Some of the trails lead to neighborhoods, ponds and wildflower fields. There are a couple of wildlife that wander through the area like foxes, so that's something to keep in mind. The trails have demarcations that tell you how far you have walked. There are playgrounds, disc golf fields, open fields for soccer and football, basketball/tennis courts and benches to relax. All that's missing are water fountains and bathrooms.

But once you reach the end of the street and go through the texas star gate then you'll see the big red barn! We drove up to Fritz Park to find plenty of parking spaces. There was a tent in the front selling food items before you got to the entrance. Once you cross the bridge and get your tickets, you are welcomed to the farm life! We got to ride Rosie the pony, plant magic pumpkin seeds and go through a maze, feed a piggie and the goats, haunted barn and say hello to the lemur! There were game stations for littles to play and a bakery in the corner. If you're a nursing mother, they have a special Momma Lounge to take care of baby, so thoughtful! Our family had a wonderful day trip to Irving with the farm animals!

I've been going to this park for over 54 years. It is still as beautiful now as it was back then…read more It is an easy 7.5 mile walk from the house or 9 miles if I stick to the formal trails. My last three trips were for this year's Memorial Day activities in support of Carry the Load. This park comes to a new life when there is a large event such as the very noble Carry the Load. Reverchon's beautiful greenery, powerful oaks and gentle rolling meadows are accented with the dark reddish sandstone walls and structures that soothes the soul. It is almost like a slice of Eden.To see this impressive park comfort those grieving as they remember the fallen military, police, fire and other first responders validates its role as a magnanimous friend. It fosters the catharsis and healing needed by many. The trip up and down from the Katy trail (which is high above) can be as challenging as you want to achieve and as beautiful as you want to view. I like the winding stone steps. There are observation terraces, conversation pits, and nature everywhere. It is shielded by quiet Dallas high rises just far enough away. The quiet serenity at night is in contrast to its vibrant life during the day. It retains the natural attraction whether it is a hand full of park goers to over ten thousand. It's great for the dogs, kids and oldtimers like me. There are some sport facilities for the team sport athletes. And of course there are the trails. There is a lack of immediate parking which I think helps retain its natural beauty . There are lots and streets to park if you decide not to go on foot. The adjoining recreation center has all you could want or need. The food and drink options are not too far away and some are world renown. If you need mental cleansing or some quiet reflection, Reverchon Park is the place to stroll.

Challenging to all skill levels, but different layouts are available on UDisc. I generally prefer the amateur/intermediate layout. Watch out for the rough hazards! Especially on the holes that tempt you with big downhill shots! Keep a positive attitude especially if it's your first few rounds here. It'll take at least 12x to play this course effectively. That's why I love the sport! Definitely the best rural course besides Lester lorch. Super nice for those wanting to do some nice hiking. I usually hike it pretty fast, getting a nice work out i between.

This is a beautiful park. We went to the dog park and enjoyed the shared dog area. There is a…read morewonderful splash pad for the puppies as well as a dog bath area. There are restrooms for the humans. The park has artificial turf and there is a large concrete covered area if you need some shade. The water fountain didn't work for the dogs though so make sure to bring water for them just in case. We will definitely be back!
