Shortly after complaining to the Pro Grass company about their workers urinating behind the garage.. at least that's what it looked like... and the fact that when they turned around it was obvious they were putting Mr Winky back in his hiding place; anyway.. after that complaint they started blowing all the yard debris onto my front porch area. This is sooooo unprofessional. I would not recommend Pro Grass for any business especially if there are young.. and older.. children running around.. which there are and were plenty when the obscene displays were happening. I cannot stress enough that I don't trust them and I'm certainly not recommending them.

Our arborist found we needed a great deal of work done on a property that had been sadly neglected…read morefor years. We needed dead trees removed, live trees removed (two intertwined with a valuable cedar and one extremely close to the house!) some dead trees snagged, and some very tall trees pruned. Ken's Tree Service was recommended by everyone we asked and we soon saw why. Theirs was the lowest bid with the highest quality of work. Ken, the owner, personally supervises every job and his decades of experience really showed. The crew was highly professional, very safe, and they all knew exactly what they were doing. They showed up on time, worked together like a well-oiled machine, and didn't waste a minute. They were very careful, didn't cause any damage to other plants or buildings, and their cleanup was great, even blowing sawdust off our roof. They do NOT use spikes to climb trees--important during this drought when trees are already so stressed. We could not have been more impressed with the caliber of this company.

My partner and I engaged Hector Mendoza at Wise Redwood a few weeks ago to perform weeding,…read morespreading mulch, power-washing the driveway, patio and walkways, as well as hauling, spreading and tamping oyster shells and skimming dead remains of moss on our older bocce court. I must comment that Hector (and his crew) are the most professional and courteous hired-help we have encountered to this date. I will relate that we bought a house in need of considerable rehab before we could truly feel at home, and we have hired numerous persons and entities to remediate the errors and lapses of the builder and previous occupant. Upon arrival at the outset of the first day, Hector introduced me to his three hands: R, M and J. In the process R seemed to be in charge, but he was the most difficult to converse with (language ignorances) and I wound up spending time advising M and J, or answering the question M and J had for me. There were two minor glitches on day one: R used our hose hanging on a rack secured to the exterior wall for the washing of the patio. R did not return it thereafter to the rack upon finishing or at the end of the day. Finally, M and I discussed the working on the bocce court and later J joined the task with M. and began not fulfilling that goal. Hector should empower his workers in such a context to "correct" another worker who assumes a task and who does not fulfill the goals of the prior conversation between the property-owner and a second worker, in this case M. Only R, M and J performed the tasks on day one. They were all, except as noted, exceedingly thorough and most competent, professional and polite. As I supervised 99% of the work done, I will say that while a few tasks remain undone necessitating a return in a few days, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with Hector, R, M and J again! (Frankly, I do not understand why other persons and entities in this area are not equally polite and professional as I experienced at this time. IT IS a people-interfacing business!)

So, after working with him for over a year, I think a review update is in order. Everything I said in my original review is still true. I am not going to repeat them here; please see the original review. What has become more and more clearly after interacting with him for over a year is that ZAC TAKES CARE OF MY YARD AS IF IT'S HIS OWN! He does a lot of extra things and he doesn't even charge me for them. Yesterday, I came home and found Zac on all fours on my front yard weeding! For one thing, it was a 80 degree day. Also, he is NOT even expected to put out the weeds. I learned that he had been doing that without telling me because my house is on a corner lot and is very visible to people who walk by. So, Zac is not only knowledge and good at what he does but also very passionate about what he does. I could not possibly ask for more from him.
