I ordered a specific pallet truck online to pick up locally in the store. There were no notes about it not being in stock, or backordered or anything. When we went to pick it up - days later - they don't have it. It's backordered for several months. They happily took my money, though, and I guess were going to just hold on it to and hope I showed up in a few months to do a pick up. I imagine getting a refund for something they don't have will require jumping through hoops. This kind of stuff drives me nuts. Just tell me, or put it on your site. Something! read more

This is the only place online that I could find a part for my Fien vacuum. The price was fair and the shipping was reasonable and fast. Help keep a good business in business. Thanks Bob S. read more

I wish they were in California. Great phone service Really good business. Got some Kreg pocket screws. They had the best price & they price match! read more

I ordered from here - card was charged immediately. A few days later I email to ask for a status and they said it typically takes 5-7 days. That was 12 days ago and last Friday morning I emailed asking about a status and have yet to receive a response. They have a good selection, good prices, but are seriously slow in any type of response or shipping. I would look to shop elsewhere. read more

I placed an order and then had a question. I sent an email to the addresss hownfor contact. It was returned as undeliverable. I tried again and got the same message. I did it by copying the address and pasting into the email address. so I tried again by typing in the address and got the same undeliverable message. There is a address but no phone number. So now I don't know how I'm supposed to get to their customer service. I paid through PayPal and if I cannot find a way to get an answer I will cancel the order because now I have to wonder if this is a real business. It seems all the comments range from 5 stars to 1 star. all the negative comments apply to their customer service. Can someone give a phone number or a way to contact them? read more

Their website indicates items usually ship in 2-8 days. I placed an order on 3/22. I emailed today 4/17 to check status. They said it's out of stock and don't know when it would be back in. I tried to call customer service and held for a long time and gave up. I get that sometimes you can't get an item....but it should not take 4 weeks to figure things out and refund the client. Large selection with unbeatable customer service. They stock product in their 4 warehouses like any other dealer. You'll get the tools the quickest as possible from them. read more

I ordered 4 Jet parallel clamps and was charged for the total amount. I was advised that my order had shipped and a week or so later two boxes arrived. Both boxes were in bad shape with the bar of one clamp protruding outside the box. When I opened the boxes I found only 3 clamps. Apparently one clamp was back ordered but BIS didn't feel it necessary to tell me. they didn't hesitate to charge me for all 4 and never mentioned that I wouldn't get them all. no indication of when the 4th would ship. when I inspected the 2 smaller clamps they had damage to their support brackets. the knobs had sheared off and one knob was missing entirely. this was not shipping damage, someone packaged these clamps knowing they were damaged or maybe they just didn't pay any attention at all. multiple phone calls were required to get return shipping labels and return the items. I have purchased thousands of dollars in products from BIS in the past but their service has markedly deteriorated and I won't be returning as a customer. read more

BUYERS BEWARE! WATCH OUT FOR BEAVER INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY!! I placed a series of orders for a Festool track saw and a set of guide rails. In total, the order amounted to $1300. The track saw and one set of guide rails did not ship within a month after purchase, with no feedback from the seller. After a series of customer support calls it finally shipped, but the order was incomplete and went to an address that was different than my order. I have been back and forth, via email and customer service phone line, almost a dozen times to no avail. They hang up, keep me hanging on the line, don't respond to emails, say it's my fault and I need to call UPS, etc. Customer service has said I submitted the order wrong (incorrect). They said I changed my information online (also incorrect, considering I cannot log into my account). They said my neighbors took the missing items (also incorrect, because the package was sent to the entirely wrong side of the state according to UPS). Even UPS disputed their behavior, so I had to get my credit card company involved. Finally, after two months of back and forth, I have my money back. Beaver Tools has no business selling online if this is how they treat customers. BUYERS BEWARE! read more

Called and placed an order the staff was very helpful and professional and I admit I can be hard to deal with .. I definitely would recommend A++ . I will be doing all my high end tool business with them. read more

I purposely choose to purchase a very expensive Carvex festool jigsaw from BEAVER Industrial Supply rather than amazon mainly to support smaller companies and because of Amazon's reknown poor treatment of their workers. But unfortunately this turned out to be misguided as Amazon has far better customer service than Beaver. The device failed in a spectacular manner within 3 hours of using it in a manner other woodworkers had documented of their experience. In such cases, Amazon would have simply issued a return label rather than subject me to some delayed process.  Instead customer service gave me a run around. After I received an rma number and was told a ups label was forthcoming.  I was mistaken believing I would receive more thoughtful customer service from a small, specialized company! I would have thought their selling a product of questionable quality/durability would trigger appropriate embarrassment and not expose the customer to further inconvenience! Apparently, that is not Beaver's philosophy! read more

