I was right in the area and decided to stop in to see what she offers for assistance with wigs. I was being treated for cancer and had lost my hair. She told me to take a seat while she finished with a customer. I waited a very long time in the reception area, before she moved me into a small room. I waited again for a very long time before she finally came to speak with me. I told her what I was looking for, and she explained her process and possible insurance coverage. I said I'd check with my insurance company and get back to her. Then she said, "That'll be $50." Umm...what??!! She never mentioned that she charged a consultation fee and, having never gone through something like this before, I didn't know any better. Like a fool, I paid it. I should have just walked out since she never mentioned there would be a consultation fee. She was nice, but she should have said something up front. Very unprofessional and sneaky!

A lot of people recommended What's On Top. After checking a few salon web pages this salon just stuck out to me. I called for an appointment the gentleman who answered the was very polite and helpful. He asked a few questions as to what I was looking for and set me up with the owner Karen. The salon is very nice and clean. Is not a big salon I believe they only had three chairs but very welcoming and comfortable. Karen the owner is so nice and friendly. She makes you feel right at home. Actually all of the employees are very friendly. Karen asked me what I wanted and I showed her a couple of pictures from Pinterest for hair color and style. She brings out a couple of color samples and what she suggested would look nice together. Even the hair cut I wasn't 100% sure exactly what I wanted but she was so helpful. All I can say when Karen was done I loved my hair she did such a wonderful job. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair. I will definitely be going back to What's On Top. I highly recommend this salon.

The way he cut it looks terrible after a wash which tells me they don't know how to cut wavy course Asian hair.. They also don't give you a mirror to show you the back of your hair. When I got home, I noticed that when he texturized my hair and took weight out of it, he took out a heavier chunk on one side than the other. Will never go again.

Recently I had to find a local salon instead of commuting over a hour to get them done. I was so worried about the change of salon and concerned that I wouldn't be able to find as good of a service that I was use to. I booked an appointment with Salon 828 in Middletown De with Kelly. I am EXTREMELY SATISFIED!! I waited to write my review for a few weeks to make sure my lashes would hold up and they have. They look as amazing 3 weeks later as they did the day I got them done. Kelly's technique and skill at applying the lashes is very very good. They are the perfect length that I described I wanted, no clumping, very little shed ( just your normal). They are lush and full and again I have to say these are the best set I have every had in all my years. Absolutely NO need to supplement with mascara of any kind . I have had many compliments. If you are thinking about getting lashes I highly recommend Kelly at Salon 828. I go to the Middletown De location but I understand she also works in the Wilmington De location also. Oh the price $$.....you absolutely can NOT beat the price for a new set. Do your research and you will agree.
