I call ahead and they only have not been able to get me in quickly once. Everyone here is so sweet to my 4 year old daughter. I bring her in occasionally as a special treat. I like that they give an itemized bill and take cards. Sure it's not the fanciest nail place ever but I come in every 2-3 weeks for a pedicure or manicure or both. I don't need anything pretty- I need consistent and reasonably priced which is why I come back again.

I asked for coffin shape and got uneven squares, which looked bad. The paint job itself was good though. I ended up cutting them down and rounding them off myself. I also didn't realize they didn't take credit cards until after the fact; nothing was posted on the doors or at the desk indicating that. I had to use their ATM which charged an additional fee. I understand wanting to get through a procedure quickly, but when you're physically hurting your customers because you're in a rush, that's a problem.

My sister got married in Geneva this weekend and I chose studio salon and spa for our hair, makeup,…read moremanicures, and pedicures. They also have a massage therapist there although we did not use her. Everyone there was phenomenally nice. They were knowledgeable and professional. They did our hair and makeup perfectly, asking what we liked, didn't like, how we normally did makeup, etc. What I really appreciated was my hair stylist asking if I was self-conscious about anything before beginning. As it happens, I think I look like dumbo with my hair pulled back super straight. She understood perfectly and made sure that my hair had some volume on each side to minimize my ears. (PS this is an AVEDA salon, so they have really been put through the test!) Their team did 9 ladies hair (from 1/2 inch long to 18 inches long, SUPER thick hair, and very thin hair) and 9 ladies makeup (from ages 21-83) and had us out EARLY if you can believe it! I think it took 2-2 1/2 hours total. (they had at least 5-6 people working on us all morning) The only reason I'm deducting a star is because they only had 2 pedicure stations (the day before we had 10 ladies looking for mani-pedis). We had been told that there would be 3 pedicures at a time, while in reality there was only one person able to do the pedicures for the first hour and a half (total: only 2 completed pedicures). After that a second person became available (the third did manicures straight through) and the speed picked up considerably (we were all out of there in 4 hours). All in all I would recommend it to anyone having a wedding in the area with the understanding that Geneva is very small and it would be impossible to have more than 2 people in your party to have a pedicure all at once. (as a matter of interested, I only know how much the pedicures were: $35 each plus tip - tell them the amount you want to tip on the credit card BEFORE she rings it up or you'll need cash!)

The makeup lasted long into the night and made for beautiful photos. The mother of the groom is not used to wearing hardly any makeup, loved her look and was not "over done" but done exactly for what was fitting for her and her style. Some bridesmaids opted NOT to do makeup with the stylist and to DIY but I would recommend all going with the make-up artist to lessen stress of them doing it themselves if they have a bad makeup day and ensure it is going to be long lasting, plus you KNOW it is going to look amazing! Hair - all of Linseys updos were amazing and lasted all night. She is very skilled and able to do many different hair styles for all types of hair. My bridesmaids looked stunning.