Shipping Disaster Don't buy from BIS! I bought a Jet 20 inch Planer and BIS said it would be delivered via Dayton shipping. Well when it gets to the terminal, then they decide they can't deliver it and need more money to do so. They should be up front about their shipping and as I found out they hide it. So when you decline paying more money and try to cancel, they charge you the shipping fee back even though it never reached you. Extremely disappointed in this company. read more

This was the first time I purchased from this company. A past (negative) reviewer said their credit card was charged even when the product was not in stock. I placed my order anyway and checked and it was in stock. The salesperson I spoke with was courteous and friendly. The price of the Triton oscillating spindle sander was very good (beat Amazon!) and it arrived 2 days later with free shipping. Would def do business with them again - esp for woodworking supplies and machinery. 'mark read more

Ordered a Festool Jogsaw and assorted blade kit and other things instead of receiving the jigsaw, I received an abrasives assortment in a sustainer. I contacted customer service and spoke with Joseph back in the beginning of March. He advised me to send back what I received. I told him I was keeping everything but I was not keeping the abrasive kit so he told me to send it back and provide me with a shipping label. The end of March now rolls around and I completely forgot about it so I contacted them to ask where my refund was and he told me that something got misplaced whatever that I would be receiving my refund within 24 hours never received it had to call again then he told me that they sent me an email saying that they needed to talk to me because they needed payment information which I never got an email from him so then he told me my refund would be sent to PayPal because I didn't feel comfortable giving them my card number after all of this I checked PayPal and received a refund for $58. The blades were 55 and the saw was three so is the rest of my money again was put on hold for about 20 minutes for him to tell me that I have to speak to somebody else who's in charge of it. They put me through to her who she put me on hold for 40 minutes and then hung up on me. I call Joseph back and he was not answering his phone. Don't give me my money back horrible customer service nobody knows what they're doing and they pass the buck to somebody else. Guess I'm gonna have to contact the bank to get my money back. I use a lot of Festool items and it's unfortunate that they deal with companies that sell their products like this. read more

I think I am having the same experience as "S.H." I ordered a $160 product 14 days ago and have had no updates. I received a receipt on the date of purchase which declared that I would be informed when it has shipped. I tried emailing 4 days ago to ask the status of my order (the email that BIS said to use), and have heard nothing back. I will call them tomorrow and probably update this review. On the plus side, I found they had the best price on my item, shipped free and even threw in a free cap. Called BIS today and was told that they wouldn't get my order in from the original manufacturer until late April. I had to find this out on my own 15 days after ordering. Not good. Fortunately, I'm not in any hurry (at least I don't think I'll die before my order arrives). read more

Finally received my order for a saw after many delays. I called and ask to return the saw as it doesn't fit my needs. Employee says the only way they accept returns is if it was damaged during shipment. So, basically, they don't accept returns. read more

This company will charge your credit card or debit card for products that are not in stock and will not be in stock for a week or more before shipping, that's just plan wrong. I asked why they charged my card when it is not in stock and they didn't give me an acceptable answer, nor could they give me a good reason for not letting me know the product wasn't in stock. If you value good customer service this is not the company to buy from. read more

Recently ordered a Sawstop table saw from Beaver Industrial Supply. I was told I would get it in 6 weeks and I got it early!!! This company has the WORST customer service. I try to support small businesses over companies like Amazon...but with the poor service i received I cannot give Beaver Supply my business. I can't imagine you will still be in business come January 2021 if you operate in the status quo mode. For your employees sake, get your act together! I went ahead and ordered through another small supplier, paying more for the items and receiving the customer service i expect read more

In August, we had a flood and our bandsaw that we cut magnesium on died. We found a nice modern one by Laguna on Beaver's website. The site said 5-7 days for processing. Two months later we received our bandsaw. Then we discovered that Laguna bandsaws use a ceramic guide which spark consistently. This is very dangerous if you are cutting wood on your bandsaw. It is more dangerous if you are cutting magnesium. After going through tech support with Laguna they told us to go buy an expensive aftermarket replacement guide that does not rain down sparks. When I recommended to beaver that they put on the listing that the Guides cause sparks they blamed me for being too irresponsible to buy the right saw for my use and refused to warn future customers that they were buying something that might kill them. So shop at this store at your own risk, since they are ok with you killing yourselves using their tools. read more

