~ BE CAREFUL WHEN RENTING FROM THIS COMPANY! ~ I was hesitant after reading a few of the negative reviews, but went ahead & booked anyway. I emailed a week in advance of our arrival...double checking the rental & making sure everyone would "fit" in the property (10 of us). Both of the rental agents assured me via email that the amenities in the cabin were working "perfectly" (they weren't!) & that the cabin had plenty of sleeping space (it didn't!). Long story short, the agents were extremely rude when booking (which should have given me a clue!) & then especially rude when we had problems (the "perfectly working grill" didn't work at all ~ it was replaced during our stay but not until the last day, the stove only had one working burner & the oven only heated to 350!). The upstairs bedroom was completely useless b/c it was so hot (even w/ the A/C running) that we couldn't use it. Sleeper sofa was urine soaked & had loose dirt in the sheets when we pulled it out (I took pics!). The management personnel were contacted about these issues and got upset & implied that I was "bothering" them (yes, I have the emails & texts to prove it!). Anyway, I could go on and on....we've been going to Beavers Bend for 20 years & have never had this issue when renting through another company. I would recommend using Sundowner Realty over Beavers Bend Adventures any day of the week! EDITED TO ADD: I declined a partial charge on my credit card for the food that was ruined when the cooking facilities didn't work. I had back-up texts/emails from the agents (who didn't do anything about the problem) & the credit card company supported my claim & denied payment to the rental agency. First off I would like to say Coyote ridge was amazing! Our stay was great aside for one hiccup when we lost power due to the snowstorm. i contacted the emergency number and spoke Janine( I am more than positive it was her). After informing her we lost power she stated she would contact Choctaw Electric and then basically told us "to gather blankets and go to bed" because it would probably be out a few hrs but should be back in the morning. Now, let me get to the real reason I am doing this review: I booked my reservation on 12/20 completely overlooking the fact that they bill 14 days in advance so they attempted to charge my card two days after due to our checkin date being 1/6. So, Janine called me 12/26 to let me know my card declined and the treatment I received from her was absolutely AWFUL! I mean I have never been treated in this manner by anyone I as PAYING for a service. She proceeded to ask me why I would book my reservation if I did not have all the funds available on my card and was my card a "debit card" because a cc is required. Mind you this is the day after XMAS after telling how I would not have the funds available until the 29th (which was 4 days later) she asked if I was traveling alone or with a group. I advised her it was a group of us and she tells me to call one of the others in the party and make them pay $500 that day and the remaining on the 29th. I replied, absolutely not do you realize Xmas was literally yesterday?!? So, she is like you can cancel and re-book when you have the funds available which would mean I would lose my $100 deposit and have to pay it all over again because she did not want her "owners" to lose money not aware of the fact I had been watching the cabin for weeks to make sure it would not get rented and I potentially would not be able to book and I told her the same. So, she tells me it is a slow weekend and any other time she would just cancel it and I would lose my money. Just completely disrespectful for no apparent reason. If anything I would be the one losing money if I did not follow through with my reservation (deposit). She is a very rude, crude and unprofessional woman. She had the audacity to say when I told her that I would have the money on Friday "thats what they all say and I have heard that before". I mean just repeatedly being rude for no reason other than I am sure she could tell that I was of African American descent. You can say what you want after reading this janine but you and I both know you are a crass woman. So 15 mins later of going back of forth and almost begging her not to cancel my booking, I simply asked, do you have a yelp page that I can write a review on our conversation. She proceeds to laugh at me saying "what did you say..do I have a Yelp? is that a threat *laughing* she says to someone in the background she asked if I have a yelp page like I had no right to ask her anything of the sort. Janine, I am unsure if this is how you do business on a regular, but you have no right to treat me or anyone else for that matter the way you did. I only wish that you can reflect on our conversation and work through your people/business skills, because even though you are established God will humble you quick.Your character and the way you spoke to me was completely out of line and surprisingly, I found your yelp on my own and found time to write this review :) read more

We stayed at Time Well Spent. It was disgusting. Floors had hair and lint balls all over. Hair in the bathtub. Inside of toilet bowls not cleaned. Hair and mascara stains on sheets and looked like they may not have even been changed from the last guests. Hair on extra pillowcases in closet. Not enough sheets to make pull out beds. Everything was dusty. We cleaned counters in kitchen when we arrived and you can tell they don't clean under any of the knick knacks on the counter. It's a shame because this could be a great cabin if it were clean. What a waste of money. Definitely would not rent through this company again. read more

