Mr. and Mrs. Tann are true professionals. I bought my wife's engagement and wedding rings from Beautiful Jewelry over a year ago and we always recommend their place when our friends are looking for jewelry or tie the knot. Whenever we stop by, Mrs. Tann always graciously cleans my wife's rings free of charge. I looked at similarly graded stones at Jared, which charged about double. Beautiful Jewelry is a truly a gem (no pun intended) of a store for your jewelry needs. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE!! The quality was not the best but the price was good, so I ended up getting some jewelries. However, it lost it's shine as soonest I showered and the quality was extremely poor without the lightings inside their shop. It's worse than my Swarovski that I wear everyday!! It's the husband and wife working together, so when you ask for price, they'll talk all over in their own language. They kept changing price on me, so I am not going back. Very rude and bad customer service. You get what you pay for.. read more

John did it again. Picked up my wedding band(s) yesterday and absolutely love that I can change the bands around to change the look of my ring from day to day! The color and the sparkle is amazing! Thank you John! read more

Beautiful jewelry at Beautiful Jewelry! (Inside the Jewelry Mart. As you walk straight down the entrance hallway, the 2nd booth on your right.) John and his wife Sim have been in the business for 20+ years. They are kind, friendly, helpful, honest and knowledgeable, which are all valuable qualities a customer needs in their jewelers, especially nowadays in an era of information and advertisement overload. Their collections are elegant, classy and just simply beautiful. I love everything they have and it's hard not to pick out something that you like from various styles of diamond rings (you can pick a mounting and a loose stone separately), bracelets, necklaces, also some jewelry with precious and semi-precious colored stones like sapphire, ruby, emerald, amethyst, citrine, tourmaline, etc. The best is, if you have a specific request of a style, design or a stone, they can make it happen because of their network and years of experience in the industry. On top of everything their prices are reasonable! I love my sapphire ring, and my friend loves his custom-designed opal ring. He just showed John a picture of the design he wanted with a loose opal stone he bought from the opal fair in Orange County, and John turned his fantasy into reality! John and Sim are probably some of the most authentic, honest and nicest people you will encounter, and their excellent work ethic will undoubtedly deliver a pleasant and positive experience for all their customers. I understand many people would rather go for a big chain store for the SEEMINGLY extra assurance for an expensive purchase, but all the precious stones come with a report and certificate from a reputable lab like EGL and GIA, and most of all, John and Sim are trustworthy people. Support local business! read more

I worked with Mr John Tann to order two customized diamond gold bands. I provided him with a picture and specifications. He provided me with a very reasonable cost estimate and said the bands would be ready in about two weeks. Sure enough .. they are stunningly WOW! Exquisite craftsmanship and quality! And A+ customer service! Highly recommended! read more

We've been using Beautiful Jewelry for over 20 years for custom and under the glass purchases. John and his wife are very friendly, patient and honest people. John and his wife are amazing! They have such a beautiful collection of high quality pieces. I got my engagement ring and wedding rings from them. We live in San Diego, but every time we are up in Fullerton visiting family, we stop by to see them and get the rings polished/cleaned. They are always so warm, welcoming and customer service oriented. We've referred all of our family and friends to them - They truly are one of a kind! read more

John and Sim Tann are the best. My husband upgraded my ring to a larger stone about 25 yrs ago and we have been doing business with them ever since. I lost my stone in Hawaii when I fell down some stairs and never found it. I was heart broken but John fixed us up with another great diamond at a very good price. I will never shop anywhere else. My daughter got engaged last year and her ring was also purchased at Beautiful Jewelry. She loves her new ring. It is just gorgeous!!! Please shop here and don't even bother going anywhere else. The quality is the best, Prices are great! I call it one stop shopping you can find everything you need. read more

I don't usually leave YELP reviews, but the fact that Beautiful Jewelry only had 4 reviews so far prompted me to write in. John and his wife are hands down the best jewelers you can go to. They are extremely knowledgeable, patient and understands that shopping for an engagement ring is one of the biggest and most memorable decisions in your life. A Buddy of mine recommended John to me. I sent John exactly what I was looking for and he got back to me ASAP via e-mail. However, after hearing all those stories of how jewelers try to rip you off on everything, I was very hesitant. Even after John told me that he found what I wanted, I was expecting him to add all these fees and costs on top. I told myself I would not purchase on the first trip there, even if it was exactly what I wanted. But that wasn't the case at all. John and his wife were extremely patient with me, listened to my concerns and understood I wasn't ready to purchase. He only told me to come in when I was ready, but he assured me that he had the best deal. And he was right. I purchased my ring just last week and my now fiance couldn't be happier with the ring. It was perfect! If you've read this far, the key takeaway from this review is that Mr. and Mrs. Tann are NOT PUSHY and yet they offered the best deal. I absolutely hate talking to pushy salesman who might talk you in to buying something completely outside of what you originally wanted. DON'T DO IT! When you're looking to spend that much, go to somewhere you feel comfortable. You already have enough pressure planning the proposal - You don't need more pressure buying the ring. Remember - YOU'RE the customer. If you like haggling with jewelers, then by all means go for any jeweler out there, but if you're looking for someone that is patient and understanding, go to Beautiful Jewelry. I guarantee you will not be disappointed! read more

I bought my wife's engagement ring and our wedding rings from John and Sim almost 10 years ago and they were super helpful and nice so when she had her eye on new diamond earrings, we knew there was only one place we would go. We showed John a picture of a style she liked and in no time he had three different versions made, each more stunning than the next (as you can see). Again, John and Sim couldn't be easier or nicer to deal with and the jewelry is the best quality and yet still totally affordable. We couldn't be happier. read more

Best in class! Honest, trustworthy, helpful, and all around the nicest jewelers on the planet.