Beaver Industrial Supply - Hardware Stores Near Me - St. Louis, Missouri

On January 31st I placed an order by phone with Michele (office manager). Later that day Michele calls back to tell me there is a long backorder. On that phone conversation I canceled the order. Michele goes on to suggest other more expensive options that are in stock. As I was not able to spend additional funds I had to go elsewhere to purchase my bender. Yesterday I get a call out of the blue from R&L carriers wanting to deliver my bender. Immediately I contact Beaver Tools only to get an email from them today stating that I will have a 25% restocking and be liable for return shipping. After 10 unanswered calls today- I have no recourse but to contest charge with American Express and wait to hear from owner! read more

Ordered a track saw the website showed was in stock. CC was charged $400 immediately. After a few days noticed no shipping notification, few days later called, was told Saw that site said was in stock wasn't and was on order expected in another week and a half. I asked to have the order cancelled and refunded was told expect a refund in a day. called the next week after the website still shows "processing", no refund. Called a few days later asked where my refund was, was told they were gonna expedite it, got an email verifying refund request, checked with CC company still nothing. 1) why does the site show stock when you don't have it? 2) if its not in stock and on order why charge a CC before it ships? 3) I shouldn't have to call multiple times to get an order cancelled and a refund issued. read more

Order took forever to be sent out. I received my machines and there's parts missing wrong dust collection bags top and bottom pieces missing from that as well. 100% will not be ordering another $4k worth of stuff from them again. Oh and they email you back when they feel like it. Horrible experience beyond aggravated. If I could return it all I would just so I wouldn't have done business with them. read more

Refused return of items that met their return policy. They would prefer to lose business.

We have purchased from Beaver for several years. This time we had issues with the delivery and asked for assistance. They contacted me with a service person with no knowledge and no ability to adequately get my questions answered. He decided instead of answering my questions he simply transferred me to a supervisor and received their voicemail. I then had to leave a message which was never returned. You should always be able to get answers to your questions and if you can't then why would you use a company that can't help you when you need it. I have returned the $2,000 order and am purchasing it from another Festool distributor. read more

Pretty weak organization. I ordered something just under $1500 and a week later (after I inquired about the status) was told it was backordered for a month. No mention of backorder when I made the purchase but they collected my money anyway. When contacting them, they said their system doesn't allow refunds without "losing my place in line". That would require a $150 increase in price. Never order from them again! read more

I had a credit card stolen and the thief attempted to buy around $600 of product from Beaver Industrial supply. Disappointing sales department. After placing my order they charged my card and I received a notification that the tool would either ship from BIS or from the manufacturer and I would be getting a tracking number. Well nothing happened for a number of days until I contact them. Turns out they do not have the item in stock and they don't want the manufacturer to drop ship it, so the tool first needs to be restocked and then they ship it out. A week later they do ship it, but with that added delay it now has a Saturday delivery date when the office is closed. FedEx tells me that BIS has placed restrictions on the delivery so that the package cannot be held at a shipping center. I reached out to BIS to please release those restrictions for an earlier delivery but was told they could not do that. If I had known it would take 2 weeks to get my order I never would have gone with BIS. To summarize: if an item is out of stock, mark it as OUT OF STOCK on your website. If you realize that mistake later CONTACT THE BUYER instead of just staying quiet and finally DO NOT BLOCK FEDEX ROUTING REQUESTS. read more

I have had so much trouble trying to get my order. They have a credit card payment option or a pay pal etc. and I used credit card because I don't have I pay pal. Well The first time it did not ship because we didn't answer to verify information because it was my name on the card but my boyfriends name on the shipping address. Okay, my mistake. They refund my money back and I go back to the site and reorder but this time make sure billing, shipping, name, and card all match up correctly. I call to make sure this time it went through and they tell me well we won't ship it because it needs to be verified through PayPal. So here we go again with the refunding and rebuying but hopefully this time I do it right. Why the hell do you have a credit card option if you basically are required to go through PayPal. Oh and not to mention they dont send you an email or anything to notify you that it's not going to ship... completely clusterf**k read more

I'm extremely disappointed in BIS. Their customer service is disappointing. I purchased a number of clamps at an advertised price only to be informed the next day that BIS would not honor the price. Good companies honor their sales. They fulfill orders placed with them at the listed price-i.e., the price listed on the invoice and charged to the credit card. Don't trust these guys. Buy elsewhere. read more