Pros: Comfortable master bedroom bed. Beautiful cabin. Scenic setting for outdoorsmen. Cons: GREATLY OVERPRICED FOR UPWARDS OF $265 plus tax per night. LOOK TO NEARBY CABINS! Beaver's Bend Adventure cabins are located right on a major highway, which was a constant disruption from our evening campfires; not the quiet countryside that we were seeking. Cabin payment was withdrawn days before the agreed upon payment date. As well, they provided an incorrect key code to enter the cabin, leaving us to call them and wait for a call back upon our arrival, after driving nine hours in the rain. Nonworking coffee pot. No basic kitchen items including--cookie sheet, 13 X 9 pan, casserole dish. No staple bathroom items including--shampoo, conditioner, lotion "Video Library" had the cases to many DVDs, but many were empty. "Game Room" in same condition, as several games were missing necessary pieces to play the games. Unswept front porch with so much debris that was left to be tracked back into cabin; I had to sweep it myself. Also, debris was left in the fire pit area. Not satisfied with the customer service provided. Many cabins nearby, so keep looking.... read more

My family and I rented Copper PInes. Very disappointed. My children slept on the pull out sofa and got some type of bites on them. I did not realize this was a pet friendly cabin or I would not have rented this one. Upon telling the property manager they explained about ticks and chiggers. I know all about these as I live in Arkansas. We were not out in the woods or tall grass as it rained the whole time we were there. When I told them this and that I would not rent from them again, they simply replied OK. read more

we go to broken bow every year and HAVE had a good experience. This time we stayed at Copper Pines cabin. We picked it for several reasons but one was for the DVD player. We had planned one night to stay up late and watch movies. The DVD player would not work. We called the next morning and they were suppose to send a man to work on it. He never showed up. Also, the upstairs bed was the noisiest bed ever! Didnt sleep all night!. I called and talked to a lady after we got home about the issues we had and she did apologize. But offered nothing else. If you have any problems there, you might get an apology later but as expensive as those cabins are and that we are a REGULAR customer, you would think they would offer a discount on the next time you visit! For that I am very DISAPPOINTED!. read more

First of all, the Finches Nest cabin is beautiful. The cabin is conveniently located to town. However several things in the cabin didn't work and we had a disturbing incident. The owner of the cabin showed up on Saturday morning at 10:15. We were at the cabin for a women's retreat and several women were still in pajamas or in bed. When the owner knocked we answered the door and he just came in uninvited and said some men were coming to fix the pool table. On a Saturday? While guests are in the cabin? This couldn't be done while the cabin was unoccupied? For something non-critical like a pool table? Also they had my phone number and could have called to see if it would be ok but they didn't. I called the the booking agency to complain that we felt this was very inappropriate and we were uncomfortable with strange men coming in. They said the owner had dementia and wanders around. I don't think this is the case. I believe he deliberately shows up to check things out. The booking agency did call the pool table guys to tell them to leave immediately. We read the guest book and there was entry after entry about the owner showing up. We paid a lot of money to rent this cabin and feel we should have been respected with privacy. We will not stay here again or rent from this booking agency. read more

