Located in a non-descript shopping plaza that I almost passed by even using GPS, Hair City is in a shopping plaza that also houses a hair salon (very convenient) but also a fish market (an odd combination to be sure). For a Saturday afternoon - the parking lot was hopping and although the fishy smell that emanated from the hallway was a bit off putting, I persevered as I was on a mission. Once inside I was greeted by a plethora of products for both men and women. From wigs and extensions to hair dyes and styling products, this store has it all. Although the store has a myriad of products, which might be overwhelming, the shelves were neatly arranged and organized. As I traveled up and down the aisles, I was amazed at how many products Hair City had in stock for not only women but for men as well. . The staff was friendly and accommodating and they were able to help me find exactly what I needed in a short amount of time. Even though I had a hard time correctly explaining what I needed, I must have made enough sense as they directed me to exactly what I was searching for. A great hidden gem in Hartford. Definitely a place to go for all things hair related! Putting this in the category of don't judge a book by it's cover!

I have been going there out of convenience but I have made the mistake in contributing to their success when they are not worthy. Going forward I will commute to Bloomfield where the owner despite my not shopping consistently is always so excited to see me and grateful for my visit to his store. Moral of this is appreciate your customers because it does matters. Going forward I will contribute to the success of an owner who is humble and appreciates his customers. Today I went to get some items and even though it is freezing cold, the man came out to hold the…read moredoor open for me upon leaving and entering. Tanisha, the sales associate was so knowledgeable and even helped me with my scooter. For all my disabled people, the aisles are clean, wide enough for scooters, wheelchairs, and walkers and the items are stocked, organized and accessible and for those that are not there is always help. There is handicapped parking, it's on the bus line, the entrance is regular pull and push to open FYI. You may have to ask but they said you can do pick up curb side of you call and pre-pay. I'm so glad to have found them, they've made it a really good day today!​

I went to the Hartford Walgreens for a covid test. I scheduled my test for 4:00 o'clock on their…read morewebsite. The test is done through their drive-through. First, the intersection to get to this Walgreens is just awful, I know it's not the store's fault. But traffic is awful here if it's around after work hours. I pulled to the drive through and made it to the window just a few minutes before my scheduled time. I told the pharmacist I came for my scheduled covid test. Well guess what? He just walked away from the window. Not ok. I figured he just went to get my test. Well I waited and waited at the window without anyone saying anything to me about why I'm waiting. I waited for 20 long minutes. I'm sorry to all the cars behind me. Finally he came back with my test, I got no explanation or an apology for waiting this long at the window. Maybe the pharmacist is new, and doesn't know how to do things, maybe they're just not organized, I'm not sure what the problem is, but this is unacceptable. I will not go to this location again, there are plenty of Walgreens that know how to do their job and communicate with customers.
