Terrible experience. Avoid at all costs. I went to this establishment twice, once for box braids…read moreand once for boho faux locs. Both times, Vivian did my hair. Though I was pleased with the style the first time, all of my edges broke off when I took them out. I went back another time for a different hairstyle, giving her the benefit of the doubt. I made sure to tell her about my edges, in which she looked as though SHE was offended that MY hair broke off. Vivian was rude and inattentive both times that she styled my hair. Even though I showed her photos of my desired style, she did her own thing. She insisted on putting more hair in, and by the end of the experience, the faux locs looked unnatural and bulky. She used 7 packs of hair and my hair is thin. I had to rush out of the appointment once she was complete, so I didn't have time to go back and forth with them about how much I was un-pleased. Once I got home, I realized how horrible my hair was. So, I reached out to Layla, the owner. She avoided my texts, calls, voicemails--she sent me straight to voicemail. Prior to this, she was always quick to respond to me. Finally, I had my friend call her from a different number and she picked up!!! Once, she realized what she had done, she immediately returned my call, after I sent her a message on Whatsapp (which showed me she was online.) Unacceptable. Two days later, Layla fixed my hair the way I desired. She had to cut out a lot of crotchet out and re-twist the faux locs that Vivian messed up. They spoke nasty about me in french, until at the end of the appointment, I started responding back to them in french. They were trying to hustle more money out of me. They looked ashamed of themselves and they should have been. Their bathroom is horrendous and overall the space is shabby and unclean. They are extremely unprofessional and have poor customer service. Do yourself a favor, pay a little more and go somewhere that actually honors your business.

Extremely Disappointed - Please Read Before Booking…read more I had an appointment for a consultation at this salon and was reassured that they were experienced and confident in matching my root touch-up to the rest of my hair. However, from the moment I arrived, things went downhill. The stylist who was originally supposed to do my hair told me she didn't have enough time and would have to rush, so she passed me off to another stylist. This second stylist seemed confident and reassuring. I showed her pictures of how my hair looked before and explained what I wanted. She said she could definitely achieve it. The next day, I arrived for my actual appointment at 4 PM--and I was in the salon until midnight. My hair was bleached three times in a row, severely damaging it. I went in with long, healthy hair and left with it cut extremely short because the damage was so bad it had to be chopped off. Even after hours in the chair, my hair came out a mix of different colors--blonde, orange, gray, ash, and even dark black in some areas. It looked like 10 different people's hair on one head. I was heartbroken and left in tears. For me, this was never about the money. I was trying to get a clean, seamless root touch-up to match the rest of my hair without damaging it. I was genuinely happy with how my hair had been done before, but unfortunately, I had moved out of state and had to choose a salon nearby. I paid full price--and even more the next day when I went back to get it fixed. Again, it wasn't about the cost. It was about quality and getting the job done right. The following day, I returned, hoping they could fix the mess. The manager stepped in and gave me a new haircut (since the first one was done poorly), touched up the crown area, added some highlights, and styled it nicely. I appreciated that she tried to help--but the damage was already done. My hair texture is completely ruined. It's now brittle, dry, and breaks easily--like brushing through a corn husk. And despite all of this, it's still not the color I wanted. Now I'm in the unfortunate position of having to spend hundreds of dollars just to try and repair the damage and restore some health to my hair--damage that should have never happened in the first place. This experience has truly been traumatizing. I'm writing this review not out of anger, but to warn others: do not take a risk at this salon unless you are seeing one of the owners or experienced managers. Most of the stylists appear to be inexperienced or not properly trained. Hair is personal, emotional, and something you carry every day. What happened to me has taken a toll not just on my appearance, but on my confidence. Please think twice before going here. My hope is that no one else walks out feeling like I did.

I told Madison Reeder (my make up artist) that I wanted to have a natural look on my big day but really left it up to her to decide what to do. I told her "my face is your blank canvas!"
