Probably important for me to mention that I am American where for us the day spas I patronize you pay for a day pass to the spa versus your paid entry here only including 2 hours. For myself and my partner personally two hours is just not enough time to relax, to stay on schedule with the ability to experience all floors and rooms I had to continue exploring every 10-15 minutes which left no time to relax. Soon as I would get comfortable and start snoozing it was time to move on to the next room or level. I am not quite sure the reason for the two hour time limit but would love to know. Also, as you migrate between the floors with the one towel and bath robe they give you constantly taking off and putting back on at some point thy become drenched and no longer serve the purpose of keeping you warm in-between floors and dry. Also, they accept reservations; however everything was extremely small here from the multi bodies in the pools to the point you could not find a spot along the wall to the crammed bodies within the treatment rooms; this facility needs to be badly renovated to accommodate the reservations they are receiving or they need to decrease the number of reservations allotted within a given time frame. Lastly, for each pool there is only one massage water pressure device so there are literally lines to access it. For a pool I am used to having ample (8-10) per pool. Will i return; not if I can locate a more cozy and accommodating day spa. Sorry one more thing they make you lock up your phones here and the showers, and locker rooms are co-ed. So you are literally showering with a bathing suit on; I could not wait to get back to my partners sisters place to take a proper shower.

There's plenty of saunas and steam rooms to try, and two large heated pools. Only complaint is the noise. They have no noise policy, and it was not relaxing as it could have been. This is a social spa. other than that, 10/10 experience!

We were told a regular took precedence over our 2 week old booking. It was her xmas present from me after being so ill, so to say i was disappointed was an understatement. With brand such as MAC and Bobbi Brown on sale here you're bound to find something to suit your skin tone and price range. The, annoyingly, good looking staff here are at hand to offer you demonstrations and advise. I always find them to be very knowledgeable and always try to memorise what tips they give me about applying makeup. On the whole it's quite a pricey shop, but I rarely leave the shop without making at least one purchase.

First when booking my facial, they twisted my arm into getting an "elemis" facial. Then the said facial barely lasted 20 minutes, with a lot of downtime. A quick scrub, a facial, some moisturizer, and a lot of waiting time in between. The therapist did not display nor the skills not the knowledge required for what is supposed to be a luxurious treatment. They charged me 40 pounds. In the end, terrible value for money. I will not go back.

Annoyingly my face seems to have expensive tastes and the only thing that solves my woes is Kiehl's Lip balm at the staggering price of £12. And one of the few place in Bath that stocks it is Space.NK. Space NK is like a department store dedicated solely to lotions, potions and cosmetics and I LOVE it. Granted, 95% of it is completely out of my budget, but it's a great place to window shop. The shop is laid out well with bright white counters and shelves of beautifully decorated packaging. This store in Bath has exceptionally smiley, friendly shop assistant who will listen attentively to find you the best suited products.

This salon is not the quality you pay for. I was really disappointed with my afternoon at this…read moresalon. Upstairs the beauty department seems well run and has a nice waiting area. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming, but both of my wax treatments were not up to scratch and I came away with patchy legs and a wonky bikini line. Then I went for a restyle with the master stylist and came away an hour and a half later with barely any style at all. For at least half of the time in the hair salon I was waiting around and, though I was given a magazine and some water, the salon was not very busy at all to be sharing a stylist. Overall the treatments cost nearly £20 more than what was quoted to my partner when he had bought the vouchers for me, meaning I had to pay extra for my own birthday present! The worst was the handling of the situation. When I emailed to ask for my personal details to be removed, I hilighted the above as my reasoning and received a phone call from the manager, who happened to be my stylist. She accepted the wax was not good enough and offered for me to come and get them redone, but was so adamant that there was nothing wrong with the service she provided she spent the majority of the phone call being defensive and repeating the same points again and again despite my response. She didn't even comment on the misquoted price. My partner and I forked out three figures for a basic haircut and dodgy wax jobs. By the end of the long phone call, I felt so bullied down that I just didn't want to argue anymore. There's no way I could return with all the bad feeling left now. I have also found 5* reviews left by the management for their own business and all of their ratings are high on their website because customers can't leave a review.

My heart belonged to the shop that sold the deliciously smelling bubble bath and made my hair feel silky smooth. Twenty years on and I still love their shampoos and shower gels with their signature scents. The shop assistants here are helpful, but not entirely friendly which can be a bit off-putting. This seemed like the most affordable place, 39 quid for full legs and bikini line. They mentioned a makeup artist in the salon that day so I could look at some make up after my appointment which I was ok to do. Cut to the actual appointment, the lady who was considered a professional didn't seem to know how to wax as she kept stating that she was making errors. She made me feel very uncomfortable as she was talking about dead chickens and the process of plucking them, I felt she was very cold and unfriendly. She continued to make me feel uncomfortable as I mentioned I was getting ready for my partner to come down where she stated that she doesn't feel comfortable waxing someone who is doing it for someone else's pleasure....? Right. Once my appointment was over, I was greeted by this makeup artist who then asked to me take a seat whilst as she started to take my makeup off. I stated that I was happy to just look at the make up but she said it will just be quick, so I continued...come the end where she had put makeup on me, added up the cost of everything on my face and began to haggle me. I'm not a very confrontational person and I didn't feel comfortable to tell her I didn't want anything. So I explained the situation to the lady at the desk instead, where she had told me prices, damn. I went to pay for my scheduled treatment and it was now like 20 quid more??? I asked what for and they said that I had extra wax treatment...which I did not. She then told me that I should have come in on a student discount day...which I had no knowledge of after going through with until the appointment had ended. I felt extremely judged as the whole time all the staff where watching me. I would never go back here purely because of the unprofessionalism and the fact I felt completely taken advantage of.
