Most of them were barely warm enough to make me sweat, and even the hottest room didn't feel hot at all. At first, I assumed something was malfunctioning, which I would have completely understood. However, I asked the front desk and was told that these are going to be their regular temperatures moving forward because they had been cited by the health department for the rooms being too hot. I understand that they have to comply with health department requirements, but for someone who specifically comes here for the traditional Korean sauna experience, this completely changes the experience for me. If I'm going to a sauna, I expect to sweat. The LA weather outside honestly feels hotter than some of the sauna rooms now. It's unfortunate because iSpa used to be worth the hour-plus drive for me, and I genuinely loved coming here. The atmosphere is still beautiful and unique, but without the heat I expect from a Korean sauna, I don't think I'll be making the drive back.

Once in the room, the masseuse left for me to undress and didn't return for 10 minutes. When she finally returned, I was told she was looking for the oil I requested from their selection that they were out of. Overall, the massage was not anything special, was mediocre and not worth $300+. Once I met up with my friend, she looked relaxed and happy. She started telling how wonderful her massage was and how much better she felt. She told me about the different techniques and used and details about how the masseuse worked on her. I was in complete shock because mine was NOTHING like hers. No stretching, no hot stone massaging (they were simply laid on my lower back), no full body flow movements, etc. It was a COMPLETELY different massage and was generic! To make it even better, I could not adjust the gratuity as it was automatically added to the already pricy service fee. She asked when was the last time I had a massage? Lol. Well more than a year ago! She gave hard massages so beware of the pressure but I love this kind of massage since it will fix my body.