John is the guy to see when you're in search for your next jewelry purchase. We had been shopping around for upgrades to our rings for quite some time - pricing diamonds, checking out styles etc... for my wife and I. When we heard through word of mouth to take a look at Beautiful Jewelry. We decided to check it out and were glad that we did. John really took care of us. My wife was looking for a specific type of look and quality for her ring. John initially didn't have anything that she was looking for, but offered to order what she was looking for. The following weekend, we came back and were amazed that he was able to find exactly what she wanted. After looking at several diamonds under the microscope to determine the severity of inclusions in the "Small Inclusion" category; we finally decided on a diamond. When it was placed in the setting it completed my wife's desire. Next of course was cost. Due to the low overhead and volume of merchandise that John sells he's able to provide a price that is incomparable to outside jewelers who we visited. Other jewelers had marked their diamonds up so high, that in comparison, we were able to get a higher quality diamond at a fraction of the cost that we would have payed elsewhere through him. I'll be honest here, diamonds aren't cheap, but to give you an idea of the difference in cost, the diamond we got was over one karat, and less than three thousand dollars that the jewelers in the mall were going to charge for a less than comparable one karat diamond. Overall, they've been in business for over 20 years in the same location. While we were there, there must have been about 7 other customers that came while we were shopping and John knew them by name, that's the kind of relationship he has with his regulars. Good quality, friendly and excellent service! read more

John and Sim are wonderful people to work with. They were very honest and give me great advice on what to by. I will definitely be back and recommending to friends and family. read more

My husband bought my beautiful engagement ring here. We have gone back many times in these last 7 years for upgrades and to buy other Jewlery pieces. My last upgrade for Mother's Day was a custom one, and it came out amazing! I get compliments on my ring everyday! It's exactly what I asked for. John & Sim Tann are amazing. They listen to what you like and what budget you'd like to spend and they'll work with that. Give them a try! You won't be disappointed! read more

John is simply amazing. Custom designed my fiancés ring and made the perfect wedding band to match it. I went to all the big name jewelry stores, downtown LA and even the other jewelry stores where John is located and johns price simply could not be beat. He is very professional and trustworthy. When I ordered my wedding band, he didn't even ask for a deposit. He is like family. My sister referred me to him, she got her wedding rings from him over 10 years ago. And if I'm correct John has family in the diamond district in downtown LA and is able to get you anything your heart desires. To top it off John even remembers my name when I walk in after not seeing him months at a time. It was my first piece of expensive jewelry that I had bought and he made me feel comfortable and educated me on diamonds instead of trying to upsell me. I can go on and on giving John praise but you should go see for yourself how amazing him and his wife are! read more

I love this place. My fiance bought my ring there awhile back and we've been going there ever since. Mr. and Mrs. Tann are extremely helpful and friendly. More importantly though, they're trustworthy, which is important in a jeweler, especially when it comes to diamonds. Even though I live in downtown LA, I go to the Tanns whenever I'm ready for some seriously jewelry shopping. Plus, whenever I put an order in, Mr. Tann keeps me updated through email, which works out perfectly. My fiance and I will be heading back there soon for the wedding bands. I never feel any pressure to buy and always feel like I'm getting a good price from Beautiful Jewelry. read more

I can't say enough GREAT things about John and his wife Sim. My fiance and I were referred to John by someone who previously purchased their wedding rings from him and we are so glad to have been introduced to them! John and his wife are so patient and they never pressured us to buy anything, ever! He wanted to make sure we made the right decision based on our needs and budget and we always felt comfortable talking to him. When we started planning out every detail of the ring with him (we had a lot of details!), he paid close attention to what we wanted and he always answered any questions we had. I finally saw the ring when my fiance proposed to me and I LOOOOOVE IT!!!! I must have told my fiance a hundred times that John went above and beyond my expectations!!!! We had met with many jewelers before meeting with John, and by far he was the most reasonable in price and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out! I look forward to choosing out our wedding bands with him in the next few months!! read more

I went to Beautiful Jewelry after my friend recommended it to me. He told me that they were honest, and that they were the best price around for the quality. Well, I went there and found the ring on the first visit. I knew nothing about rings. All I knew was that I wanted to spend a certain amount, and they found me the "right" ring. They explained to me the entire process and what was what. I was very pleased with the service and most importantly the price. I would recommend Beautiful Jewelry to all my friends. You should at least give them a look. I think you will be glad you did. read more

I was told by a friend to check out Beautiful Jewelry in Fullerton in the Jewelry Mart, and I worked with the owner John and his wife Sim on finding my fiance the perfect ring! It was a rewarding experience with no pressure sales tactics and John was very knowledgeable and accommodating on finding me the exact diamond ring I was looking for. In fact, I just brought him a picture of the ring I was looking for, and a week later he found the exact setting and diamond that I requested. It was by far the easiest experience in purchasing something so expensive and important to any man's decision to take the plunge. I shopped around online at bluenile and even amazon and the prices on their diamonds are still cheaper. And, as a bonus, John said it was his store's policy to offer an upgrade option, that in the future, if I want to exchange the ring and diamond for something bigger or nicer, he will give me the credit back that I paid, and apply it towards something else. You can't go wrong with that assurance, and it definitely gives us men some added insurance and confidence in finding a ring, and not worrying if the fiance doesn't completely love it. We will be back soon to buy our wedding bands from John and Sim. You must check them out. read more