We rented the Stargazer cabin through Beavers Bend Adventures and it was a horrible experience! I am hoping the owners of this cabin will read this to find out what is going on with their property and how it is being represented, as I am sure our review in the guestbook will be ripped out. There were many other places in the book with ripped out pages. The cabin is beautiful from the outside and the setting is gorgeous. However, inside, the front half bath by the entrance is having a drainage/sewage issue. We had to use a plunger on it most of the time to get it to flush and the smell coming from the venting in there is aweful. The fireplace had not been cleaned out from the last renters and we had to get the mountain of ash out before we could start a fire. The firewood was being kept outside about 40 feet from the cabin and was wet. We had problems keeping a fire all 4 days of our stay (and it was 22 degrees at night). The cabin is advertised as sleeping 10 people and we had 7. There are 3 rooms with king sized beds and 2 pull out sofas. The pull out sofas were unusable and we called Gina, the property manager right away. The sofa downstairs had toys, old pieces of candy, and dead bugs once we opened it up. There was no mattress, only the dirty spring casing. There were no bed linens, pillows, or blankets in any closet or any cabinet (at least none that we had access to). One of the upstairs rooms had a broken wing backed chair with 3 good legs, a missing smoke detector with wires hanging from the hole, and perfume doused pillows and bedding. The Nintendo Wii as advertised, was useless as the remotes were missing so the games our kids brought stayed in their cases. The 36" flatscreen (advertised as oversized) TV in the living room is very high up on the wall and has no free standing or surround sound speakers so even with the volume up all the way was hard to hear and be able to watch a movie. We did not have any cell service, no phone service from the house phone, and no internet almost the whole time we were there. The kitchen (advertised as well stocked) had nothing but an open peanut butter jar, open bags of flour and sugar, 1 small skillet, a few pots, and miscellaneous, disorganized utensils. We had to go buy salt and most other condiments as well as bags, paper towels, etc. When we called Gina, the property manager, and gave her our concerns, she became very aggressive, condescending, and rude. She came over with the cleaning supervisor and inspected all of the issues we presented. Her solution was to go buy 2 memory foam pads (1 1/2") for the pull out sofas, and 2 new pillows for the perfume doused room, as well as 2 new skillets. She said that renters take things or destroy them and that a lot of the pots and pans had been used outside on the grill during a power outage and had to be thrown away. The problem as I see it, is that the owners of the cabin probably have no idea how it is really being managed. When things are taken or destroyed, they are not being charged to the renter and then replaced. And this is giving your renters a very bad impression because it is not presented as advertised. The property management blamed you for the size of the TV, the way that you installed your internet connection inside of the locked closet, and your lack of decorating your cabin. Also, the hot tub is advertised as being on the back deck. It is actually on the ground level BELOW the home and accessible down steep stairs from the deck at living room level. We were not able to use due to this since there were no robes or blankets in this cabin (other than the quilts on the 3 beds) we did not want to risk coming up from below in the cold without anything to wrap around us. There were no spa or beach towels either. This cabin could be great with some things fixed, some things improved on, and with a kick in the butt to the property managment and cleaning crew. The price point $300-$400 a night for this cabin is ludicrous! read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! We stayed at Fifty Shades of Grey cabin for a weekend in July of 2016. The cabin had just been built a few months before so the cabin was really nice. The reason for my 1 star rating is because of the Beavers Bend Adventures poor customer service. When we left the property we accidentally left some clothes and some of our towels in the dryer. I called Beavers Bend Adventures a few hours after we got home (roughly 6 hours after we left the cabin) to ask if they could mail our belongings to us. The lady I spoke with said nothing had been turned in yet but that it would probably be turned in the following morning by the cleaning staff so she asked me to send an email in to the office and they would get back to me the next day. I sent the email that same evening and never got a response back from them. I called and left a voice message a day later and sent another email...still didn't hear back from them. I waited a week and called again and left another voice message and sent another email and still I never got anyone to reply back to my email or call me back. I called a few more times after that and never had anyone answer or call me back so I just gave up. I understand that it was our fault that we forgot our stuff in the dryer. However Beavers Bend Adventures has a written policy that they will mail back any items that are accidentally left behind for a fee of $25 plus shipping. We would have gladly paid this to get our stuff back. We will never use and we will not ever recommend Beavers Bend Adventures again. read more

My family and I rented the Heavenly Ridge Cabin. When we first arrived, there were issues getting the key-since it was not in the lock box. I called and left a message around check in time. Then spoke to someone at 10-11 pm that night. She stated she would bring me the key the next morning at 8:30 am. The next day at around 9:30 am, I called because no one had showed up and I had to refresh their memory on what I needed. When she did come by the cabin, I was told that she couldn't get a hold of someone with a key. But she would have someone by to drop one off, when we came back from our day at the State Park. As a tourist, I don't like leaving my valuables in an unlocked cabin. The cabin was beautiful on the outside, but the inside was not clean!!! There was years of dust on all the light fixtures and fan blades and under the couch, toilets had streaks of grime on the inside, and the very flat rollout sofa bed had stains on the cover. ROLLOUT SOFA BED IS NOT A VIABLE OPTION FOR SLEEPING. While trying to search for a broom to clean up a little-I encountered the list of things to do for the cabin maid. It was very simple-basically wipe down some items in the house.. No requests for toilet cleaning, washing bed linens, dusting, mopping...etc. Broken Bow is a nice place to visit and we had a good time doing activities outside the cabin. But it is troubling to think of how much dust you are inhaling when you turn the fan on at night! Gross!!!! read more
