The MAX red line originates here and goes thru downtown Portland and finishes its run at PDX. There are many bus lines that start/ finish here including numbers 20, 52, 54, 57, 76, 78 and possibly others. The WES Commuter Train starts/ finishes here. There is a bike area and a small parking area for pick up and drop off. There isn't a park and ride lot though. The Beaverton Transit Center is a fairly large area and has lots of seating areas, some covered and some shaded by trees. There is a snack bar with limited hours. Many businesses are a very short walk from here including Starbucks, Freddies, TJMaxx, Big 5 and HomeGoods. So this location always has a lot of foot traffic. TriMet does an outstanding job keeping this place safe and clean.

It's really just a MAX stop right next door to Yahoo (with all the required signs and stuff, but no…read moreparking area), very small, but what a MAX stop. It has a couple of features that make it stand out from all the rest. I cannot give any adequate name to them and cannot describe them in a reliable way because I'm very nearly totally right brained. That being said, one of them is some sort of device that picks up distant sound and amplifies it so you can hear the train coming down the track way before you see it, same with the train horn, but the best of all it picks up birdsong and it's a really beautiful and surreal kind of experience. The other feature is like a very sophisticated set of wind chimes. They're all wired up to the inside of the station, and when they pick up the vibrations of the train on the tracks, the "wind chimes" start playing. Waiting here for a train is an exercise in auditory delight, very playful, and something very unexpected in this quiet neighborhood.

The Beaverton Transit WES Station is located at the Beaverton Transit Center. The WES commuter train boards here on its way to Hall/ Nimbus, Tigard, Tualatin, and Wilsonville. There are two benches, two trash containers, two ticket machines and a pay phone. There isn't any parking available here to park and ride. But there is secure bike parking. There is a digital information display showing the arrival times of trains and buses. The WES commuter train only operates Monday thru Friday at limited hours in the morning, late afternoon and early evening. It is always on schedule.

There is also secure bike parking available for people who peddle and ride. There are covered bench areas near the train tracks. On my most recent visit here I noticed that the benches have been replaced with new ones. There are two separate shelters for bus 62 depending on which direction you're headed. From this location it's a short walk to Cedar Hills shopping center. If you are headed to the restaurants on Millikan and Murray, they're only a five minute walk away. As with all their properties, I feel that Tri-Met does an outstanding job maintaining the appearance and cleanliness here.

This is my second go to Max Tram Station because there is plenty of parking available. Every time I finish coming in from Clackamas Town Center this is the place I go. If I am not driving then Willow Creek would be my stop. I would sometimes park my car here on the day of my therapy appointments because I need to ride the 19 and 24 buses in the far reaches of Portland. There is one bus here that I don't ride because it doesn't go near where I live, work or shop. If you do happen to utilize the 62 line there is a waiting area nearby. Warning: The PDX area is very dependent on trams so it's better to plan accordingly if you want to drive to this stop

The MAX train does not reach here, unfortunately. The buses served by this transit center are 42, 43, 45, 56. 62, 76 and 78. There are covered seating areas. There is plenty of parking but no bike facility. Of course if you desire refreshments while waiting for your bus, Starbucks and numerous other snack places are located right inside Washington Square Mall. This transit center sees a lot of traffic and Tri-Met does a great job maintaining its cleanliness and appearance.

Purchasing the necessary cards was tedious if you're trying to buy multiple cards at one time. The first train that arrived, we had to get out of because there was such a heavy urine smell in it. It was really bad. The next one that came shortly afterwards was fine and we were able to easy go spend the day downtown.

This area always feels safe and the maintenance workers do a great job keeping it clean. There are concrete sitting areas in addition to tri-met's shelters for each bus. The max train area has several benches and covered areas. There is a large parking area if you wish to park and ride. I've never noticed any vandalism in the parking area. Buses 52 and 88 stop here along with the blue line.

This last Wednesday, 12/14/16, the snowflakes weren't supposed to fly until about 2 to 4 p.m…read more While still at work around noon, I swore I saw some flying snowflakes, and said to my co-worker that either I was hallucinating or I saw snowflakes. She tried to make me believe I was hallucinating, but we finally had to agree that it was those darned snowflakes (as pretty as they are) were flying. We decided to hang around a bit longer and see what transpired. What transpired were the pretty snowflakes coming faster and sticking. After getting phone calls from other employees that the snow was sticking and driving was very slippery, my co-worker dropped me off here at the Elmonica station and within minutes I was back in downtown Portland and then to my apartment feeling real relief. The train was a little crowded, but it ran like clockwork into Portland. It was well heated and comfortable. Everybody remained cheerful and friendly. After what transpired the rest of the afternoon and evening, I am truly grateful for the availability of MAX and the smoothness of the ride home.
