I am beyond upset and disappointed with my experience with Ofelia. I specifically requested a…read morenatural, dimensional balayage that maintained my darker brunette base with soft blonde highlights. I showed inspiration photos and repeatedly emphasized that I did NOT want to be overly blonde or lose my natural darker tones. During the appointment, Ofelia used a highlighting cap, which immediately concerned me. I questioned her technique multiple times and continued reiterating what I wanted. Each time, she reassured me, saying, "I'll take care of you." Unfortunately, the final result was NOTHING like what I requested. My brunette dimension was practically gone, and I was left with an overly light, golden blonde that looks nothing like the natural balayage I wanted. I was so devastated that I literally cried in the salon chair. She offered to fix it the following day, but after this experience, I no longer felt comfortable trusting her with my hair. What should have been an exciting hair appointment before my sister's wedding has turned into an absolute nightmare. I now have to find someone to correct my color just days before the wedding. I communicated exactly what I wanted, repeatedly voiced my concerns, and trusted her reassurances. Unfortunately, I left feeling completely unheard and devastated by the results. I would not recommend this experience.

I booked an appointment with the salon's highest-level stylist, who advertises herself as a…read moreblonding specialist. I showed her exactly the platinum tone I wanted. My receipt reflects a premium service labeled "Platinum AF." I paid $650 for what I believed would be master-level platinum blonding. Instead, approximately 70% of my foils were placed by an assistant who graduated cosmetology school in June 2024 and had only been working at the salon for three months. The lead stylist repeatedly stepped away to service other clients. She was not consistently present during application and did not meaningfully evaluate the foils until removal was nearly complete. The assistant also performed all foil removal. Platinum blonding is one of the most technically demanding chemical services in the industry. It requires precision placement, careful saturation, and close monitoring. That did not happen. The final result was objectively poor: * Large orange and yellow hot spots throughout * Uneven processing * The nape of my neck partially unhighlighted on one side * Patchy tonal inconsistency * Noticeable dryness and signs of chemical damage This was not a subtle "slightly off tone." This was visibly uneven, brassy, and inconsistent work -- especially unacceptable at this price point. When I expressed concern immediately in the chair, I was told it was "the lighting" and reassured it was platinum. I was not shown the back of my head before leaving. When I got home, my 14-year-old daughter walked in and said, "Your hair is yellow." I had not said a word to her. The issue was obvious. I returned the next day requesting a partial refund because I did not feel comfortable allowing additional bleach on already compromised hair. I was told refunds are against policy. Charging premium, specialist-level pricing while delegating the majority of a complex platinum service to a newly graduated assistant -- without clear and direct informed consent in the chair -- feels like a deceptive practice. Clients deserve transparency about who is performing a chemical service on their hair. If I am paying for a master blonding specialist, I expect that specialist to perform the work. At $650, there should be a clear transformation and a "wow" moment. Instead, I left with uneven, brassy, partially unprocessed hair and no accountability. Future clients should ask very clearly who will actually be performing their service before agreeing to premium pricing.

One of my friends told me a while back that she tried to schedule an appt with a "Jenny something" in RR, but couldn't because Jenny was booked 3 months out. In my skeptical mind, I was like she can't be that good only because I don't put that much effort into my hair and was never going to wait 3 months for an appt. Well, recently I was contacted by a Jenny T for a macaron order via IG. When I was reading the message from Jenny requesting the order, I happened to be over at that friend's house for dinner, and honestly, blurted out "does anyone know a Jenny T?" My friend immediately said, that's who I tried to make an appt with!! And guess what, I was in desparate need of a redo of my hair color. I colored my hair for the first time ever a few months ago, and it did not go well, I was disappointed and stuck with a color I never wanted! I've been procastinating the redo because I didn't have faith in anyone getting the color I wanted originally. I took a leap of faith and asked Jenny whether she can fix my hair and if by any chance, she is availabe before my wedding date in May. She scheduled me in 3 weeks later after I asked. She took care of my hair for 3.5 hrs, cleaned up the mess (I should say blended it in), got really close to what I wanted with a foilyage. Note that what I wanted couldn't be achieved on the first or second try because my hair is really dark to begin with. I wanted to go really light ashy gray. But I do love the color she did for my hair, my hair now has personality. My friends loved it when I sent them the photos. They have been asking me when I was going to redo the previous disaster. If you are going to drop this much money on your hair, do it with someone talented who cares about the quality of her/his work.

Ever since then I've gone to her for regular up keep and trims, and she always slays it. Even in between visits, my hair will fade like normal, but still looks fantastic and natural.
