There are a few reasons I felt comfortable moving forward with Broderie Ink: - Angela herself. She's a perfectionist and a pro. She was patient with me and her knowledge of her craft convinced me to trust her with my virgin brows. - Nanoblading: this technique is what she specializes in and yes, there is a difference between nanoblading and microblading so do your research. Nanoblading takes time, but it's well worth it. - Natural brow strokes/style: I wanted very natural-looking hair strokes and a no makeup look - basically, I wanted my brows to look the same but fuller. I don't wear make-up often and having very defined brows all the sudden (although they look nice on others) wouldn't be natural on me. Ultimately everyone has different wants for their brows, so speak up about what you want, trust Angela and know that everyone's brows heal differently - you may need a touch-up and that's normal. I honestly had never thought about getting the bottom lashline done, and I was genuinely not sure about adding it on--it was Angela's suggestion! But I am thrilled with how it came out. It definitely makes me look more awake and does NOT emphasize my dark under eye circles, which I worried about. Honestly, in my admittedly limited experience (got my brows/top lashline done once before elsewhere), lashlines last SO LONG on me that they're totally worth it. Last time my brows didn't even make the 2 year mark, but I could still see the lashline clearly after 5 years! So here's hoping they hang around this time. 2) If something is asymmetrical after your initial job, don't freak out, just let Angela know and it'll get taken care of in the touchup. She spent a good long time on my touchup; she is a perfectionist who honestly just wants to do a good job. 3) It is normal for the eyes and brows to feel a bit swollen while the process is going on, but once she is done, Angela will apply this magical epinephrine and the swelling will basically disappear (for me, anyway!) I don't remember my previous place doing this and it was really nice. I sent her photos and discussed my concerns about my lip discoloration; she reassured me that she could help me achieve my lip goals. You are given an email with pre care instructions (such as lip exfoliating beforehand and avoiding potential blood thinning agents like Advil ) and you also have to sign an agreement before the appointment. My first session was a neutralization due to the darkness and a hyperpigmentation / acne scar on my upper lip. You bring your desired lip colors so she knows your ideal look - you can choose the more natural or make up look (more pigmented). I had a student observing during the session which I didn't mind. I found her studio to be clean and professional. Overall tattoo/ PMU experience was tolerable for me (there is numbing cream and she asks if the pressure is okay while she's working). My 2nd session - I was able to deposit in the color I had wanted. She can see how I healed as well and where the lips did/didn't take in as color. This was a much shorter session in under 2 hours. After each session I was given after care instructions such as using the A&D ointment, aquaphor, avoid peeing the scabs etc. She also gave me a timeline guide of how the lips will change over the weeks until it's fully healed.
