair with pricing. I Do recommend their services. You get a window of how much it'll cost when you make the appontment with Stephanie (between $142-165) and then they show up - spends 5 minutes working on the toilet - charged me the highest amount and then what REALLY bothered me the most; they snuck in a charge of $15 (last minute charge) because the tech wore a mask. They didn't tell me that they would be charging me for his mask when I made the appointment!!! I would have called another plumber (more honest one). In fact, the tech was telling me while fixing the toilet not to worry that it shouldn't cost more than $142. Well $180 charge later for just unplugging my toilet. I called the office - hung up twice when I asked for the owner - HORRIBLE customer service. I would have NEVER done business with them, if I knew I would be charged extra for the tech to wear a mask. Had one of their guys come out to scope and locate the plumbing lines in a warehouse. he couldn't do it. Said the lines were clogged and he couldn't move the scope forward. When asked if he scope from the other other end he said that "it was impossible to go up the line." Good thing I didn't take his word as gospel. We had another guy come out, same exact equipment. This guy got down on his hands and knees and actually worked. He was making novel tools with a shop-vac and piece of tubing to move the debris around to get the scope in further. He also put the scope in the other end and went back up the pipe, which Beaverton Plumbing had said was "impossible". Well low and behold they called the next morning and said they had an opening that day. They were at my home in 20 minutes. They were able to solve the issue quickly. They cleaned up afterward. My first appointment with Beaverton Plumbing was a no-show and no-call. I should have moved on from there but I didn't..... I have a lot of mixed feelings about the service I received from this company. Jim the plumber who came out was a great person except he misdiagnosed the problem with my shower and I was out $200.00 from that visit. I called the company expecting them to make it a follow up and credit me for my loss. Yet I was informed that is not how they do business. I would need to pay whatever it cost to revisit the problem ( I wish I could get away with that with my customers!!!) and they would try to fix my shower. At this point, I considered calling another company but I knew they already knew the problem so I made another appointment. At first, I was told he would arrive between 11am-1pm then it changed to 1pm-2pm then as I decided to leave at 3:30 pm I saw him coming up the road so I turned around to meet him. This property was a rental so it was urgent that I got this problem resolved so I was completely at Beaverton Plumbing's mercy which wasn't a lot. As it turns out Jim came back with a new idea that worked!!! Unfortunately, the box of parts he brought was not labeled correctly. That meant he needed to drive back to Tigard and get the right parts. I met him back at the rental and it was finally completed at about 11 pm. He understood the issues, fixed the problem quickly, repaired a loose shower fitting in the upstairs shower and the full cost was only $110. I'd highly recommend finding a more reputable, honest plumber who returns calls in a timely manner as committed and doesn't overcharge for travel. The plumber who arrived for the repair was courteous and on time; however, he left me with a broken handle on the bathtub, noting that a screw was stripped. I did not hear anything for more than a week regarding the part and phoned to leave a message, which was unreturned. I placed a second call to their office to discuss the status of the part and to review the travel time that I later noticed on my invoice. I am five minutes away from their brick and mortar location, and it was my understanding based on discussions at the time of booking that I was charged travel from their shop to my home. In a discussion with Joe at their Beaverton location this afternoon (yes, a month later), he abantered with me over the travel policies, which I firmly believe were not properly discussed or disclosed. He was argumentative, abrupt and insistent that I am ignorant regarding plumbing dispatch--he suggested that I do "my homework" in calling around to his competition to request their travel rates. I advised him that I had already spoken with professionals who confirmed that their practices are not completely routine. I had been charged 20 minutes of travel time despite being within a five-minute drive. I have no control over their dispatching and routing and should therefore not be obligated to pay for the travel time from their last destination to my home. Were this disclosed upfront and expected, I would have been more understanding. I also would have been more understanding had the plumber returned my phone calls earlier and had Joe made an effort to remedy the situation or arrive at an agreeable compromise. The disrespectful and questionablly dishonest approach has certainly deterred me from using them again. I will be certain to dispute a portion of my bill representing travel time with the credit card company, as I used my card to remit payment. read more
