Kelley is the best hair girl ever! I showed her my inspo pic and my dress at my first appointment before my bridal portraits and she absolutely delivered. She was such a joy to sit and talk with too, it was like we weren't even strangers and had been friends since childhood. She made me feel so comfortable the whole time and I cannot say enough great things about her! I will definitely be coming back to her for more help with future portraits! Also - my hair stayed all through dancing on the dance floor plus going out on Rainey after! (I even went down the slide at Unbarlievable and nothing fell ) my husband was incredibly impressed by the end of the night that it was still nearly perfect when he had to take all the Bobby pins out of my hair LOL Rhea!! She is the BEST. I'm not a make up guru or glam girl by any means and I've always struggled as a bridesmaid in past weddings bc I ask for a neutral look and it never turns out how I want or like. I'm a bare minimum make up girly, so I don't enjoy feeling cakey with a full face of makeup. Let me tell you - I asked for a neutral look that would still make me feel like a beautiful and she did amazing! I felt like I was glowing all day and night and I got so many compliments! Thank you to this amazing human that is so talented and helped make me feel like the most beautiful person in the room I'm not kidding when I say that I've had multiple people ask me who my hair and make up team was because they want to use them in the future. I'm a bridesmaid in an Indian wedding in September and will be working with these ladies again BOOK THEM IN ADVANCE!! They are way too good and will be booked if you wait too long!

Literally my mom could not stop talking about how Makenzi made her look radiant and 30 years younger without it looking unnatural. Easy to talk to, she understands your vision and truly just enhances it. We had two artists that day for my party's size and one was delayed, no worries here because Makenzi sped up, took on extra folks, and everyone was able to be ready by the time of our first look. Loved Makenzi. I did both my trial and day of with her and couldn't be happier.

For me particularly, as someone who rarely wears makeup, it was important to look like a heightened version of myself, rather than someone completely unrecognizable. I went for a hair and makeup trial months ahead of the big day; while the hair was perfect, I had some notes to scale back the makeup. Makenzi really internalized that feedback and delivered the perfect face for the wedding day itself: understated, yet enhanced. It lasted all day and made me feel so confident. Perhaps more importantly, though, the moms were both so happy with their final product - and my mom can be tough to please! Makenzi didn't bat an eye when my mom asked for multiple tweaks to her eye makeup, and stayed right on schedule. She exudes a sunny professionalism that is so welcome as the (likely) first vendor you interact with on your wedding day! I wish Makenzi could do my makeup every day!

I did a trial run a month before, and we got to go through several hair styles as well as several make up looks. I know my hubby likes my hair down more than in an up-do, so I simply ended up having my hair curled down to the side with a bejeweled clip--I'm pretty sure it wasn't that simple though, cuz I surely wouldn't have been able to replicate the exact look! It virtually stayed in place the entire night--believe it or not--and by the end, it was still quite presentable (see pic)! She also placed fake eyelashes on all those who had their make-up done. Katie Cedillo did my makeup for Engagements, Bridals, and my Wedding Day. For someone who doesn't wear makeup, we started small with the engagements so I wouldn't feel overwhelmed and not know who I was looking at in the mirror. My makeup was flawless and Katie captured exactly what I was hoping for. The more comfortable I got with airbrush, eyelashes, etc. the bolder we took it for the wedding day. I still had very down-to-earth/natural makeup but felt like a princess. My makeup was absolutely gorgeous. I appreciate that Katie took her time in making me feel comfortable and kept with the idea and look that I was going for! Having someone work on your face for all three events was the best idea because by the time the wedding arrived, we knew exactly what to do! Side note, Katie also did my hair for all three events. On Avery suggestion, I did a trial run with my make-up a few weeks before the wedding. I showed her photos of the look I wanted and did my make-up in the same fashion. At the end of the trial we talked about what I liked and didn't. We tweaked the look a couple of times and took some photos in the sun so that I could get an idea of how my make-up would look for my outdoor wedding. On the day of the wedding Avery was a dream to work with. She was on-time to the site where we were getting ready, and was set-up before the first "appointment" time of the day. She brought an assistant with her to help with the bridal party, and her assistant was also top notch. All of us left that day feeling like pampered beauty queens. Varying from full on glamour girl to an "I rarely wear make-up" tom boy, Avery customized each look to the person's desired result. And my day of make-up was EVEN BETTER than my trial run. She was able to put together exactly what I wanted and I have never felt more beautiful. I looked like a brighter version of my daily self without feeling overly made up or like a drag queen.
